Reddit isn't alone in participating with passive aggressive shadowbanning bullshit. I noticed after logging out with my Twitter account, and checking certain tweets I had replied to, my replies don't actually show up.

This is such a fucking insidious way of stifling dissent because there's no accountability. People don't realize their voices are being silenced so the streisand effect is partially defeated. It's the internet equivalent of putting a black bag over someone's head and simply making them disappear.

Stay safe out there, anons. Always doublecheck that your posts are actually showing up on reddit/twitter if you are trying to spread the word on there.

Shadowbanning is seriously terrifying to anyone who thinks about it because your average uneducated fuck is easily silenced (without even realizing he's BEEN silenced) by this tactic.

Shadowbanning can be partially subverted by conscientiousness on the part of our operatives (aka: check and see if your posts are showing up on a different IP & account), but it's still a completely fucked up tactic.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how to deal with this? In the short term we can just do what I said, but in the long term I think we're going to see more and more dissent getting quelled in this quieter way. We got lucky this time - Quinn and her thralls were very hamfisted in the way that they went about silencing dissent - but what if next time they just quietly shadowban all the participants?
