Anon, as somebody who has dealt with a lot of powders and pills let me tell you, no matter what the dose (even things that need 250mg+) that should be easy to weigh or even eye out end up overdosing people all the time. Sometimes it's because the actual quality of the product is much purer, so they get like 2-3x the dose they meant. Usually it's just because people are lazy and don't want to always weigh out a drug every-time they use it, or go through the work to pre-cap a bunch. That's not even getting into drugs like etizolam (which is a currently popular grey-area benzodiazepine easy to find in powder / pill form on the internet) or other benzos which can overdose you if you take 2-3mg too much (which will fit on a match head).

Having a large amount of any drug in a powder / crystal / etc. is a recipe for people overdosing.

Say for example this was etizolam. You mess up setting the scale and the weight is off. Instead of the 4mg you know you can tolerate, you get 12mg. But it's small and clumped up so you don't notice the size difference, and the scale reads accurate.
You take it and OD, then end up taking more.

This isn't even taking into the account that the vast majority of people will not use a scale to weigh their powder, or will use one that is not accurate enough.

It's hard to overdose on caffeine. The average person needs to consume over 500mg to overdose, and making a mistake between 200mg and 500mg would take a gigantic fuckup to manage. Even that is just the lower limit of overdosing, and won't kill you, but just make you feel really uncomfortable and jittery. Most would need 10g+ to actually die. And nobody is going to accidentally take 10g.

Your warning about benzos is completely valid though. I am actually scared to try those due to how sensitive they are.

Trying benzos in pill form is fine, with their pre-weighed doses. If you're worried you're sensitive to them you can have somebody (wife/girlfriend/roommate/parent/whatever) hold the bottle with instructions not to let you have more until the next day.
Benzos are very effective at treating some illnesses so if you really would benefit from it don't let the fear of an overdose stop you from trying it medicinally.
