We are not insane,we are just realistic. There are so many problems popping up and if you look at them they only get worse, nothing indicates that they are getting better.
The financial bubbles get bigger, the job situation gets worse (machinisation), they ties within the community get lose, the internet doesnt create knowledge but confusion, the debts get bigger and more ideologies pop up by the day.
The media isnt interested in the truth but eyeballs, they cater to anybody no matter how stupid and create controversion at the same time. Logic and truth became exchangeable things.
Survaillence becomes stronger and more sophisticated by the day and the difference between the power of the state and average joe gets bigger and bigger.
/pol/ is just some morbid fascination, like someone having his guts spilled out and touch them because they are so warm.

>>32195732
Not with that attitude.
And they DO exist, but since they, almost by definition, do not broadly and vulgarly advertise their presence, you have to seek them out.
AND you have to filter out distractions. You've probably passed your 'perfect woman' in the street, but your gaze was taken by the hoochie in the yoga pants or miniskirt with the cleavage. Which is not your fault, its natural attraction, but discipline is required if you're going to avoid the simple traps of cleavage and midriffs to find the women worth having.

If any collapse is to happen, it will likely be a societal collapse due to people's denial of themselves and denial of reality. Many will seek out their grand delusional fantasies in hopes of satisfying their soul, while causing malicious destruction in their path...but instead they will be lost in a maze full of mirrors, eternally chasing their own mind into a personal hell. Many will spend their lives unbalanced, greedy; wanting so heavily but so unwilling to give into or accept the great gifts the universe offers naturally. In doing of this many will blame the world, blame everyone but themselves... they will go insane, committing heinous actions against each other, all because they want something so bad and wanted it their way, no other way. Undisciplined, impatient, stubborn, closed minded, unfaithful, disbelief, yet so desperate to get what they want rather than find love in what is offered and build from that foundation.
As of now, there is no shortage of food, no shortage of education, no shortage of housing, electricity, internet or water... all things given, all possibilities open, free cars, free sex, free MATERIALS, Eventually free anything and everything...
The only thing there will be a shortage of is love and that is enough to bring death to human civilization.
After all, love is what built anything. If someone did not love, then they wouldn't have sacrificed their time and energy into perfecting their product, even for money.

>>32196340
This one hit home for me. My mother and father both trained as doctors, passed all their exams etc and became consultants (britfag btw). However, after having two children, my mother just quits. After all the work she put in, after all the work others put in for her so she could have that opportunity, she just quits. I'm glad she did, as there are now four more well educated white members of society, but it's made me think twice about wanting more women in high ranking jobs.
Additionally, she's recently started working again in a slightly more junior position, 3 days a week. And cries every day when she gets back and cries at the weekend, because she knows she has work next week. Meanwhile, my father leaves the house at 7am and doesn't get back till midnight every week night. He hasn't taken sick day in 20 years and never uses more than two weeks holiday a year, except when he got his leg torn open abroad by a dog. He just took another days holiday.

"Society expects them" still really sticks the blame on them. They chose to conform to societal expectations.
That was more a side point to the main points however. your mother did the right thing. The greatest evil feminists ever did was convince society that a career woman was in any way nobler than a woman who chose to dedicate herself to her children and family. I'm all for giving women the choice and opportunity to choose career, but we shouldn't necessarily encourage it because due to biological realities, unlike for men, its career or family, you cannot focus on one without sacrificing the other.
/pol/ you do know people only make these threads in order to find caps they can post on sites like reddit/imgur for upvotes.

I think there should be some kind of minor social movement to make it more "normal" for fathers to spend less time working and more on family matters if the family can balance it.
My father was busy with work most of the time when I was a kid. He's told me a few times his main regret is not having been able to spend more time with me as a kid. We go fishing almost every month now, Mind, but it'd be nice overall if we had a more balanced structure for childcare so both parents could spend a reasonable amount of time with their children if they wanted to.
I'm not going to make suggestions as to how that could be implemented. It's just my thought.
>>32207361
We peaked some-time in the late 1990s to early 2000s. Either 9/11 or 2007-2008 marked a decline in current civilization. (Economic trouble + Erosion of privacy in the name of anti-terrorism)
Maybe things will get better later. Maybe things will get worse, but things have certainly gotten worse since the recent-past.
>>32207488
The rise of Asia created cheap consumer electronics and we got no poorer. Fuel got more expensive because there are more buyers now but so what?
What will be mass produced and made cheap by India and China and South America? I'm betting its medical treatments and devices. Nuclear weapons have ended war between major powers.
The world is better than it has ever been.
>>32207158
>its career or family, you cannot focus on one without sacrificing the other.
A while back when I was job hunting i got hired at a school for a bit. This school, like most that I know of, ran an after school program that lasted til 6 PM.
Not only did it run an after school program, but it ran a care service for before school started too, which usually was for teachers who had children that attended that school, but often times people would drop their kids off early.
There were a few children, actually quite a lot, that were there anywhere from 5:30 in the morning until 6 that afternoon. Often some of these children were then picked up by grandparents because their parents were still working. The sad part about it is, though, is a good portion of these kids had both parents together and neither one of them were willing to sacrifice time for their child.
Some of these children had siblings, too, but i feel bad for the ones who were stuck at home with no companions.
It isn't about oppression when it comes to having a care taker of the home, it really is just about family. A nanny isn't what a kid needs, they need a mother or a father to be home and raise them. Same goes for grandparents. Its great if they can help out, specially if there is a single parent, but a child craves for the attention of their parent.
Its great if you're a woman and can hold down a career. If your husband can stay at home and take care of the kids, that's fine so long as the mother can bring home enough to support everyone. But it isn't fair to a child if you're going to ignore them. Why have them? You're bound to raise some attention whore because you were to selfish to give them the time of day.
>>32207551
Asia was producing a fair amount of cheap electronics in the 90s. Fuel costs i'll give you, but I'd call their increase in cost problematic (Particularly in the USA, where the infrastructure is very car-centric.).
Obviously mass-produced cheap medical supplies would be good.
The 90-early-2000s again held no risk of war between major powers.
The increase in government surveillance holds nothing but problems for me. That said, I'll go so far as to say that while the world as a whole is better off now, the western world - the focus of my point - has declined a little in recent years. My concern is whether this is just a slight decline before another boom sets things right again, or the beginning of a terminal decline. Rationality would probably side with the former, but paranoia makes the latter easy to see.
I mean if you compare the "decline" I feel occurred in the last few years to that of Europe 1939-1946, it'd be nothing, so it's not like we're in a massive crash in quality, just a little dip at the moment.
>>32207803
We are currently dipped but I doubt there will be no upswing.
NATO fears losing its supremacy but like how second world economies thrive while the West thrives and suffers when we suffer the same will happen for us as they grow.
Their growth and their middle classes will want our products.
