Have you ever regretted posting something on 4chan?

i made a really terrible song for one of the [s4s] albumes
i don't know what i was thinking when i made it or how i thought it was acceptable to post
>>1533065
I regret nothing.
Probably the first post that compromised my privacy. If I ever did something under an internet pseudonym now there'd be a paper trail to me being in the specific online community I was.
Thankfully I am still of no importance and not remarkable in any way so idc

Anonymous imageboards and textboards are a mistake in western internet culture. They only have a reason to exist in a society where the righteousness of a person's action is decided by the whole society instead of by what the person wants to follow, such as Japanese culture.
If anyone admits his misbehaving in Japan, his life will be basically ruined because he loses the recognition from the whole society he depends on to thrive. As a result they behave carefully in real life. Anonymous imageboards and textboards enable them to speak what is truly in their heart because they don't have to suffer from being rejected by the whole society thanks to anonymity.
In western culture it's a whole different story. People in the west refrain from doing something because they themselves believe it is wrong instead of the would society. As a result, the primary function of anonymous communities, "to speak what is truly in their heart", doesn't work in western imageboards and textboards. Anonymity adds nothing to these people and western imageboards and textboards are basically the same as other identity-based communities. Small differences exist, however, simply because the ineffectiveness of moderation.
In conclusion, anonymous imageboards and textboards have no reason to exist in the west. 4chan is a big mistake, a pathetic failure of copying what they shouldn't have. Lool at what it has become now after the initial momentum was weared off.
Still better than the alternatives with their voting and vanity points.

Inside of a dream, we can meet again.
Concealing distant memories in my chest, I sing:
Because you protected the ephemeral and flickering world with your hands,
Now you may fold your wings and rest in peace,
Wrapped in eternal tranquility - love through all eternity.
You may rest in my hands as I watch over you tenderly.
I remember you; how you laughed, how you cried, how you angered.
I will never forget about you - until my life is exhausted.

If the text of a post contains "sage", it should silently ignore sage existing in the options field and always bump the thread.
Thank you.
>>1532948
What's that? Make sage visible again?
I agree.
>>1532948
I dont even know why noko and sage are still features.
You dont need noko anymore. You dont need nonoko because you can just quick reply and move on. Sage is useless on really fast boards where the next guy is gonna bump anyway. Announcing sage is worthless because of the previous point and also it's not visible and a lot of people barely know what it means now.
Sometimes I actually use sage, then wonder why I bothered. Other times I think "shit I didnt want to bump that and forgot to sage" then immediately think "oh well people are just gonna bump it anyway."
I feel like we still have these features just out of tradition. Unless you disable any and all site/browser plugins they dont serve a purpose.
>>1534342
On the faster boards it's definitely pointless, but on slower boards it's still a great feature.
almost all of them and now they feel outdated

Please mods get the fuck out of my /a/?
Nothing more pathetic than mods taking their """jobs""" too seriously.
4chan is not place for muh rules faggotery, 4chan is not a place for "quality" content. 4chan is not a place for serious discussion.
4chan is for being smart in smart threads and dumb in dumb threads.
It's not the mods' fault that you managed to make a board entirely out of dumb threads.
Oh boy, another anarchyfag. I bet you chuckle every time you post "hot pocket".
Correct. 4chan is for spam.
If mods are stopping me from devolping greyhat scripts not only are they inhibiting my free speech... They are also inhibiting my enjoyment of 4chan.
I've been here since 2012. Am I still a newfag?
i aint care

As far as I'm concerned all that matters is if someone is a social media baby (incl. ruddit) or not.

Yes, someone on [s4s] tested it:

>>1532926
This is sad.
I see people on 4chan BRAGGING about airplane mode on phone to avoid bans. How do mods stop them if they can't be banned? Any ideas?
Figure out a way to automatically reset your phone ISP, then use a bot to spam so many shit threads from your mobile ISP that the mods have no choice but to ban it.
>>1532910
If they were serious about it, the only way to handle it would be to treat the entire IP range that a mobile device can post in as a single IP, making every ban a rangeban.
Easy
Ban all phoneposters.
