Sometimes I feel like when those janitor/mod recruitment calls come, I feel like I should apply for them because I feel like I can objectively help boards I visit; specially when they get crowded with spam during hours of the day the already installed jannies aren't on.

Do I have to be a tripfag to become a useful person for 4chan?
you don't have to be a tripfag, but you do have to give the staff some kind of a name to call you. you can still be anonymous to other 4chan users.

But it doesn't necessarily means it has to be something related to 4chan, right? Ever since I started posting here I took a posture of having no name, except for a month or so where I posted on MTG Rule threads in /tg/ (one of those places where you really need to use tripcodes to be useful).

it'd probably be better if it had nothing to do with 4chan. then when some disgruntled staff member leaks more shit, no one will be able to say "oh shit that tripfag i hate is a janny, i better shitpost furiously and make his life hell".

I guess I'll get with the times and do it next time.
>it will be rejected anyway
The one question, "Do you partake in the 4chan IRC?" always gets me. I say "No" and my application goes directly into the trash.

Well I could go there and stuff but, seriously, what will I do there?
