Let's take a look at the New York Times' "fact checking" of the GOP debate, beginning with their "fact checking" of Rubio's statement.
According to the Wiktionary, "Genocide is the intent to systematically eliminate a racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, cultural or national group."
According to Wikipedia, IS has killed "of at least 5,000 Yazidi civilians" purely for their ethno-religious group, and raped and enslaved even more.
This "fact checking" is a blatant LIE.
Here's their "fact checking" of a Trump statement. They admit that it's true, but attempt to downplay it by saying that it's somehow good for millions of people to lose their jobs, since they're "able to find jobs in other industries". What a great opportunity, losing your livelihood.
According to IS, Yazidis are pagans, and according to their interpretation of the Quran, all pagans deserve death.
>Under Islamic Law as observed by ISIL, Yazidis are officially given the choice to convert to Sunni Islam or die. They are not eligible for the jizya tax taken from "People of the Book" by ISIL that would allow them to continue observing their religion.
Here's their "fact checking" of a Christie statement. He did not imply that Hillary said so after the use of chemical weapons. But they deliberately pretend not to know that to make him sound stupid.
This can't even be called fact checking. It's nitpicking of a comical level. If they devoted as much time deconstructing every Democrat's statement, they wouldn't have time to eat.
This is not fact checking, but disagreeing with an opinion.
People do not understand there will ALWAYS be people who work the "ditch digging" jobs. They have no motivation to do anything else, when they lack these no skill jobs they can only receive welfare or turn to crime. Usually both. These people do not magically try to succeed when they lack their job opportunities.
Trump said his attorneys said "Ted is in fine shape", and Cruz said the attorneys said "there was no issue". According to the New York Times, those statements are not synonymous, and Cruz was making is own conclusion. Once again, they're purposefully playing dumb.
I agree man. Leftists think everyone can become a college-educated white collar hipster like them, which is just not true.
According to the New York Times, homicide statistics from 2015 are outdated. I guarantee you that if Obama had quoted that same figure and used it to justify gun control, their lips wouldn't open to give criticism, but to give praise.
Well, I'm done. The rest of them are mostly bad. It's sad that people will skim past these and think the NYT is actually fact checking, and not blatantly lying and distorting.
pretty good collection OP. i suggest you save all this and add to it and post again when the east coast is awake. i think most people here watched the debates and went right to bed.
