>created as a containment board
>infecting every other board
Why is this allowed to happen?

"containment board" is a myth.
I blame teenagers and university-kids who go to /pol/ for epic memes, and ultra-nationalist east-euros.
>>407405
The things about /pol/ you don't like infect the entire internet and doesn't originate on /pol/
>>407419
It works with MLP.

Because if we touch them we're taking away their free speech, hence why cuck was unfiltered, and desu and baka weren't, despite one of those being frequently used in a non shitposting way, and the other being the name of a prominent australian newspaper.
>>407462
Because that has a site wide rule for it to actually contain something.
>>407511
Cuck being filtered wasn't even about them, it was about unfunny morons thinking that the best way to be humorous was to run a joke into the ground.
>>408334
Yes, but it was unfiltered because of them.
Containment boards only work when there's a rule to contain them, but then you could just make a rule that you can't post them at all which is much better than having a containment board.
"Containment Board" doesn't work. It's more like an "Incubator Board".
/pol/ is essentially /b/ with standard rules enforced. I personally don't think the fallout would be a all that bad if it were deleted but people seem to cling to the idea that chaos would ensue.
