Remember-

Iowa hasn't predicted the eventual Republican nominee half of the time.

But it has predicted the Democrat nominee three quarters of the time.

Trump suffered a setback, Bernie has been dealt a cutting blow.

Holy shit /pol/, check this out:
He actually reads hitlers speeches and its confirmed by himself. Did you know this?

http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trumps-ex-wife-once-said-he-kept-a-book-of-hitlers-speeches-by-his-bed-2015-8
>According to a 1990 Vanity Fair interview, Ivana Trump once told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that her husband, real-estate mogul Donald Trump, now a leading Republican presidential candidate, kept a book of Hitler's speeches near his bed.
>"Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler's collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed ... Hitler's speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist," Marie Brenner wrote.
>Hitler was one of history's most prolific orators, building a genocidal Nazi regime with speeches that bewitched audiences.
>"He learned how to become a charismatic speaker, and people, for whatever reason, became enamored with him," Professor Bruce Loebs, who has taught a class called the Rhetoric of Hitler and Churchill for the past 46 years at Idaho State University, told Business Insider earlier this year.

>"People were most willing to follow him, because he seemed to have the right answers in a time of enormous economic upheaval."
>When Brenner asked Trump about how he came to possess Hitler's speeches, "Trump hesitated" and then said, "Who told you that?"
>"I don't remember," Brenner reportedly replied.
>Trump then recalled, "Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of 'Mein Kampf,' and he's a Jew."
>Brenner added that Davis did acknowledge that he gave Trump a book about Hitler.
>"But it was 'My New Order,' Hitler's speeches, not 'Mein Kampf,'" Davis reportedly said. "I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I'm not Jewish."
>After Trump and Brenner changed topics, Trump returned to the subject and reportedly said, "If, I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them."
>In the Vanity Fair article, Ivana Trump told a friend that her husband's cousin, John Walter "clicks his heels and says, 'Heil Hitler," when visiting Trump's office.

Hello, Dr. Anon here. The mods have sent me to help /pol/ work through their feelings after the death of their favorite meme. Watching a loved one die at the hands of a half breed Canadian isn't easy and the mods wanted to make sure that you guys are doing ok. I'm going to help you work through your feelings, help you understand the stages of grief, and hopefully, reach some closure over the next hours. We all loved Orange Faggot, but it's important to deal with his death in a healthy way. I'll observe and offer my guidance when necessary, or you can ask for my help directly. Whatever you feel more comfortable with. Remember, I'm here to provide you with the emotional support you need during your time of grieving. *hugs*

yeah, he got the most delegates, but only by one, the state isn't winner take all:

you need 1,237 delegates to get the nomination
there are 2,472 delegates available right now

29 have been awarded so far
Trump has 7, Cruz has 8

You can view the final county-by-county results here.

https://www.iagopcaucuses.com/#/state
https://www.iagopcaucuses.com/#/state

I'll give you a rough summary of how the evening unfolded
>Entrance polls showed huge turnout and seemed in Trump's favor
>As the votes came in, Cruz played well in cornfucker country so he started to pull ahead slightly
>Trump was projected to win the cities, which were going to report in later, so he would pull ahead at the end
>Out of fucking nowhere Marco Goddamn Rubio starts surging in Trump-heavy counties way ahead of expectations. Like 10 points higher than anyone had him polled at
>Cruz started to settle in with a 3-4% lead
>Trump got 2nd place with 24% and Rubio nipped at his heels in 3rd with 23%

Something fucked up happened. There was record turnout and tons of new voters but somehow Rubio almost tied The Don. Foul play is suspected on the part of Microsoft and the Rubio Campaign.

Now we go win New Hampshire.

I'm sorry, but did Trump already sex ivanka? Oh, that's right. The trump dick isn't even over yet. In fact, it's only Iowa. Does not having the lead in conbimed harvesters holing central count as a win? Is that what you're sezzing? Because if you're sezzing that I can assume that you're homosexual. how would you make this topic when the cucking is still on???? Trump is still humping right now!!!!!!!! and they have been the top of the polls for how many months now?????cunt?????? He's campaigning against 1 of the worst senators in the Senate who just happined to have a lead because he conned a bunch of the Emperor's finest. But you know wot m8? They still fucking suckle popsicles. Trump is one of the best flipping businessmans in the nation, he rocked and rolled the polls last year dude and would 'av won the last debate if Megyn Kelly (more like SMELLY) didn't meditate. Maybe you should shut the fuck up before you make retarded topics like this. You know why? Because you're going to be embarrassed when Trump wins and someone bumps this topic, kid. Oh look at that, Cruz just dropped a point. Are you a fucking drunk? Are you retarded? Are you autistic? You are a fr*cking idiot man and you should never make a topic on this board again please and I'm fucking serious please. I almost have a feeling you're the only guy making all these anti-Trump topics because you're a faggot hater who doesn't like the Trump because hes God. F*ck you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, be good at something in YOU'RE life and then maybe try to troll these f*cking people on the board, like I give a h*ck. Ted Cruz is known to be THE most hung guy in Washington DC, possibly one of the biggest in the world. his cock has been described as "like an evian bottle", with gargantual thickness that would rival shane diesel and shorty mac. im estimating his size to be at least 8.5" bone pressed, with OVER 7" of girth. he would have absolutely destroyed Donald Trump's ass.

They would have spent hours and hours on foreplay, getting herself wet enough just so she can take it. i can just imagine her begging for it, with Ted barely able to force it past the knob, and Donald moaning and squirming, demanding him to force it in deeper. she would have orgasm'd within seconds of taking the entire length, being filled and stretched right up to her colon, her g-spot getting pounded to the rhythm of a bongo. the orgasm would have been powerful, with her anal muscles clamping down on Ted throbbing monstrosity, her whole body quivering in euphoria..

I bet she still yodels her micro penis to the memory of it, basking in her anal humidity

>>
So what's the split been in Iowa in past elections?
>>
>>62830735
It's excellent for him. Trump's ratio of delegates to investment in the specific state is 10 times Cruz's.

I don't have that many problems with the Cruz personally. He's spent half the campaign in Iowa to score an early win and will most likely be btfo on delegate counter after New Hampshire anyway.

If anything, I'm more concerned about Rubio. It seems the cucks have gone full force and he is the definitive establishment pick. Though even him had to considerably recenter his campaign to appease Trump and Cruz.

Final results just in case anybody wants to save it for history's sake.

Interesting to note Trump's distribution is very similar to Reagan's in 1980.

Reagan lost Iowa and went on to win in a historic landslide.

MAGA and reminder Morning Joe is on. Mika seems OK but despondent.

What does /pol/ think the definite issue with Trump's policies are? If any? I am definitely voting for him when he hit's my state's primaries but, is it just his stance on immigration that has the most hate behind it? Or is it the fact that people like to compare him to Hitler because he wants to keep an eye on a group of religious people who have shown that they want cultures to adapt to their way of thinking instead of vice-versa?

Serious answers would be good, I'm just trying to gather a good argument for the non-stop comparisons I see people make of him to Hitler.

I fear Rubio is the final boss for the nomination.

Cruz has Iowa and possibly Texas, that's the extent the Evangelical vote gets him. However Rubio is funded by Microsoft for supporting their H1B1 visas, who are literally in charge of calculating the votes, how America let this slide I will never know.

Real talk though. Trump staked his entire campaign on being a "winner" and now he has to explain how he is clearly a loser now. That he isn't the media darling he constantly railed against.

Trump needs to win NH and win it as big if not bigger than the polls predict. The same polls that said he would win Iowa comfortably. Otherwise he becomes the Santorum of 2020.

Fair Answers, I have looked over his positions and they are definitely worded well enough that I understand the intentions.

Still, my largest worry is the reason people will not vote for him is his ideas behind how to handle the Muslim refugee issue. I suppose not every candidate is perfect but, it has alot of breaks behind low income families and ensuring jobs are kept in the hands of the American people.

I suppose they can only attack his character since his ideas are relatively on the ball and solid. Still, I've convinced my household to vote for him, they're in significant agreement he's what's best for this upcoming generation on Taxation.
>>

guys, we have to take the Rubio threat seriously. he catapulted to the top of the prediction markets after the Iowa results, and Trump fell really far.

The best hope is that all of the "establishment" candidates like Bush, Kasich, Christie, etc. stay in the race and bash each other and Rubio to death. If the all drop out and the establishment lines up behind Rubio, Trump could be done for.

Trump is 20 points ahead in New Hampshire as of yesterday. But he is losing momentum as of today, Rubio is clearly rising whatever the reason clean or not, and Trump significantly underperformed his polls. So it could very well be that Trump ends up second to Rubio in NH especially if Cruz does well. He doesn't need to go down the full 20 points, only by 8-10, and all Rubio has to is pull up by 6-8. The debate could seal the deal.

250,000 people attended Trump rallies in Iowa yet he didn't even win 50,000 votes. Rally attendance simply is not an indicator of either support or mobilization and this does explain the low energy in the crowds. If anything he might have turned off voters with some of his rambling performance.

I'm actually a Trumpfag by the way, just not as optimistic as I was.
>>
>>62830943
I think it's the fact everyone made Trump and himself included think he was unstoppable and now that he came second it's being used against him.

No ground game and they've said that Trump is appealing to voters who don't typically vote.

Rallies and polls are great but if you don't have an effective get out the vote game it doesn't mean quite as much. We will see what happens in New Hampshire.

The only reason Dolan surged so much in the polls is because of all the useless faggots who don't quit leeching the race.

Imagine an Iowa caucus where Carson, Rand Paul, Bush and Kasich dropped because what the fuck son. Most of their votes would go to Cruz and Rubio and Trump would stump himself to a disastrous defeat in third place.

Same with all the other states, including New Hampshire. The moment moderate conservatives who endorse/vote for Kasich/Christie/Bush move over to Rubio and Donald loses a part of the votes to Cruz, the state is won by Rubio. Why do you think establishment cuckservatives tried to attack him so much? Because they know it's either him or Cruz at the end, and they wanted to be in his shoes.

This was bound to happen to be honest. It was clear for most people that Trump was not likely to get a landslide victory, or even to win in all states.. His supporters for a significant part are not registered voters or members of parties either, right?
>>
>>62833604
But Trump won evangelicals in the state by a good margin, the opposite of what was predicted. Trump was doing well with evangelicals nationwide but he was losing them to Cruz in Iowa, yet he won them during the caucus but lost the other conservatives to Cruz, and lost the moderates to Rubio.

Nothing went according to any sort of informed prediction.

A Trump win in Iowa was always pretty far fetched. The republican primaries in there are always about Jesus, and that is basically it. They're willing to vote for Cruz because he talks like a preacher, despite taking money from big oil. They're basically the most religious state, and overall their votes are ultimately meaningless, aside from being a bragging point for whatever candidate wins it.

Regardless, I'm just annoyed that the next primary won't be for a week. We'll have to listen to "HAHA TRUMP BTFO (for getting 1 less delegate) CRUZ MISSILE" for 7 days, before Trump wins NH and shit is back to normal.

I will wipe you the heck out with energy the likes of which has never been seen before on this panel, mark my gosh-darn words. You think you can get away with saying that stuff to me over the twitter? Think again, jerk. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of illegal mexicans across the USA and your voters are being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, buddy. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your presidential bid. You’re really beat, friend. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can make guacamole in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my molcajete. Not only am I extensively trained in authentic mexican cuisine, but I have access to the entire bank account of the 'Right to Rise' Super Pac and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable presidential bid off the face of the continent, you little meanie. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” tweet was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your flipping fingers. No. Actually, it's to make obviously false sources that claim "Donald Trump said _______" and get the media to report it as fact and then get BTFO.

Only problem is duping the media but not those who will hear of it, and not getting sued by Trump for slander.

Basically the idea is to discredit misrepresentations of him without directly addressing them because nobody listens that way and he avoids doing it for a reason.

Trump wasn't truly winning on most polls. He was in the margin of error to be second place.

Obviously, Cruz did better than his polling says, but he also lied about Carson dropping out (who got like ~10% of the vote),

Things were much closer in Iowa, and Cruz was actually leading there until pretty recently. Iowa might have set a precedent of Trump under performing compared to his poll numbers, but he might do better in states where it's a purely secret ballot and you don't have to stand up and announce yourself as a Trump supporter to all of your neighbors like in Iowa.

Iowa was never really fertile ground for Trump to begin with, I was pretty surprised he ever took the lead in the polls there, the most evangelical candidate always wins there.

The reason Iowa is so bad at predicting GOP winners is because they just vote for whoever is the most religious.

If Hillary wins, there will never be another Republican, hell maybe there will never be a white male in the White House again. And this is one of the most significant elections of our lifetime because the President will have the opportunity to appoint two or more Supreme Court Justices in the party checkmate. There is nothing you can do once that happens because they will ALWAYS vote along party lines. Republican appointed justices don't vote along party lines but Democratic appointed judges do 95% of the time.

And given that this presidency will run to 2020, whites will become a smaller and smaller part of the country. Then they'll have to cater to Spanish people. No matter how you slice it, this is the make or break moment for Republicans.

Perhaps... But that doesn't stop the Republican candidates from trying to slaughter each other to get elected.. So heavily so that I can see them doing serious political damage to each other or even the party as a whole..

Though I suppose the same applies to the Democratic race, so that sort of evens the playing field..

>But it's true, both parties would better split into 4, but that won't happen.

Multi party systems aren't anything too, to be honest.. But then at least you see politicians of DIFFERENT parties trying to slaughter each other, instead of this attempted fratricide that seems to be traditional in the US.. Results can be shit though. We currently have a Labour & Liberal right coalition, because all the Labour haters voted Liberal and all the Liberal haters voted Labour (on top of some normal supporters). People generally voted to keep the other party from getting in the government, and now they're BOTH in there in a coalition because the distribution of votes made another coalition all but impossible.

Have to put up a fight for their Super Pacs, only reason Yeb is still sticking is he has 100 Million to blow and has to show results at some point.

Just a quick google article, you can probably get more through googling on your own.

>Fair enough policy to be honest. Maybe Trump should have tried that as well..
Nah, it was a safer bet to run as not a Democrat this time around. I know this is Garrison, but the bottom panel is pretty accurate.

>was he the first with a full-on social media offensive?
Pretty much, his staff and supporters were all over facebook and reddit. He had an incredibly high percentage of young voters, who he reached via social media.

I just spoke to my mother on the phone, and she's always been a very reliable barometer for what the average Republican is thinking.

On Trump
>"He did pretty good I thought. Iowa wasn't going to like a New Yorker."
On Cruz
>"I just can't stand him when he talks."
On Rubio
>"I didn't know people liked him so much. Doesn't he remind you of Obama?"
On Carson after I told her about the Cruz lies
>"Oh that's a shame, I think he's nice, but he was probably going to be 4th anyway right?"
On everybody else
>"Sometimes I think people run for president just so they can sell books or be TV hosts"

Love ya mom. MAGA

As a grief counselor, you clearly have an education, and likely an extensive network of peers in similar fields.
