Do you report shitposts/low quality content?
only if they're really terrible, like if someone fills the textbox up with memes.

Only if it specifically pisses me off or it gets spammed a lot.

I report leftist drivvel

Of the times you reported what you thought was shitposting, what percentage of the time did mods take action based on your claims? I'd be willing to bet that mods ignored you for the most part.
The only time I can be assed to report something is if it's /soc/ content (mostly on porn boards, which is really distracting) or /pol/ outside of /pol/.
Given you have to type CAPTCHAs for every report, paired with several boards being severely under-moderated, it's hardly worth the effort.
Yes, but I often lose the motivation to do it because of captcha.
Some boards like /a/ and /jp are also much more responsive to it than boards like /v/ or /pol/ because more things are actually reported instead of fed. You can actually feel like you're making a difference because it's a board that you feel a desire to protect.
I don't know how you can convince /v/irgins to report things instead of giving them 30 replies, but I also don't know if they actually want things to change. I just don't want to give on on that board, no matter how many times it proves itself dead

>give on
give up
I don't care about off topic to a certain extent but you have to do something or else modern shitposters will take over and use the board for whatever they want
i did for a long time, but much content that is specifically not allowed on my board is being protected by the moderation.
no idea why "doug" and RLM are allowed to advertise on /tv/
>>402639
Nope. Unless they're /pol/fags. I report that ALL THE TIME.

typical browsing session on /g/
>get on
>look at the catalog
>reel backwards in disgust
>report all the gaming PC threads
>report all the tech support threads
>report all the blatant bait threads
>report all the tired low hanging fruit shitpost threads
>report all the stale meme threads
>report all the "board culture" shitpost threads
>report the /pol/shit threads
>hide the remaining 50% of the remaining 20% of the board
>report any flamebait shit that leaks out of the /v/ and /pol/ threads into interesting threads
>blog about it if it's particularly bad (what's a drop of shit in an ocean of shit?)
>realize the futility of my efforts
>don't do it again for another week
>repeat
I don't even know why I come here anymore, all the other chans are shit and everything else is full of admin worship, reputation circlejerks or extreme rulefagging
This thread is entrapment. Do not reply.
I NEVER report shitposts, unless they're nonsensical AND unfunny like berry nice girl from /s4s/. I love seeing a board go up in flames from the might of memes

You're a good guy.
Let's save /g/ together.
