Americans who have german ancestry are the biggest demograph in the US as shown by studies, they are more than double the population of those who identify as Americans with predom English ancestry. How did so many German migrants become cucked by inferior English culture. If Germans maintained their alpha Prussian German culture and with marriage, spreaded German cultural hegemony in the US, America could have been alliies with Germany in both world wars.
Why did the German language mostly die out? Societal pressure resulting from the USA siding against Germany in both World Wars.
I grew up in a small German town in the midwest and have noticed the local language slowly die over the past few decades. Most restaurants and shops in town had German names in the 80's and 90's, but they slowly went away.
The German migrants were just migrants. In that era of time, it was England that had any type trade that was remotely a company or industry. Since they were pretty much funding everything significant in the new colonies, English became the dominant language.
The advantages of every breed, the disadvantages of none.
The Next Phase of Human Evolution.
Because after WWI there was a wave of German hate in the US.
It used to be very common for german-american families to teach their young German. Some still do, mostly up north though. My grandparents were the last generation in my family to learn it.
Its inferior when compared to Prussian culture. Id agree that English cultire is superior to all other cultures, but Prussia is fukn based. Im probably biased because i have German ancestry
>USA was fervidly isolationist until WWI.
>"Commerce with all, alliance with none." -- Thomas Jefferson
>"Stay the FUCK out of entangling alliances." -- Every Founder
>Dragged into WWI by Lusitania false flag
>Becomes World Police(TM) forever after
Kind of where everything went down the shitter with regard to America staying true to its principles.
>in 2000 years American will be considered a distinct race
>exponential cultural evolution and genetic engineering/homogenization
i want to know what its like to be a future american
Swallow your bitterness and think about it for a second. If German culture was more promoted in the US, Americans will be more sympathetic to Germany. It would only benefit you.
Yeah, the founding father certainly knew their shit. Meddling within other countries has only hurt America in the long run.
If Theodore and Wilson didn't cockride British Cock so much there would be no Israel, merchant
I comsider the founding fathers as some of the greatest men of the 1st millenia (1000 -1999Ad). If America had different founding fathers, the US would be a different place I think.
>tfw NW Yurop mystery meat with zero Kraut ancestors.
Meh..America in the 20th century stopped following their founding fathers principles and then sold out to the international Jew unfortunately. You guys are probably worse than canada. Im sure the founding fathers are rolling in their graves for what has become of America today.
>Why the fuk isnt the US a German speaking country?
because americans are too fucking stupid and lazy to learn another language. they'd rather watch football or shitpost on the internet then actually do something with their lives.
source: personal experince as an american.
Just like 1st and 2nd red scares killed socialism in USA the 1st and 2nd German Scares killed German language and culture in USA. Hell the German scare in UK was so hard their royal family changed name.
>The Muhlenberg legend is an urban legend in the United States and Germany. According to the legend, the single vote of Frederick Muhlenberg, the first ever Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, prevented German from becoming an official language of the United States.
The Americas will be all Germanic in 100 years especially if the browns keep killing each other. Germany will be Arab and black.
I'm not entirely sure why so many posters from Germany are so touchy about Americans with German roots. It must be a Turkish/Russian thing because they feel insecure, especially these days.
There is a small town near me in the upper Midwest that has a really German name, and most of the residents speak German. The town even has a German newspaper. So, it's not dead just yet.
IIRC, it was about new German immigrants asking some law to be translated into German so they would have easier time reading/following it
Anglos being pissed at the thought of someone speaking a foreign language, decided that there would be no such exemption, refusing German language any special treatment/rights.
It was not about making German the official language, because there has never been any official language.
Just think, why would a hundred guys speaking the same language sitting in the same room have to come up with a law stating they are all going to speak the same language?
Nowhere near the list of important stuff to legislate.
This "vote" is blown out of proportion, and a legend.
So why did Americans forget their glorious Russian roots?
It was for a while. German was the Spanish of the 1700s/1800s but they learned to integrate.
If you want to see a nice area with extremely strong German roots, visit York County PA. Don't go to the actual city of York though.
It was inevitable. The institutions created by the founding fathers allowed for the accumulation of the greatest degree of wealth, freedom, and prosperity in the world. The parasites were bound to corrupt it by any means possible.
a) Heritage is self identified and many people do not list English even though English people likely make up the largest portion for their ancestry, see: English Americans in the 1980 census
b) English isn't the only ancestry that speaks the English Language. English, Irish, Scottish and American (Which demographers consider to be of Anglo descent that has lived in North America for a very long time), which can be referred to Anglo-Celtic, make up ~40% of the US population; far, far larger than German
c) The United States was founded out of English colonies by people who considered themselves English and spoke English.
That's why they don't speak German.
Multiethnic, maybe, but certainly not multicultural. Being "American" was what drew scores of motivated immigrants to this nation, including my grandmother 50 years ago. She was a Colombian Latina mutt, and in her day they wanted to be American so bad she would refuse to go outdoors when she didn't need to to avoid tanning and appear more "white." She also refused to teach my mother Spanish - until they went to visit family - and uses the language as little as possible. All she wanted was to be American, and she came here legally, married a Korean War veteran/engineer, and made an American life for herself with him.
Guess who? :D
It was me! I'm glad we wiped out the German launguage in America.
Act Anglo or get out. Even the best of the non Anglos should be killed.
Not true tho.
When Germans first came here they were disliked because they adhered to their own social structure and preferred German instead of English, eventually they assimilated.
Spics assimilate in a couple of generations too.
Only group that seems to refuse to assimilate is blacks.
Just wondering because I've been to their annual "Schmeckfest" before and they make some awesome fucking kuchen.
>The town of Eureka, South Dakota, became very important, where thousands of German-Russian immigrants arrived by train from New York City. The Agricultural Experiment Station publication at South Dakota State University states: "For 15 years, from 1887 to 1902, this `end of the track' town was the largest primary wheat market in the world, claim historians. In 1897 alone, two thirds of the world's wheat crop entering the commercial market was shipped from Eureka."
>"Picture over 165 trains of 20 cars each being loaded at one small town. That number of boxcars was needed in Eureka during the $2 million wheat-shipping year of 1892. The wheat bonanza was created by several factors: the end-of-track location for 15 years, the richness of the new land, and the hard work of the German-Russian farmers settling the prairie."
>Like many south-central North Dakota families, my Baumgartner and Miller families arrived in Eureka in the late 1880s and trekked by foot with their wagons to homestead on virgin land near Strasburg, North Dakota.
>By 1920, it was estimated that 116,539 German-Russians were in the United States. The largest concentration was in North Dakota, where some 70,000 lived in 1920, coming from the Black Sea region. German-Russians heavily populated central North Dakota. Many families in Pierce and Towner counties of north-central North Dakota again resettled in Saskatchewan, Canada, due to lack of farmland.
What do you expect from a genetic group of people who only entered civilisation a few hundred year ago who still expect to be eaten by a lion in their genetic instinct.
Like the wolfs man domesticated and pet dogs the size of handbags. They didn't become puppy dogs overnight
Continuing on this, I think the without blacks the US would be much more successful of a multiracial society.
95% of the time you hear about racial conflict it's blacks vs. some other race(whites, hispanics, koreans, etc).
The US legal immigrant vetting process is actually quite effective and it's kept most of the trash out.
East Asian, Indian, and Iranian immigrants are usually alright and have contributed a lot to the country(research, entrepreneurial, etc). Generally get along with whites.
Hispanics are basically today's Polish immigrants - they work menial jobs and no speak english but in a couple of generations they'll be pretty much like anyone else.
There are some good blacks but by and large they just waste carbon atoms and cause problems.
It ticks me off how the 14/88 types respond to black racial chimpouts by overdoing it and saying shit like how we need a white ethnostate, when the only problem is with blacks. The other groups dindu nuffin wrong.
The US would be great as just a country of Eurasians.
This. A big part of being American used to be assimilating into the pre-existing culture, but that's been falling by the wayside over the past couple decades. Possibly part of why there are more racial tensions etc now, people are going out of their way to stay different.
>The US would be great as just a country of Eurasians.
