Ban on anything with a reciprocating bolt handle, or that looks scary is soon to be on that list: http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/rcmp-rifle-upgrades-semi-automatic-1.3400423

Best of:
>illegally altering magazine clips to allow for rapid continuous fire
>Some rifles could be banned
>Liberal government has promised to "put decision-making about weapons restrictions back into the hands of police, not politicians," raising the possibility the RCMP may yet be able to get some semi-automatics taken off the market.
>Liberals' election commitments is to broaden membership of the firearms committee to include representatives of women's groups and public-health advocates.
>"The materials required for improvised full automatic fire are ordinary everyday products."

They're literally going to ban everything because of the piece of string modification, or because it's "designed for military".

Trudeau is prepping to repeal:
>C-377 = forces unions to have open books/show how they spend money
>C-525 = gives workers the right to secret ballot to certify or decertify a union
>First Nations Financial Accountability Act = which forces first nations band councils/reserves to have open books and show band members/the public how federal/provincial money is spent

So basically he's fucking the union workers over, setting up easy corruption paths and repealing the only thing that stops native chiefs from hoarding the money for their family (which we have found they do in the past).

He is setting to repeal ALL legislation unilaterally imposed by the Harper government. the First Nations Financial Accountability Act is simply one example.

Note:

"In its current form, C-377 places onerous financial reporting requirements on unions. For example, the law forces unions to disclose “detailed financial information as well as information on political, lobbying and other non-labour relations activities” to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). The CRA would then make the information public.

“The Government of Canada has indicated its intent to repeal Bill C-377. As a result, this waiver ensures that unions and other stakeholders affected by the Bill will not be required to develop and submit detailed tracking of their activities to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for these fiscal periods"

He's going to need some spare cash for all the fucking "refugees" his stupid fucking party is planning on bringing in...

>25,000 'refugees' has now become 50,000 ala Merkel-style
The estimated cost was $1.2BILLION for the 25,000....

Mark my words, the cost will be well over $100BILLION - How do I know this? Well, just look at the Liberal Parties past initiatives...

eg: The "Long Gun Registry" (LGR)

>It was introduced by the Liberal government of Prime Minister Jean Chrétien in 1993 and implemented by successive Justice Ministers Allan Rock and Anne McLellan.

The net annual operating cost of the program, was originally estimated to be $2 million.

>In February 2004, documents obtained by Zone Libre of Télévision de Radio-Canada suggested that the gun registry has cost around $2 billion so far.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Firearms_Registry

They underestimated the cost by 100 times.

(Should have cost $22 million over 11 years, instead cost $2 billion)

So if it's anything like that with these "refugees" we're sending text messages to via cell-phone to get them here... That $1.2BILLION will end up being over $100BILLION. (not to mention that $1.2 estimate is only for 25,000, not the 50,000 that is the new number for 2016)

>For example, they are already on schedule to spend $80million just on their hotel bills from December to March.... that's already 40% of their estimated yearly budget already spent, in less than 1/3rd of a year

Gun crimes and crime in general is at it's lowest it's been in 50 years (back to 1965~ levels).

There is no logical reason to start going after law abiding citizens guns right now... There is just an agenda taking place, which is the cause for it.

REasoning: Right now, homicides with guns is around less than 600 people per year (most always committed with an illegal gun, anyhow)
within a population sample size of 35,000,000 citizens.

35000000/600 = 58333.33

Literally you have a 1 in 58333 chance of dying by a gun in Canada right now

0.00001714295 % odds that you'll die by a gun here. Now tell how can they say they are doing this for safety... (reminder, it's mostly gang related & over 90% of the time an illegal gun is used, more laws will not change anything)

There is clearly an ulterior motive at play here - It's a plain and clear gun grab.

I had another /pol/ was right again moment today, here it is for you all to enjoy:

"Members of the same team that got Senator Barack Obama elected and left the mighty USA in a gutter of despair are running Canada’s Liberal contender for prime minister—poised to win the 2015 federal election.

>Obama’s former economic czar Larry Summers, media described as “now the intellectual guiding light for Mr. Trudeau and his key advisors” was the top speaker at Thursday’s opening night at the Canadian Liberal convention.

“The Liberal camp appears to have bought into Mr. Summers views on “secular stagnation”—the idea that Japanese style economic torpor is the new normal in North America.” (National Post, Feb. 21, 2014)

Trudeau was already a Summers puppet before delivering his well-touted, email to -”Friend “important message for all Canadians” at the convention parroting the fallacy that the $250-billion Canadian budget would “take care of itself”.

>Floundering America bought hook, line and sinker into Summers’ economic policies pushed by Obama. A former chief economist to the ever-encroaching World Bank, Summers is an ex-Secretary of the Treasury and has been an economic advisor to two Democratic presidents, Clinton and Obama.

The Summers’ grass did not just grow on the get-me-elected-at-any-price Justin Trudeau. It grew on failed Summers-groomed Liberal Prime Minister candidate Michael Ignatieff back in 2012."

tl:dr; le weedmans top jewish advisor is the same one used by obama

50,000 is misleading.
Even calling them families is misleading.

Families is a bit misleading.

Under the Immigration and Refugee protection Act a refugee aged at least 18 years old may sponsor:
>spouse, partner or conjugal partner over 16
>parents
>grandparents
>dependant child of the sponsor
>child intended to be adopted
>orphaned brothers, sisters, nieces or grandchildren under 18 who are unmarried or not living in a common-law relationship
A dependant may be over 18 if "disabled". Keep in mind that is a very blanket term.

So actually we are getting far more than 50,000 refugees because of how we do family reunification. And it will be an absolute nightmare to vet as we have no real way to confirm or deny relationships/disabilities etc.

So yes, we are getting tons of 20 year old guys.

Also from Peterborough. How's it going bud? Go to Trent or Fleming or just a local?

I'm a gun owner. Handguns can be purchased if you get a Restricted level PAL license which isn't that difficult but the processing time can sometimes be a cunt.

Owning a handgun means you have to register it and can only use it at approved ranges. You can't go innawoods with it on crown, you can't do anything.

Non-restricted longrifles and shotguns can be used on crown land all you want however.

For those who care:

>Refugees get $61 per day for food
>This is $854 every 2 weeks for food alone
>Minimum wage in BC is $10.45 per hour
>If you work full time (30 hours) for 2 weeks you only get $627
>Refugee gets $197 more than a minimum wage full time worker gets in gross pay
>federal income tax rate is 15%
>provincial income tax rate for that paygrade is 5.06%
>so the worker loses another ~$135
>realistically that min wage full time worker is only getting $521 per two weeks out of which food/clothes/transport/rent etc. all must come out of
>refugee gets $333 more than their entire income for food alone
>refugee has housing covered

Its pretty retarded. The amount they get for food alone is roughly the same as a worker would make if they worked 30 hours a week at $18 an hour (which nets $858 per two weeks after taxes for food/clothes/rent etc.).

Based Harper made it defacto legal here. You can just get a medical card and start blazing that shit, or you can get it just about anywhere here.

It is so low priority on the polices' list of things to go after, that they won't even bother to write a ticket most of the time, they'd just take it and tell you to stop being an idiot.

Sorry a little rusty since I looked this up a few years ago before I was deemed ineligible for a PAL.
>>
>>61148781

'lo. I'm actually in Bobcaygeon, just mentioned Peterborough because I thought no one would know it. I went to Trent, though.

Any idea where I can take courses/use ranges around here?

And also a silly question, but I'm not sure: do you need a license to own a longrifle or shotgun?
>>
>>61148781
>Non-restricted longrifles and shotguns can be used on crown land all you want however.

Unless a conservation officer comes along to charge you with poaching.
>>
>>61148960
You need a PAL.
>>
>>61148815
>>61148619

PAL (restricted pal) AND member of a gun club unless you get a collectors status, and thats literally pointless to get.

Get both restricted+non restricted PAL at same time, will save you a bit of cash.

Yeah you need a non-restricted pal for most long rifles and shotguns but some are restricted. In all honesty a full restricted isn't much more work than a regular PAL but I don't see a point in owning restricted guns.

As for where you can get the testing done. You need to do the Hunters Education Course which is a 2 evening deal with a written and practical test at the end and it's very easy to pass. After that you send the forms to the RCMP and wait months for your license in the mail.

It's not difficult at all. I got my testing done in Alberta for free so I'm not sure where to go locally but I think the Feds have a list of licensed instructors.
>>
>>61148987
That's why you get a small game license or just carry targets with you. I have only ever had one run in with the MNR and he didn't give a shit since I had both of those.

The Conservation Officer threat is crazy overblown as long as you are not retarded. That being said I go to crown a long ways off the grid most times anyway.

Interesting. Thanks guys. Any opinions about the legality of home defense in this country? /k/ told me the situation is not great, but if you have to do it, it's better to do it with a shotgun.

Hate to be a huge faggot, but if anyone wants to add me on Steam, http://steamcommunity.com/id/enoughtoeatathome Mayor for Life Ford

Hahah what the fuck is going on over there?

Mate just try and hang in a little longer until Sweden and Germoney collapse and we should hopefully wake up.
>>
>>61149395
I'll shoot you a steam invite.

Home defense is really fucky in this country. When you apply for your license never say that's why you want a gun since that's grounds for denial.

You need to prove in court that the level of violence used was appropriate. Sadly most judges agree that you should run away when possible. If they had a gun and blocked all your exists you might get away with it.

Better charged than dead though imo
>>
>>61149395
Equal force

eg. guy comes at you with baseball bat, you can only match his baseball bat.

There was a dude in NB who got tired of his car getting broken into;

he waited one night with a shotgun (UNLOADED) and held the fucker up who was breaking into his car.

called the cops, and he was also arrested, guns / license taken for over a year or two, until it went to courts and he eventually won his shit back.

Fuck this country for self defence
>>
>>61149483
also, last government said that you do not have a duty to retreat from your own home.

How this will apply to gun cases I dont know
>>
>>61148886

Hmmmmm gov might have said that but was it a court ruling?
>>
>>61149654

Not sure; but its common sense you shouldnt have to fucking retreat if you're in your own house. self defense is a natural right
>>
>>61149499

So stupid and typical of law in this country. How are you supposed to know what someone who breaks into your house is armed with?

Pretty ballsy to take on someone with an unloaded weapon though

As far as I know we don't have castle doctrine in this country. I'm not sure what the justice system expects in this country, do they want us to train the whole family to all be able to jump out the window without defending ourselves?
>>

Yes

Unless you are being an obvious dumbass, no.

There are only 60,000 police for a population of 35,000,0000. They are rather busy with non-weed related items
>>
>>61150211
We also don't have right to legal counsel either.....

I'm honestly a bit uneducated about legal shit but those two things sounds pretty damn important to not have.
