As you may know, /t/ is a ghost town. Threads from a month ago are still there. It's just full of JAV and hentai, most threads are complete shit.
I think /t/ should be remade as /fs/ - Filesharing. It will be a SFW board where we can discuss filesharing such as MEGA/Mediafire/etc., public and private trackers, the torrent scene, torrent clients, along with other p2p methods like Soulseek, IPFS, etc. The JAV and hentai can be confined to a SFW general (like the Hentai Game Generals on /vg/) or just pushed to /r/.
Hardly anyone uses /t/ in its current state, I think this makeover would be great. It would also push torrent threads out of /g/ and /tv/.
I support this Idea.
/t/ is dead and people on /g/ complain about generals like the IPFS one and the private tracker one.

I support this idea.

This would be great to clean up the boards and have a viable file sharing community

I disagree with turning the board SFW. Let's not hide it, the main reason this thread was made was because /ptg/ on /g/ needs a new home (mods/janitors are deleting them now). You essentially want to usurp /t/ to make it your safe place.
This thread is hiding behind a reddit agenda by wanting to turn more and more boards SFW.

Not everything is about SJWs and anti-SJWs you faggot.

/vg/ works pretty well as a SFW board.
/hgg/ and the other splinter groups have no problems with it.

4chan has never been a place you should browse at work and you know that. Even in SFW boards.
There is no good reason at all to turn a board SFW. Does pornographic content trigger you? Does your vision turn blurry and start bleeding from your nose as soon as you take a peak at a vagina? How will NSFW content have any meaningful impact on whether you can discuss filesharing subjects or not?

>There is no good reason at all to turn a board SFW.
Do you honestly think a whether or not a board is SFW has no impact on the discussion on it? Should /v/ be NSFW? What about /g/?
>>418991
You talking apple and oranges here. /v/ is one of the top 3 most popular boards, and was always a blueboard.
/g/ is irrelevant, we're talking about /t/ here. You want to turn something that was NSFW forever into SFW for no reason other than, I must assume, you wanting a "safe place" that you can browse at work or while your family watches over your shoulder.
>>418992
So what's your stake in /t/ staying dead and nsfw? Do you honestly think the board would be anything but porn sharing if it was nsfw? What you want is a sitewide nsfw, it's an entirely different thing.

People, if you want it, you have to request it here

I hope 4chan decides for this..

Sent it to them.

1. Go to /mu/
2. Do this by making threads thinly music related (there are already what.cd threads/ sharethreads)
3. Job well done Cap'n
/t/ is an old board and only used by people who like its slowness, /t/ is as it should be, your idea doesn't belong there.
>>420859
you're an idiot

Explain to me, logically, why /t/ should be changed. If /t/ should be changed for being slow and having threads that are several months old; /ic/, /gd/ and /3/ should be amalgamated into /art/ - Art and Design. Just because you don't like the fact your crappy general was allocated elsewhere doesn't mean established boards need to change their status quo to be accepting of "new" users who have no idea about the older boards' uses, it's the same logic to used to justify /f/'s removal because it's "old and outdated". If you want to ``discuss" torrents in a neat sterilised manner there are several other websites to facilitate that.
