I want everyone who makes roll threads to be castrated by knife in public.

That's the co-pilot's seat.
Is this an anthropomorphic ("furry") image?
I don't like furry things, but what I like less are the people who would say that image should be deleted, but if it wasn't furry, it would be accepted. It's all fapbait garbage. Double standards ruin my day, because people with them are always terrible.
A daring synthesis.
banner submission thread
Pretty nice, but I think its filesize is probably too big.

What was the problem here?
you creating a boring template thread with a social media crap
>>1552098
Why is it ``wrong'' to start threads in a template format?
>>1552098
Some kids think that bringing over their social media images is considered trolling. Basically "I know I am cancer and inferior, so I will share my images because I know it is below your standards".
If they stopped to think about these things they would understand they're insulting themselves quite harshly.

When it comes to how "streamlined" using 4chan is versus the effects on community I believe there is a dip in the middle of that graph that we're currently stuck in.
When 4chan was more non-user-friendly it tended to slow things down (no watcher, no (You)'s, no auto-updates, no alerts) You'd basically have to just remember everything you wanted to monitor or keep a tab open, and refresh each thread yourself manually
It worked for the time, but now that we DO have a bunch of streamlined features I can't help but think the combination just brings out the worst of both worlds. Despite being very user friendly now it still has those tendencies of needing you to keep a bunch of tabs open and constantly manually monitoring everything. The combination shifts 4chan toward the "chatroom" paradigm more than ever.
But we don't have to go back to the old 4chan functionality we could also go forward. Adding a few more comforts could actually have the effect of moving away from the chatroom feel.
What we might want to consider is shooting for the goal where typical users only have to keep 1 or 2 tabs open to monitor everything. Maybe a single page that gives a list of all new threads made since you last checked on all the boards you want to monitor at once, and maybe a list of all posts made in threads you're watching.
When you only have 1 page to check for updates instead of having 20 tabs open you might find you can monitor everything just as effectively but also have time to take a break from 4chan every now and then and go do something else. I don't think this will make people post on 4chan more it would actually probably have the exact opposite effect. Hell, some people might even close their browsers sometimes. This could slow things down a bit and make conversations more interesting because people will actually have things and hobbies to talk about other than just 4chan BEING their hobby, and also alleviate a lot of pointless bickering and baiting.

That's an interesting idea. I've never thought about this before, so I have no strong opinion of it.
I don't use it, but I think CatChan has some of what you want:

Also 4taba has this.

Why was there such a surge in media dealing with zombies during the early 2010's?
If you depended on work, it was a very hard time. If there were zombies, you wouldnt need to worry about work or bills.
>>1551947
Actually a rather interesting theory.
When things are bad, they could always be worse.
Imagine things that way and be glad you don't have to deal with that shit.
>>1552107
That's why reality shows became so big after the 2007 crash. People desire to see people worse than themselves because it makes them feel better about themselves without having to do anything.
I don't think zombies tie into it. It's just that something became popular and people kept copying it over and over.
Memes are fucking cancer - upvote if you agree.
They used to be good. They have only become cancerous though their cancerous Facebook sharers, and people who dilute the concept of what constitutes a meme until it is no longer accurate.
>Any picture of a cat is now a meme somehow
>Most entries on Know Your Meme are just news stories, along with people's tweets about it
Memes themselves are not the cancer; they are just the cancer patient. Modern Internet posters are the cancer.
