Lets be honest. At this point: what is 4chan? It's never

It's been shit for years now but I can't leave.

What it used to be: a website where computer-literate nerds came to discuss their hobbies and exchange brutally honest critique.

What it is now: it's still a place to discuss hobbies except all of the people who contributed good content have left.

Because I can have an open ended discussion about things I like.
There's also literally nothing better.

I come here to talk about stuff. The board I go to has much more variety than other sites for similar topics, and most of it is decent discussion. Everyone being anonymous means we kind of start over from scratch every now and then, but that also leads to better consensus, since only decent ("Good" might be too strong of a word, in a lot of cases) ideas actually filter through to later threads.
Other boards also exist, but I don't care about them either way.
