But take the Leopard 2 tank. I hear it's extremely intuitive to drive. Swapping out an entire power-pack takes an hour. It's the sort of tank that could stay in action longer than most because repairing it is so easy. That takes a lot of ingenuity to accomplish.

I also really like German naval vessels. The use of off the shelf weaponry like Oto Melara 76mm guns, multiple Rolling Airframe Missile launchers, and the Rheinmetall Oerlikon Millennium Gun just makes sense and likely keeps the cost down as most of those systems are bolt-on and require very little system integration.
