As a Swede, knowing my country´s history and current state, I am always on the lookout for those early signs of unhinged liberalism/socialism when following politics in other western countries.

I am worried about Canada having an actual SJW as prime minister in Justin Trudeau. Can you who are versed in Canadian politics, Canadian or not, tell me how much damage you think he will do? How much does Trudeau have to adjust to the will of the people and of other political parties when forming his policies?

Has he expressed any long term goals for Canada? I know he wanted to accept Syrian refugees. What do you think the future looks like with Justin Trudeau as prime minister?
>>

Being a Swede I am ofc well trained in spotting a traitor by now.

I would rate him Fridolin/10 on the cuckscale Rip Canada.

If Trump gets elected it will be an absolute disaster. There will be mass protests in the streets here, all of which will be supported by our glorious PM. He already made Trump and enemy. If Trump wins he will make sure we get robbed even harder by the US and the rest of the world. Poverty for the working class awaits. Welfare shits will be just fine though.
>>
Here's a good non-partisan site for tracking Trudeau's tenure: https://www.trudeaumetre.ca/

In Canada, what's most significant is that Trudeau has a majority government. That means his party can pass laws even if they are opposed by every other Canadian political party. He's going to have a lot of power as a policy maker.

However, even going back to his campaign, Trudeau has done a lot of doublespeak. He doesn't always say what he means. He's openly admitted to voting in favour of a bill he opposed because he didn't want attack ads to exploit him for being "soft on terrorism." One thing he knows how to do is stay popular.

Do all the Liberal MPs support his far-left ideology? They will claim to but whether they actually do is another question entirely. The liberals are supposed to be Canada's centrist party, so elected MPs who are even older than Justin won't necessarily support everything he wants to do, and that will be reflected in legislation. All Liberals need to vote in favour of a bill for it to pass, at the very least. He's not going to piss off his party that much.

That's why you see very very gradual changes in his party's policy. Instead of income tax reform, he just marginally increases the amount of income tax payable by high-income-earners. Instead of putting a pot leaf on the flag, he's going to gradually pass a series of bills that makes the maple leaf look slightly more cannabis-shaped. And so on.
>>
>>60036891
Trudeau knows that Trump will never be president because he knows how elections work. He's just enjoying the shit show in the meantime.

>made him an enemy

Politicians say things like this about each other all the time. It's not interesting or groundbreaking that Trudeau made a passive aggressive remark about how he doesn't support Trump, particularly when they are on opposite sides of the political spectrum.

Don't you remember all the really nasty things Trudeau said about Stephen Harper? And then how he smoothed things out during his speech on election day by thanking Harper for serving Canada?

Politicians aren't as thin-skinned as you think. They're used to talking smack about each other. This crosses borders. In the unlikely event Trump gets elected, expect lots of press photos of him and Trudeau shaking hands and smiling, or of Trump manspreading beside Trudeau who has his dainty little legs closed.

People with a conservative streak who are critical of immigration from third world countries and liberalism need to watch out and worry for each other. A basic level of support is essential.

Meh

He's shit, but we'll never have mass rape like Sweden or Germany, because we have functioning borders and an actual screening process.

If Trump wins I fully intend to move south.
>>
>>60037875
The opposition's power is more symbolic than anything else. But during debate periods they will rise and address the topic of bills that are being tabled. Individual members of parliament are supposed to represent the views of their constituents (the people in their riding). So for instance, my MP is a conservative, and he's supposed to be representing the values of the people in my riding when he votes on bills.

Still, in actual practice it's pretty unrealistic to think that any bill proposed by the liberals is going to fail at this point. They're going to reform what the want to. The major check on their power is that if they are too radical, they're going to lose a lot of their centrist support base.
>>
>>60037982
>He's shit, but we'll never have mass rape like Sweden or Germany, because we have functioning borders and an actual screening process.
I think the fact that crossing an ocean is harder than crossing a sea has more to do with this than the screening process
>>
>>60037806
The Conservatives were in power for 9 years, which is a pretty long time for any party. It was bound to happen at some point.

Unfortunately, the other options this time were particularly shit.
>>
Harper was guilty of plenty of leftist and globalist policies. Trudeau should be a good thing long term as he will accelerate the demographic disaster Harper and those before him have presided over. Better it happen as a shock so people can react instead of a slow death spiral that goes unnoticed until it is too late.
>>
>>60037982

Sweden once had functioning borders too. But yes I agree with you, I think it is hard for a country to become a new Sweden in this day and age. There are too many bad examples of what our kind of immigration leads too.

>>

>>
>>60038201
Yea the natural borders are a saviour.

But also a majority of Canadians didn't want to increase "refugee" intake when Trudeau started doing it, which speaks to a gap in public opinion between Canada and Europe.

If a majority of Canadians already reject his plan, then he knows he'd better make sure that the migrants don't start attacking people when they arrive.
>>
>>60038718
What do you mean?
>>
>>60039110
I mean they're the only party worth voting for, and they are a good alternative to the Liberals, but nobody votes for them because of how shitty the electoral system is.
>>
>>60038630
Good point. Everyone in the West tends to feel immune until the raping and murdering starts happening to them.

We need to be constantly vigilant and point out the price of multiculturalism whenever we can.
>>
>>60035887
His personal extremism has been tempered by whoever it is that's really running things behind the scenes. He's an empty figurehead. He is useful at drumming up popular opinion for vague issues, but his hardline progressive stance has already been tempered on things like marijuana legalization and the disarmament of the Canadian defense sector.

If he ends up managing to reinforce popular demand for social programs and ends up spending like crazy as he seems he will, he will be very bad. He seems to be very much in bed with the Ontario provincial Liberal government, who are notorious for corruption and overspending. If the federal government adheres to that model, they will lose a great deal of investment in the country, discourage development projects and business ventures, and lower the credit rating of the country. Tertiary education will become even more watered down than it already is; the job market will be flooded by a multitude of new graduates with little qualifications.

I don't see any possible upside to Trudeau, but I see plenty of downsides. I believe the left-wing wealthy insulated people in Ottawa and Toronto who Trudeau is surrounded by will be too insulated to be aware of how bad things are becoming until it's too late. The CBC will assure everyone that things are fine, and will keep pushing the perspective of that insulated upper class.

>YOU FUCKING DEFEATIST FAGGOT GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT

Yea, I would if there were likeminded people around me. There is absolutely NO rightwing movement gaining traction here (I'm in south Ontario) The only thing keeping Canada afloat is immigration of rich foreigners. I used to think that Canada would be like a sort of safe haven for the zionists to flee too when SHTF but now I'm starting to wonder.

The only decent conservative media outlet here is fucking RebelMedia and they are Jews so that might as well go in the trash too.

>>
>>60039443
>I don't see any possible upside to Trudeau

This is a pretty broad thing to say. You don't support any of their policies? What about electoral reform, or increasing the tax burden of high income earners?

But you're right that he's just a figurehead. Liberals needed someone who could actually win an election. Remember Michael Ignatieff?

Aren't the Greens basically just the Liberals with slightly more global warming hysteria? They want the same refugees and the same demographic replacement.

And May is really off-putting. Getting drunk at a public event and saying on-stage that Omar Khadr has more class than the entire cabinet? How cucked can a person be?

I like the Christian Heritage Party personally, but they didn't have a candidate in my riding. I'm considering trying to get work with them, although I know they're going nowhere under FPTP.

Like most middle-aged women in politics, she has no idea how humour works. The Omar Khadr remark was supposed to be a joke. Elizabeth May has the same crisis of unlikeability that Hillary Clinton is currently going through in the states. If she'd just shut up, stay sober, and continue being a voice of reason in debates, we'd like her a lot more.

She just needs a hug and an "it's ok" like you saw that woman trying to do when she was drunk on stage.

She believes some crazy shit though. Like she doesn't have wifi in her house because she's afraid of its potential environmental effects.

But of course, you have to look at the actual party platform. Their main principle is sustainability and conservation, and in that regard they are more conservative than the conservatives in a lot of ways. It's really hard to just put them on a political spectrum.

I don't believe that they're capable of efficiently or effectively implementing any real change without spending a great deal more fruitlessly. I'm sure I'm being reductive and am conflating them with the Ontario provincial Liberals. I think they're going to inflate the bureaucracy of the federal government without providing any benefit that outweighs the costs.

The housing market is severely screwed up too, and isn't getting any better. That should be a lot higher of a priority than identity politics and social issues, but the reliance on popular opinion will mean that non-priorities will get pushed to the top of the task list when allocating resources. I don't think they can afford to continue spending their way out of problems, but they don't have any other ideas about how to deal with things.
>>

>>
>Has he expressed any long term goals for Canada?
He's not capable of long term planning or abstract thinking. He's an ex substitute teacher. He's the Prime Minister because the idiots in Eastern Canada were voting as a statement against the incumbent government, because the Internet told them that Harper is the devil. The Liberals were winning, it doesn't matter who their leader was.

That's how Canadians vote most of the time: not for something, but against something.
>>
>>60040250
You have to at least commend them for being direct about what they're doing and not saying things like "create jobs" in reference to public sector bloat (like the NDP).

I'll admit I don't know a lot about Ontario provincial liberal politics so I can't really comment on how far you're stretching things. You may very well be right. I have similar feelings towards the NDP since I live in an NDP province.

One point to make clear about the majority government is that we have a Westminster-style parliament, which means that because of the whip of party discipline EVERY important vote breaks down along party lines. Members of Parliament (representatives) only vote individually when the party leader allows them, otherwise they vote Exactly as they are told to vote.

We also have a senate that reviews bills and can reject them if they so choose, but the senators are selected by the PM (though once appointed they can stay until age 75).
Right now there are more Conservative senators than Liberals + Independents, but there are enough vacancies that Trudeau could fill the senate with party 'yes men' to gain a Liberal majority in the senate.

Being leader of a majority government is as close to absolute power as you can get in Canadian politics. There is really no president with veto power - our head of state is the Queen of England, represented by the Governor General in Canada. The GG could veto a law under the constitution, but their position is essentially symbolic and they always sign every bill into law with no questions asked.
>>
>>60039688
>You don't support any of their policies? What about electoral reform, or increasing the tax burden of high income earners?

it is tradition in Canada that the electorate gets tired of every government and replaces them after ~10 years max. The Conservatives had been in power long enough that voters got tired of the bad things they did (they had their share of scandals like any government) and had forgotten about the bad things that the previous Liberal government had done.

Nice non-argument. Right now the Liberals have the power to do whatever they want. Meh, resources, so many monkeys, not enough bananas, Canada is one of the better countries to live in now. Trudeau can only do so much damage, he is only one man. The real worry is the men behind the curtains operating him like the man child hand puppet he is, and the fact Harper was half retired before handing it to him on a silver platter - the lawyer from France would have been worse. If his father was any indication, he will run up a massive national debt to the private banking sector that is already bathing in record profits approaching obscene while accomplishing not a lot. The dollar sinking a bit helps trade going out. for sure though, not much of a future to look forward to because the country was sold out to the globalists in the 70's and 80's like the USA.

You have to tailor your discussions depending on who you're talking to.

Example I have a friend who's gay. You discuss how intolerant western muslims are and question Trudeau's motivation to bring more of them in.

With an older person who worked hard their entire life, discuss why their ta dollars should now be being spent on other provinces or on "new Canadians" when they had to work all those years without handouts. Why do they need to be gouged for those who won't even integrate into society?

I've found if you really think about what matters to the people you talk to, you can start to open them up towards more conservative ideals and nationalism. Some people are very brain washed and I'm not sure how you can talk to them about anything (for example someone who has been successfully brainwashed through an arts degree).

Greetings, Sweden. I would like to thank you, as an ambassador to your nation, for providing Canada with such a strong example of a socially progressive state.

Before I continue, let me preface this post by informing you that the current year is now 2016. Canadians everywhere have just woken up from a 10 year long nightmare, and are still struggling to shake off that eerie feeling while the sun begins to rise and shine rays of light through the crenelations of our venetian blinds.

You see, for the first time in far too long Canadians are experiencing democracy – a popular movement in the past, and quite common around the world. Having just ousted our own incarnation of a fascist quasi-dictator, we understand what America faces with people like Donald Trump running for the Oval office. I think this is such a shame, in a time where North America is finally clawing its way out of a recession, a time where new Jurassic Park and Star Wars movies have been released, and Clinton’s and Bush’s are vying for the Presidency…I mean, c’mon, it feels like the 90’s are back! Twenty-sixteen style!

Speaking personally, I gained a lot of faith in Canada and our people in the 2015 election. When faced with divisive politics, fear-mongering and misinformation, we stood up and slapped that nonsense out of our government. Racist, fear-based politics clearly doesn’t fly in Canada, especially now in twenty-sixteen! We made a bold decision and chose a positive message. I've never been more proud of Canadians than I was after the election! We don't tolerate bigotry and racism here. We are proud multicultural people from every walk of life. After all, in the words of our prodigious Prime Minister Justin Trudeau "a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian. Sunny ways my friends, sunny ways".

>25,000 'refugees' has now become 50,000, ala Merkel-style
The estimated cost was $1.2BILLION for the 25,000.... Now that is at least doubled since the new amount for 2016 is 50,000 economic invaders

Mark my words, the cost will be well over $100BILLION - How do I know this? Well, just look at the Liberal Parties past initiatives...

eg: The "Long Gun Registry" (LGR)

>It was introduced by the Liberal government of Prime Minister Jean Chrétien in 1993 and implemented by successive Justice Ministers Allan Rock and Anne McLellan.

The net annual operating cost of the program, was originally estimated to be $2 million.

>In February 2004, documents obtained by Zone Libre of Télévision de Radio-Canada suggested that the gun registry has cost around $2 billion so far.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Firearms_Registry

They underestimated the cost by 100 times.

(Should have cost $22 million over 11 years, instead cost $2 billion)

So if it's anything like that with these "refugees" we're sending text messages to via cell-phone to get them here... That $1.2BILLION will end up being over $100BILLION. (not to mention that $1.2billion estimate is only for 25,000, not the 50,000 that is the new number for 2016)

>>One of his main advisers (Wynne) is responsible for defrauding citizens of over $37 BILLION

Here is the new Prime Minister pictured at a Pride Parade in Toronto, Ontario in 2013 - On his left, is a convicted pedophile named Ben Levin, who helped the woman on the right, create the highly controversial new 'sex education curriculum' for the province. This new curriculum teaches grade schoolers that there is 6 different genders, and all about anal and oral sex.... This teaching start at grade 1. (btw, the 6 genders are: male, female, transgendered, transsexual, two-spirited and inter-sexed)

This photo was taken 1 week before Mr. Levin was arrested and charged for crimes relating to pedophilia

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/child-sex-offender-ben-levin-said-himself-that-he-was-in-charge-of-crafting

>"On March 3, 2015, Levin pleaded guilty to three charges relating to making and distributing child pornography. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment."
>3 years
>Levin

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Levin_%28academic%29

The woman pictured on the right is Kathleen Wynne, the lesbian Liberal premiere of Ontario - She and her predecessor Dalton McGuinty managed to in the last 10 years, add ~$150 BILLION to the provinces debt. As a result of this reckless spending/stealing, the provinces' credit has been downgraded by S&P. To put this in perspective, Ontario is in more debt per capita than California, by a lot. (This province has nearly $300BILLION of debt)

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-07-20/ontario-more-indebted-than-california-ignores-s-p-in-borrowing

>"While Ontario’s population is about one third of California’s, its debt load is more than double that of the biggest U.S. state. Ontario forecasts that it will pay C$10.7 billion in interest on its debt in the 2014-2015 period, or about 8.2 percent of expenses, figures from the province show."

Justin is our usher for the end times, that is all.

the world is clearly not going down the drain fast enough for someone, so we are getting these psychotic movements, greater polarization in politics, religion and more warfare, and to top it off, these assclowns of politicians are coming to power.

Justin is just our guy to help flush the country down the toilet faster, he's not going to muck about and try to keep it going, fuck no, he is intent on spending money we don't have on things we don't need and doing it on an unprecedented scale for the country.

he will further help the proverbial slide off the cliff by fueling the tyranny of the minority in the country and empowering both, the most extreme most aggressive sjw/lgbqtwftbbq movements, while at the same time, flooding the country with muslims and making it a social taboo to criticize the religion of peace -- further empowering more extreme and radical elements of that religion, making them feel like they're at home here, protected by the establishment and growing their appetite for more. what is the end result of fueling such opposite forces within the society? you can answer that for yourself.

tl;dr: Justin is here to usher in the downfall and let Canada take its place in a crumbling world, to deal the final blows to our economy and to engulf the country in a fiery shitstorm, as western progressive degeneracy clashes with eastern religious barbarism.
>but look on the bright side, at least he will have us all doped up, so the whole thing is kind of being done under a kind of social anesthesia, might not even seem so bad

You nailed it Aussiebro - This video is relevant to both our countries:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NG0WcjGHkEw

This was predicted over 8 months before it occured - The 'Left' conspired to kicked Tony Abbott out via a party power grab there, & remove Harper here, both in time for the UN Paris Climate Summit. They needed Leftist-based parties in power when the vote was in December, to assure that the carbon-tax schemes and billions of dollars spent on 'green initiatives' would be passed.

Watch the video, it predicted what is happening now over 8 months before it happened. Spooky

If Quebec ever separated it would cause other separatist movements to form as well. Newfoundland used to be its own dominion, but I think they are far too cucked, like the other maritime provinces, to ever separate.

Alberta, Sask and BC I can see separating. If that ever happened Canada would cease to exist. Nothing would make me happier.
>>
>>60065521
It would be interesting to see separate parts of Canada survive on their own. With Alberta being shit without oil, it's probably already the case that every province is on their own.

Great, now they get to play politics with the data again. I was soo missing this
>Achieved Government Restore mandatory long-form census.
Cant wait to see if they will arrest me for real.
>Include an equal number of women and men in the Cabinet.
Equality of outcome is fucking stupid, pants-on-head retarded.
>Maintain participation in NATO Operations REASSURANCE (Eastern Europe) and UNIFIER (Ukraine).
yet he doesn't want to bomb ISIL, but this is ok apparently.
>Introduce a new tax bracket of 33% for individuals earning more than $200,000. Cut the middle income tax bracket to 20.5% (from 22%).
Im always down for taxe cuts, but just seems wrong when a spendocate does it.

fair enough, just that I think the le ebil Harber maymay on facebook that got budding sjws to actually go out and vote Justin in will be nothing compare to the organized meaning that liberal social media will offer to the lives of first year poli-sci students in USA.

The thing that yuros and even yanks really have to understand about Canada is that for us, multiculturalism is a symptom, whereas for you guys it's the disease.

When a Swede or a German takes multiculturalism and stabs his people in the gut with it, it's because they are deluded. They are sick. They can be cured either by taking the multiculturalism away from them, or teaching them why it is bad. This might be a painful or even impossible process, but it is at least imaginable. We are all waiting for the day when the average Swede and the average German gets the real shock he needs to wake up and reject the cucking of his country. The French are more candidly nationalistic, for various reasons (e.g. don't feel like they have to apologise for WW2), so they react more strongly; Poles are less deluded by Western laxity, so they react more strongly. Sweden and Germany may be far along the spectrum of the disease, but where there is a disease, regardless, one can always hope for a cure.

In Canada, multiculturalism is the symptom, and the disease is that we have no sense of what a Canadian is. You may think this is true of a Swede who says that Somalians are Swedish too, but he knows it isn't. Deep down, he knows. Generally, Canadians genuinely do not have that. Some will claim to on /pol/, but we are simply such a large, diffuse, divided, boring nation with so little pride in or sense of our own history (on average, mind you), that on some fundamental level we can't really disagree with multiculturalism. On that deep, interior level, a German sees a nigger in Berlin and forces himself to say "er ist Deutscher." In Canada, we see whole sections of our hometown filled with chinks, and fundamentally we think "meh, it wasn't that great to begin with." Our sense of identity is limp and shallow. Painting it shitskin brown doesn't hit most of us deep.

Remove the Trudeaus from Sweden, Sweden is saved. But Canada will keep producing Trudeaus, forever, until it fades away.

That is EXACTLY the situation Brazil is in. I mean, of course we are a lot poorer, a lot darker and a lot more mixed up racially, but the part where you say no one knows what a Canadian is is what Brazilians experience. We have no historic pride (with exception of the south), no ethnic consistency and the bonus of rampant corruption that everyone knows about but can't do anything.
