Appropriate threads on /his/ about religion would be "How exactly did the Protestant schism occur" or "what are the differences between these denominations" or "What does this faith practice" or something like those. But people are twisting it into "Christian generals" and "how did you become an atheist" threads and "what is your belief" threads and "Is there a God" threads. Plus, general worshiping.

So stop starting threads with shit like "Dude, what do you think the meaning behind everything is?" or "Why aren't you killing yourself right now? Dude, what's the point?" And again, "Is there a God" threads. Rather, you should ask, what philosophies answer those questions and how.
Contain the religious/anti-religious circlejerking and philosophizing to /rel/ - Worship and Philosophy.

That "Humanities" category on /his/ has been a real minefield. Many people wanted /his/ going back to the /q/ days, no one ever asked for /rel/ except as a containment board.

These also aren't really historical questions, although they may lead to a historical answers. For the most part all the talk about religion is in the present tense.
There's also a lot of overlap by making the /his/ board so broad. /lit/ panicked they were going to lose their philosophy discussion when /his/ was created but they still have it. /pol/ still has history, religion and atheism threads. /x/ still has religion and atheism threads.
