Since /qa/ doesn't have an actual defined purpose, I'm gonna make a video game thread here.
Do you like video games? What's your favourite video game? Who's your favourite video game character?

/qa/ - Question & Answer
There are no board specific rules here, but one can logically deduce that one should ask and answer questions here. Now at first this thread seems good, but then we have to remember that there is a better board for this particular subject. Due to this line of reasoning, this thread should not be on this board.
It's very obscure, but I like Star Trek Bridge Commander, mostly because I like star trek and it has 14 years worth of user made mods and DLCs floating around the internet. It was a PC game made by the old Activision and came out in 2003 so I can't discuss it on /vr/ and I dare not post about it on /v/.

tfw /qa/ is a better video game board than /v/
Where's my sequel?
I don't play a lot of video games, just Touhou Project

>Do you like video games?
Yes of course I love them
What's your favourite video game?
Way too many to list this short of notice. I even have multiple answers if I deperate per genre and single/multiplayer.
Who's your favourite video game character?
I think Siegfried Schtauffen from the Soul Calibur series. I can pick up any entry and instantly feel like I am moving a part of my body with him.

Mountain of Faith is my favourite shootemup touhou. I want another arcanoid clone like touhou 1.

DOES ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER THIIIIIIS GEM?

That's yet to be seen. This thread only has 15 posts right now, anything could happen.
I've been playing video games for longer than some people on this site have been alive, and I'm completely serious when I say that Undertale rocketed up to one of my favorites. It delivered everything I really ever wanted out of a video game and then some. It's a bit disheartening that people are inclined to hate it just because a lot of people feel the same way I do about it, if also entirely unsurprising. However, I've also come to realize that they're just an exceptionally vocal minority, so it doesn't bother me too much.

>What's your favorite video game?
Monster Hunter series
>Favorite video game character?
Edison Trent from Freelancer

I have to agree with OP making it here since /v/ is part of the most cancerous group of boards on the website, which also includes /pol/, /fit/, /tv/ and /mu/. They all seem to have the exact same userbase that seem to use said boards for shitposting rather than their intended subject.
Megaman X1
Arino, he had several video games so he counts

I expected way more of the difficulty. I love the idea of the genremix but the fights are too damn easy even for an STG scrub like me.

He even made it into Mario Maker, the victory tune is so lovely.

It certainly is not a very difficult game, admittedly. I suppose that's to be expected when there's only one difficulty setting and being too difficult could discourage casual players from continuing. In my case I don't mind low difficulty if the game has other things going for it, like a good atmosphere. But it is a valid criticism. It would be nice if Toby Fox actually did a complete Hard Mode at some point, since he certainly has the capability of making difficult fights.
Also, it bothers me a bit that it's common to classify Undertale as a bullet hell. The bullet patterns are nowhere near dense enough for that. Perhaps that's splitting hairs but that is how I feel.
