I listened to an interview with Burr where he talks about how the show is about his childhood growing up, which seemed alright.
I watched the six episode "season". It just seems....devoid of any kind of value whatsoever. I mean, I grew up like that. Is it really so different from today that it entertainment to watch it now?
>Awkward looking CG
>Shitty jigglebone/2D skeleton animation
Watched for a few seconds and pretty much stopped, it's pretty much everything I hate about modern animated shows
i went in not expecting much, and thats what it was.
<---------------------- i liked this show
Okay but like that robot is literally Jewish.
Lol. First thing I thought of desu. Guess I'm not the only autist here
>all the buttflustered millennials crying because it doesn't have 6 million flashback/cutaways ala the family jew
fuck off cunts, it's great. it's a cartoon sitcom in the king of the hill mould. adhd faggots stick to your macfarlane shit.
It was ok. Could be the next KOTH if they keep it going. Was pretty redpill show also. Bill Burr is pretty funny.
Of course it's not 3 minutes of some retard screaming while playing minecraft so no one under the age of 25 is going to like it though.
I'm gonna be that guy but this is obviously a /tv/ topic.
I liked the show a lot though.
>king of the hill
this nigger right here
I love Bill Burr but this show is pretty shit. The only funny bits are him ranting and the rest of the characters are filler.
If he livestreamed his reactions to sporting events it would be more entertaining than this show by a long shot without any hack writing required.
Fucking white people and your mutant cocks
just dont watch the first episode. i get the whole show is billy boy venting about his father but man the first episode is fuck awful. the rest are all right but nothing really hilarious or insightful.
First 2-3 episodes were kinda fucking mediocre. Then as it went on it actually started to develop into a consistent chain of events with actual character development.
I think people think its shit because of the first few episodes honestly. People went in expected shit to be set up already like most shitting modern shows but it wants you to stomach through the early stages of character development most people aren't used to in a cartoon.
>GF didn't like it
>I watched it and realised she couldn't relate because she didn't have a dad growing up
It's a good show and I hope for a second season.
Pretty much this. Story lines were pretty good, a call back to the old style "moral fiber" shows. Jokes were pretty alright, but its the first season so you can't expect perfection. The characters relatively forgettable and I wish they would show the redeeming qualities so you like them more, but they come into their own.
Koth is literally the best animated show tho, it's /pol/ the cartoon. Well that and Squidbillies.
It was rough at the start but the later episodes weren't bad. I think it could genuinely turn into something entertaining to watch.
It's no King of the Hill but it beats the shit out of the McFarlane spew.
I hope it picks up in season 2. It's definitely lazy but I'm hoping it's just them clearing their throats while they try to figure out who is going where and who is important. The whole business with his wife and the plastic ware was interesting, especially considering the ending.
It has interesting developments and it reminds me of the stories my mom told me about her childhood. I'm not sold on it as a comedy, but I like watching it as an exaggerated narrative about the 70s and what I'm assuming was Burr's choildhood.
>KoTH is trash
UK confirmed for trash taste in comedy, not that I'm surprised.
This. It definitely reminded me of King of the Hill as far as tone.
The Dad is such a fleshed out realistic character. The rest of the characters aren't quite as fleshed out but it worked for what it was.
My only major gripe was the gratuitous swearing. It felt like a crutch sometimes. Being crude for crude's sake isn't funny. When the dad character did it though, it was funny.
