Christians of /pol/, let us discuss a trial we all face: how do we manage hate?
I find myself every day trying harder and harder to not hate. I disdain and hate evil, and the works done in evil, but I try to never forget the personhood of even people who delight in the most evil of things.
And yet, every day it is like people invent new ways to be horrible. New acts that, when you think about it, become horrific simply because of the ingenuity and effort put in to find that new low.
How have you overcome this in your personal lives?
I feel you brother. I try to imagine the demons that drive people to do awful things and I try and direct a righteous anger toward them.
Daily prayer also helps a lot and so does reading a psalm in the morning and before bed.
Another trial is to change the people we hate, the sinners we must bring them to the light.
When they are so dumbfounded at the voice of reason I don't know what we can do to change them. Any ideas?
well if you religious fuckstains did not support fucking Republicans whose policies cause hate through oppressing the poor and catering to the fucking wealthy maybe you would not be getting eat up from the inside out. now please go and die in a expedient manor.
The nature of forgiveness is understanding truth. To want to be forgiven, you must first accept that you did something wrong, and to do that you must first understand the nature of human virtue.
We can help if you wish.
you are not supposed to hate but in the core of christian religion is hatred so thats your problem
most christians are hateful even those who greatly fool themselves. every one of you in this thread are hateful, you can see it from a mile. you just fool yourselves. example is this guy who lifts just to forget about all the scum he hates
the only way to overcome the hate is to face your pride and hatred and love other people. dont take yourselves too seriously for a first step, people do that very often
Your 'sin' has been commercialized. Simply opt out of the religious - occult rat race, live your life. Its why gawd gave you your own fucking brain.
you must blow harder than that friendo
God is all knowing, all Wise, all Loving and in al these aspects and every virtue, God is constant.
God is Great
I'm praying for you brother.
I've learned to realize that everyone will have to come face to face with their actions in the end. I've stopped hating and just feel pity for people now. They've ruined themselves and their own lives and only they will have to answer for it.
Did I say a real Christian would run away? A real christian would love the feminists and Jews who hate him, and accept his persecution knowing that heaven awaits. There would be no violence or hatred from true followers of Christ.
This is why I reach out so much. The hatred is overwhelming not because of what they do, but knowing they will have to face it. I don't want them to do that to themselves, and it burns me to know that they don't care. They walk into the maw willingly, and the hatred turns to saddness, and I ask if there was something I could have done.
I understand. I try to make myself available to help for those who truley desire to become better people. I've learned the hard way that I can't waste energy or resources on people who don't want to face their evil ways. I call it the "time to dust my sandals" moment. Christ was more than willing to help those who looked for it, and knew how to walk away when people were only trying to bring him into their own evil.
When I feel that way I just reread the Gospel. It helps me every time and some passages I'm able to understand more clearly.
As she drove a friend home to the township of Guguletu, outside Cape Town, on August 25, 1993, a black mob pulled her from the car and stabbed and stoned her to death.
According to Rex van Schalkwyk, in his 1998 book One Miracle is Not Enough: "Supporters of the three men accused of murdering [her] … burst out laughing in the public gallery of the Supreme Court today when a witness told how the battered woman groaned in pain."
Four people were convicted of killing her.:17–18 In 1998, all were pardoned by South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission when they stated that their actions had been politically motivated.:71
Biehl's family supported the release of the men,:71 and her father shook their hands, stating:
“ The most important vehicle of reconciliation is open and honest dialogue ... we are here to reconcile a human life which was taken without an opportunity for dialogue. When we are finished with this process we must move forward with linked arms
I wonder what enormous blindspot they have in their perception where they would allow all and every kind of depravity on this board and this site but get so Raged by people of a religious disposition exalting virtues.
Theories more than welcome.
So many theories.
I think a huge one is that, it can illuminate inequity in the self like almost nothing else can.
If you see someone being virtuous, it turns in you the reflection of virtues you lack. It's easy to lie to others, but it is a bit trickier to lie to the self. The only way to keep doing what you are doing, is to destroy what is good. If you can do that, then you won't feel bad anymore, because there is no good or bad, you destroyed it.
It is quite literally the allegory of satan.
How is supporting the extermination of several fucking races preaching? Christian here.
Look I can agree with ALOT of what /pol/ says but fucking extermination is something I have a problem with.
I used to think that. It's not true.
People believe what they want to believe, and tell themselves they have good, honest, intelligent reasons to believe it, no matter how insane it actually is.
People believe what they want to believe.
If heaven is for everybody, then the bible is wrong. I don't know what to tell you, except that the bible is not wrong.
Jesus didn't go running after the rich young ruler to convince him he'd made a huge mistake.
He just let him walk away.
No, I'm not talking about things being subjective. It is objectively better to be in heaven than hell.
And yet you, when given the choice, have chosen to go to hell, when heaven is readily available to you.
It's not subjectivism; it's delusion.
Also remember, satan will tempt you to act upon your hatred of those who dwell in sin, he wants you to sacrifice your salvation for a dying world, are you so ready to do so? Will you so callously give up your salvation for the world? Love god, and have contentment for worldly things.
>relying on kike media portrayals of Jesus
>not reading the Bible
>implying there is a heaven
>implying people who try to go to heaven won't simply be reincarnated in the material world due to their failure to achieve true spirituality
>implying that the people who manage to liberate their spiritual selves from the bondage of the physical world won't be freed from all creation and instead exist in a place without name or purpose
I was being sarcastic, I was responding to the wrong post. The claim that everything is subjective is self-defeating. Pretty much every important thinker in history has shown that one way or another.
Here's the thing. There are many groups that would kill me for my belief that Jesus is God, and the only God, and the only way to get to heaven is through Him. Islam, of course, but also the catholics, and the Jews, and any satanists I might come across.
It doesn't matter to me. I don't fear any of them. Truly, greater is He Who is in me, than he who is in the world.
Get used to being hated, if you want to be a real disciple of Jesus Christ. Not only did they crucify Jesus, but they hunted and killed His disciples, too.
Relish being hated by this evil, sick and depraved world, knowing that Jesus will set all things right, and soon.
Rejoice if your name is in the Lamb's Book of Life!
The bible is an odd book, and not readily open to understanding to dead people. When dead people read the bible, they come away with all sorts of weird ideas, like Jesus is a liberal, or a hippie, or a socialist.
Jesus is God.
If you hate, you're not following Christ's teaching. If you hoard wealth, you're not following Christ's teaching. If you interpret Christ's teachings with semantics and yet believe the literal meaning of the old testament, you are not a christian.
I will state directly to you that there is a heaven. And a hell. The same God Who made the earth also made heaven, and hell.
Things that you have not seen yet, still exist.
There is no reincarnation; it is appointed for a man once to die, and then the judgment.
Your fantasies of freely floating in the astral plane are hell next to the real heaven I am going to.
>Most scholars agree that Jesus was a Jewish rabbi from Galilee who preached his message orally,
>A typical Jew in Jesus' time had only one name, sometimes supplemented with the father's name or the individual's hometown. Thus, in the New Testament, Jesus is referred to as "Jesus of Nazareth"[f]
Because God makes you so powerful that the blows of the wicked are nothing to you.
Haven't you learned anything from 4chan? True power comes from not allowing yourself to be provoked.
He did, actually. He also drowned millions of "people" in the Flood, and has killed basically everyone who is now dead.
Don't be afraid of a man who can only kill you.
Be afraid of the living God, Who can kill you and cast your soul into eternal torment. Be very afraid of Him.
>>Most scholars agree that Jesus was a Jewish rabbi from Galilee who preached his message orally,
In other words
>>Most scholars agree that Jesus (so far as he was man was the man he is claimed to be in the Gospels
Yes. Jesus is Life; if you do not have Jesus living inside of you, you are nothing but a walking dead man.
When you become a christian, the Holy Spirit of God enters into you, and gives you life. That is the second birth; the birth of the spirit we mean when we say "born again".
If you're born again, you will never die the second death; if you are never born again, you were born a sinner, went through your life a walking dead man, and are headed to the second death we call hell, the lake of fire.
You can avoid that by changing your beliefs to properly reflect reality.
I'm a Northern European, I don't care about Middle Eastern shit.
Every single christian was actually right. Jesus is coming soon, and told us to live in that expectation. For all of those christians who are dead, they drew their last breath here on earth, and then were taken to Jesus, to be with Him forever.
I'm not surprised you can't see the signs being delivered these days; you have closed your eyes, and are stumbling about in the darkness.
You are what the bible terms a "scoffer", saying that because Jesus is taking so long to come back (two days) that He isn't coming back at all.
So, congrats! You proved the bible right.
>ignoring the thousand years of history during which Europe became the dominant force in the world in favor of D&D-tier "religion"
Yes, the original, I think. Maybe some pagans had an end of the world notion, but the bible is the only holy book on earth to actually spell out how it will happen.
If you're curious about your future on this planet, get to know two people really well: Daniel, and John the Beloved.
>around for less than a thousand years
>paganism was reportedly still practiced a couple of hundred years ago
Ancestors my ass, it was brought here with force. Christianity represents foreign oppression to me.
They do, actually, in the twinkling of an eye, right before the rapture. Maybe a nanosecond before I go, they go.
There will be no living human beings on earth after the rapture, just dead men walking, 144,000 evangelical Hebrews, and two prophets speaking and doing wonders in Jerusalem.
If you want to become a christian now, do it.
If you want to become a christian after you have seen all these things come to pass with your own eyes, you will likely be beheaded for it, assuming you have the balls to be a christian in the Antichrist's world.
And even then, you'll be earthbound, while I and my brothers are living in the New Jerusalem, high in the heavens.
My friend, I put it to you that Jesus would judge me well. I don't crow my life or wear it on my sleeve, I don't judge other people and I don't speak in the name of deity. Do you really believe you have a ticket to heaven? Have you followed the basic tenet of Jesus' teaching?
Not really. You kids with your 10 part world and your 10 kings, 3 of which will be taken over by the Antichrist, will have all the fun here on earth you want, once all the christians are gone.
Christians are literally the best people on earth; once we're gone, and the Restrainer is gone, well, be careful what you wish for!
Yeah dude, you're totally oppressed.
If only Europe had stayed true to the noble and pure ways of the great tribes of yore.
So, you admit your pagan gods are weak, and no match for Jesus.
In other words, you're starting to understand the true nature of things.
That Jesus is God, and all other gods are things Jesus made, falsely being worshiped as gods, but who have no power, hear no prayers, and provide no sustenance.
Abandon your old pagan gods. The likelihood is that they're just people.
I don't know OP, I see the bullshit and injustice around me all the time but I can't judge lest I be judged, I can't administer justice because God is the only one who delivers justice. So to sinners, I can only say they're wrong because this and that and if they don't listen to me I'm to shake the dust off my feet and leave.
I don't know, sometimes I think I should just take care of my soul and just stop trying after pointing out something and being ignored. Then sometimes I think of that Johnny Cash song you can run on for a long time, but sooner or later God'll cut you down and feel better.
Fucking retarded faggots. I swear this must be a fucking joke, or paid shills.
Why can't you annoy fucking christians piss the fuck off already?
God damn it, this is a politics board, not your fucking illusion hug box for your magical sky fairy.
These threads make me wish muslims and jews would fucking exterminate you guys. There are so many of these fucking worthless spammed threads they've turned me fucking atheist.
Fucking worthless, shit eating retards. Every single of you god damn morons.
I do understand it. I am not here to be judged by you. I am aware of the semantic gymnastics that many evangelicals and other bible thumpers use, and I choose not to interpret thus.
Not him but pagan gods are bros compared to the Christian god
>The Goddess Eostre
>doesn't give a fuck what you do or how you live
>just makes people, animals, and plants fertile
>never hurts anyone
>The Christian God
>throws a fit when people disobey him
>kills innocents who did nothing wrong other than being ignorant
>curse every man in history for the actions of two people thousands of years ago
>condemns people to hell for following the desires he gave them
Dude is kind of a cunt.
If we're so weak how are we able to oppress you?
On the contrary, Jewboy, you prove how weak you are on a daily basis.
Any pagan today is more stronger-willed than you could ever hope to be.
You made a statement, that Jesus would judge you favorably. I wanted to see if I would judge you favorably, but you're taking the fifth.
Do you understand this verse?
John 3:18 [Full Chapter]
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
If you're condemned prior to your trial, how is it again that Jesus will judge you favorably?
>tfw you go to /x/ expecting 'supernatural idiocy' and instead find thread after thread about the stupidest shit ever said on the internet
No board has failed to live up to it's name like /x/.
So pick a god you get along with well, and worship him/her/it.
If you want to worship the One True God, and be spared hell, and gain heaven, worship Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
It's really your choice.
Ah, see, I thought this was a god threat. Tell you what. I will personally fight your pagan god, myself, and you can try to fight Jesus, yourself.
My God is literally bigger than your god.
I'm not a christian and i've fully embraced hatred
I honestly feel far more mentally stable and well off after giving in to hate.
Otherwise it just gets pent up and festers.
Another way to think about it to see hatred as a sort of power.
There's no judgment in my post, from me, at all.
Maybe your guilty conscience is trying to tell you that you're not holy enough to live with God in heaven on your own merit?
I agree that the Christian doctrine of repressing negative motions is unhealthy. Not only that but it is a form of dishonesty. It is much more honest and mentally healthy to recognize and accept your feelings than to pretend they don't exist.
>itt: wealth-hoarding church worshippers putting words into Christ's mouth
Churchers are the worst. They think that all they need to do is believe in Jesus and pray for forgiveness and you've got the hot seat in heaven. Yet the true object of their worship is MAMMON. And worst of all, these are the people who deign to judge others in the name of Jesus.
I see evil as a product of ignorance, craving and poor mental habits, people acting out of misunderstandings of what will make them happy.
It's better to be more concerned with your own behavior, rather than judging others. Everyone is on their own path.
As for hate itself, I don't see the use in "hating others" it doesn't help yourself or the other. It feels awful and stresses the mind.
If someone is taking delight in doing awful shit, why would you hate them? At worst you would pity them...but even pity is a negative feeling you should overcome as well.
The peace that passes all understanding is freely available to all christians.
It's better to live filled with God's presence and peace than unmitigated hatred and rage.
It's not even a close call.
Hate the sin, not the sinner.
Always forgive, never forget.
Don't ever let yourself or you family be victims of evil.
Bad company ruins good character.
Be in this world but not of it.
Try to save your fellow man from temptations.
Lead by example, not by hypocrisy.
Everyone is free to do whatever they want at all times.
Let that sink in. Learn to deal with it.
It doesn't, but this is what many christians actually believe. They believe that "oh wow I'm human and whoops I sin" and that begging for forgiveness aka praying is all that's needed. Where are the good works?
Jesus is the True God but he is not the creator. Jesus is perfect and would not create an imperfect world full of evil and cruelty. The creator of the world and it's people was imperfect and thus so are his creations. Jesus came to show us a way to escape the flawed world of the craftsman and join him in perfection.
The Jesus you worship as the creator is a fabrication, albeit a popular. If you have felt the true glory of Jesus then you should know in your heart that this world is not of his design.
In the trinity all 3 existed simultaneously as the unified godhead.
They have specific roles.
Holy spirit is the very essence of goodness & justice (I think, I'm still trying to figure it out)
The Father, Yahweh is in His place doing idek what
The Son, Jesus, came down in the flesh to walk amongst men and spread the truth of his salvation
Jesus is the Son of God. He always has been the Son of God. And He is God.
When He was walking around the earth, He told people "I and the Father are One". That "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father."
Paul revealed that Jesus is the very incarnation of the Father; that before God created the universe, He knew that Jesus would have to die to redeem it.
The Trinity, God the Son Father and Spirit being One God, is too deep for anyone to fully understand. All of our analogies fail.
But Jesus was walking around the earth with Adam and Eve, thousands of years before He was born of a virgin.
Jesus is I Am as much as the Father is I Am; eternal beings with no creator, no beginning, and no end.
Of Himself, Jesus said He is the Alpha and the Omega; the Beginning and the End; He is God in the flesh, come to live with us, so that by Him, we might be saved.
Too bad that will never happen.
Okay, well, no christian posted that; you did. So maybe christians are sick and tired of non-christians misstating the clear gospel message. Maybe that.
Maybe your "good works", as you call them, are as filthy rags to a holy God. Maybe that.
Jesus is a false idol conveniently rewritten as synonymous with the Father as a technicality, to get around the fact that several commandments are being broken by christians:
>I am the Lord thy God
Said the Lord, fairly unequivocal.
>Thou shalt have no other gods before me
Worshipping Jesus is doing this.
>Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image
Worshipping the crucifix.
How was everyones weekend? I'm beginning to get back into my Christian roots ever since browsing /pol/ the last couple of months and seeing how great you believers are!
What I've noticed so far...
>angry/mad at the world
>always buttmad about Christ
>fester tons of resentment/general hatred for others who just want to be happy
>spreading the good word!
>very nice, tolerant, and accepting.
/pol/ Christians make me feel God's love again and how true Christians should act!
Okay, Satan. Whatever you say. Oh, wait, no, you're the Father of Lies; who in their right mind would listen to you?
Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”
God (all 3) created creation. At first it was good, but then evil perverted it and things went to shit. Apparently His angels had freewill too and some chose to rebel, others chose to obey.
I view it more like not a mistake made in His part but more of what needed to be done for ultimate true salvation to come to us.
True faith & love comes from belief, not from being irrefutably proven, and that's what this is all about (funny how some atheists can't come to terms with this concept).
I think it will be too late when the end of times comes around and God's wrath is irrefutable.
God is a supernatural triune being Who has revealed Himself to us as Father Son and Spirit, bound together as One God. We worship One God.
We have no other Gods before God.
You'd have to talk to a catholic about the crucifix; they're obsessed with Jesus hanging on the cross. I'm obsessed with His empty tomb and imminent return.
You should be, too.
>Worshipping Jesus is doing this.
not if Jesus and the Father are One.
>Worshipping the crucifix.
appreciating what it means or points to is not the same as worship...otherwise we could say Muslims worship the Quran since they love it so much
I think God is a real asshole and just created people to be a prick to them. Satan thought that this was retarded and wants us to be happy. Many wars are fought in the name of God, many people suffer from his creation. Hail Satan, I say. 3:)
I get that nobody likes to be judged.
By becoming a christian, you are guaranteed not to be judged by Jesus, the Judge of the Universe.
That's the judgment I'm telling you to miss. That's the day not to be in court. That's the day you'd rather be with the saints at the Feast, than before the Judge on His Great White Throne.
Miss that day, at all costs.
Real Christians don't have any money, since they've given it to the poor, they've left their families behind and chosen not to marry, and walk around barefoot preaching love with their actions more than their words
I don't think there has ever been a christian since Jesus, though.
Your first 2 points are invalid since Jesus God the Son & Yahweh God the Father are 2 of the 3 (3rd being Holy Spirit) in the Trinity.
The last point... I suppose it's open to interpretation. We don't worship the crucifix as God, we use it as a means of relating it to God (Pass by reference, not by value huehue). Always worshiping God over any created object. The Catholics... idk they kind've went wild with the idea.
if a person approaches God in an act of contrition, of genuine sorrow for their sins - then you shouldn't doubt that God will forgive them. The Lord steadfastly refuses limits to His mercy. Also I'd like to throw in that the sacrament of confession is much more preferable to personal confessions to God, but that the essential element of being forgiven by God is a contrite heart
We have all these ideas about the saving faith, whether faith or works, or whether faith and works, whether works are the natural extension of the true faith, or a million other ideas on salvation, but when it comes down to it, none of us truly know whether we're saved until we've died.
This is why all these theological discussions don't matter in the end. Follow the commandments of Jesus Christ and love your neighbor and enemy as yourself, live your life as a good man filled with the love of God and your brothers and sisters and leave the rest to God
The revelations literalists are an interesting cult. They've created this death-cult where they get to go to heaven without dying, and the world is going to end soon so just trash the joint. It's truly the most wicked manifestation of modern entitlement.
not really, once you realize Clark Kent and Superman are One, you realize you aren't worshiping two beings, but One.
But lets be honest, Jesus wasn't looking for worshipers, he wanted disciples. Christians today are just cheerleaders of Christ more or less.
The bible is the work of men not Jesus.
The True God would not be so incompetent. A creation of the perfect True God could not be perverted. Such a thing could only befall the creation of an imperfect being such as the craftsman.
We aren't imperfect. We are exaclty what God intended us to be: beings that had the option to reject him. Without that option, us obeying him what have as much meaning as if you wrote a story where you were the coolest guy every with a flamethrower that came out of your arm and everyone did whatever you said.
Thats the aim of the game.
We are all sinners, Christians of all people accept that and we know for a fact (Christians) that Jesus was and is the only Man to ever live without sin. With that said, if we were judged we'd all fall short of redemption without the grace of God's salvation. Live in fear of the Lord your God.
For the record, the Day of Judgement will be the day the sinners cower in fear and the believers rejoice for the cleansing of the evil in this world and joining God to live as his children in His presence.
Maybe read (and believe) the bible, for once.
Matt. 7:7-8 says that everyone who asks, receives. Romans 10:13 agrees. And Ephesians 1:13-14 says the moment you heard the gospel and believed it, God sealed the Holy Spirit within you as a deposit guaranteeing your inheritance. 2 cor. 1:21-22 confirms this.
Titus 3:4-7 says He didn’t save you because you deserve to be saved, but because of His mercy. And Jesus Himself said what God requires of us is that we believe He sent His Son to die for our sins so we could live in eternity with Him (John 3:16, John 6:28-29, John 6:37-40).
Revelations is coming true before our very eyes, but the concept of a pre-tribulation rapture is absurd. If you call yourself a Christian, you are going to have to face some adversity before the end.
Gee, I wonder where christians got that idea from.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Oh, yeah, the bible.
Hate is not evil, it is a necessary part of us all, but we should take care not to be consumed by it.
Hatred is the voice of God which speaks directly to your soul, ignore not hatred, lest ye be it's victim.
When injustices occur, we feel God's wrath in our hearts, in the form of hate, and there it remains until justice is served.
Hate is Gods command of us to do his bidding.
The bible is a collection of 66 books written by about 40 men over a period of about 1,500 years, and it is inspired by the Holy Spirit of God. Every book of it. Every word of it. Every letter of it.
It was so powerful that even the copies you read today are 99.5% intact, from thousands of years ago.
It is literally the only holy book on the planet.
Bema seat for rewards; christians only.
Kind of like the Academy Awards are only for actors.
If you are not a christian, you will not be rewarded at the bema seat of Christ Jesus.
I will, though. I'm looking forward to it!
>who has ever taken a neopagan seriously?
Through blood and steel, hatred and deception the Christians easily subdued the old pagans, and bastardized their culture, might is right for those who win are justice.
maybe OT God, but not NT God
NT God is all about love, not hate.
Your statement is not coherent. All christians all go through adversity in their life. Nobody that is now a christian will go through the Great Tribulation.
tribulations in your life are not the Great Tribulation, and the rapture most definitely precedes the Tribulation.
It's been known since Isaiah.
Isaiah 26:19-21. But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead. Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins.
why, your ancestors sold out as easy to hundred of years of the previous religion, and the same is being repeated today with Europeans leaving Christianity for other religions.
>“That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.”
Same God. Different covenants. I far prefer the New Covenant in Christ Jesus than the Law, but that's just me. I'd rather be saved, then try to be holy enough to live with God on my own power.
To say that humans or the world is not imperfect is to ignore what is right in front of your eyes. The True God created nothing because he needed nothing and thus has no need for 'meaning'. We were created by the craftsman and thus we suffer from his imperfection. But the True God, who came to us as Jesus, offers us salvation from the imperfect world.
>you're shattering is your grip on Reality
>by not subscribing to my fantasy
Jesus is the One True God, and He made the heavens and the earth, and they were good.
Then men and angels sinned, and allowed decay and death to enter into the universe, and it has been falling apart ever since.
You should get to know Jesus, before you call Him the Craftsman. He's far more than that.
GRUNWALD BEST DAY OF MY LIFE
Teuton scum BTFO
When I said tribulations, that was in reference to the coming calamities needed to bring about the new world order and enthrone the antichrist. The rapture is when all Christians ascend before God sends the great plagues to punish the wicked left on earth.
No, I absolutely reject your idea that a christian cannot KNOW that they are saved. John wrote his epistles just so that we could KNOW that we are saved.
The notion that we will not know whether or not we are saved until we reach paradise is ISLAMIC.
What I was trying to refer to was the silly "left-behind" kind of rapture where everyone gets to disappear before anything bad happens. The truth is, most people won't even make it to the one world government stage of things, since the plan is to kill off 90% of the people around today.
>>doing justice in the name of god with hatred in your heart
>This is the actual opposite of Jesus' gospel.
Justice is not vengeance, my brother
they are two very different things
Hate the sin, not the sinner
is what Jesus taught.
Hatred drives us to prevent further injustice,
not to avenge the victims, or to punish the guilty
but that it should happen no more.
Jesus taught us to stand up to our oppressors
and to deny him.
not to lay down and suffer
but to turn the other cheek and say
you have no authority over me
You would probably benefit from more biblical understanding and knowledge, and less, well, whatever caused your last three posts.
If you think Jesus is going to force His bride to walk through the Great Tribulation, you don't know Enoch, the seventh from Adam, and you don't know why he is important.
And you don't understand Paul's letters to the Thessalonians, and to the Corinthians, and to the Colossians.
The Bible Teaches About a Rapture
1 Thessalonians 4:17 speaks of an event called "the Rapture", Latin "rapio," Greek "harpazo," which means "to catch up, to snatch away, or to take out." "After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." Paul states that the concept of the Rapture is meant to encourage believers during this Age (1 Thes. 4:18). Other New Testament references on the Rapture are Jn. 14:1-4; I Cor. 15:51-58; and 1 Thes. 4:13-18.
>Same god. Different covenants.
>Implying the True God wouldn't get it right the first time.
The True God made no covenants. These are covenants with the imperfect craftsman.
Jesus isn't the craftsman. He is the True God come as flesh to lead people away from the untruth of the craftsman. A perfect being could create a world in which decay and death may never enter. These things exist because the creator was imperfect. This creator and Jesus are separate entities.
We are not, actually. Even that statement of yours is demonstrably false.
2 Corinthians 5:17 [Full Chapter]
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
That is not you. You are Human 1.0.
I am Human 2.0
You have such odd ideas. Maybe you'd benefit from getting in touch with reality a little. There is no evil craftsman from whom we must flee. There is only the Creator, to whom we can be reconciled.
Jesus is that Creator.
Jesus is God.
Let's unpack this a bit
First, I wouldn't stop there. I'd go so far as to say a person who considers themselves a Christian will not know whether they are a disciple of Christ until they've died. There's plenty of "Christians", and fewer disciples. All a man can do is to have a willingness to be seized by the truth that Jesus is Lord and possess the conviction to obey Christ's commands.
But there's plenty of people who say Jesus is Lord, or even think they believe it without understanding what it means to believe it. It's these people who share your opinion, that they're justified by their faith and their actions are henceforward meaningless, that can die, assured of themselves, and then meet the Lord when says to them Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.
You better think long and hard on what it really means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ
>You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.
>But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
21 “Caesar’s,” they replied.
Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
Jesus never really preached against rebelling against the State
Not really, no, as I am one, and you're a catholic.
See, you're a works based religion, never sure of your own salvation, because at least part of it is up to you. And you're a total failure at being God, so part of your salvation, in your own works based ideology, is a complete and utter failure. So if it's up to you to get into heaven, you know that you would fail, and have failed, to do so.
See, the latter part about the drinking of the water, etc., is in regards to tribulation saints. You don't know that, because you don't know how to properly divide the bible. You think you have to give a child a drink of water to get into heaven. But you don't live in the Tribulation age, yet. You will, but not yet. You are still in the Age of the Church.
And you think I'm speaking of the catholic church, naturally, which I most certainly am not. The catholic church members are exactly the sorts of people Jesus will tell to get away from Him, as they are workers of iniquity.
No, christians can know that they are saved by having the Holy Spirit inside of them telling them they are saved.
You're running around giving out as many glasses of water as you can.
Because you have completely missed the point of the gospel of Jesus Christ; that salvation is a gift given by God to whoever believes in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Read 1 John, and every day, until you can KNOW that you KNOW that you are saved. Until you KNOW, your salvation is in doubt and Jesus told us to MAKE SURE of our own salvation.
Which you have obviously not done.
YHWH is the craftsman not the True God and not Jesus.
The craftsman is not evil, just imperfect and unaware of his imperfection. And I think reality should be enough to convince you that the creator and the True God are not the same entity.
Indeed, He did quite the opposite, stating that all authority is God's, and from God, and that rebellion against authority is rebellion against God. It should only be done under dire circumstances, where you can be convinced in your heart that God Himself would be involved in that rebellion.
If you truly love Creation Order Divine Eternal then you know that the best way to show love for all is by killing a few.
Destroy sickness to heal.
Kill murderers to save.
Poison a king to restore.
craftsman = yaldabaoth?
sounds like you're talking about gnostic christianity but not quite how i remember it
Christians are not forbidden to hate, but only should direct the hate into the right direction and dont be possesd by it.
The bible says hating evil, sin, and unrighteusness is a sign of a christian and God loves it, because you can read that God also hates those things and does not tolerate it.
If we now try to be like christ who hated the pharasees for their hypocray, why are we not allowed to hate what God hates
As the great apostle Paul said, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
It doesn't matter to me if I live or die, but if by living I can sneak one more person into heaven, then I shall live to do so.
One more for the Kingdom!
One more for Christ Jesus!
discipleship can tolerate no conditions which might come between jesus and our obedience to him - d. bonhoeffer
without obedience to christ, you're not a disciple. christianity without obedience to christ is christianity without discipleship, christianity with no following of christ.
if you believe in christ, you will obey christ. do you obey christ's commandment to love you neighbor and your enemy? if you don't, you don't believe.
>Much more in the names of all of the false christs. that came before him
fixed that for you
Jesus is but the latest name given to the incarnation of god.
the works vs faith debate misses the point.
Works = Faith = Works = Faith.
To have faith means to work as Jesus did.
>that salvation is a gift given by God to whoever believes in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Your faith is embodied in your works, how you live the holy life. Your faith is not a mental prayer you affirm, it's not linguistic, it's not something you simply regurgitate verbatim.
There's nothing magical about invoking "Jesus Christs" name or saying "I love you Jesus"...you get no brownie points this way.
Your faith in Jesus is precisely the good you do, faith is without words. Faith is intention and action.
>If we now try to be like christ who hated the pharasees for their hypocray
Don't confuse frustration or strong words with hate. Jesus also yelled at Peter and called him Satan.
Did Jesus hate peter? Doubtful...As far as "hate" goes, the Christian should hate money and family bonds more than anything and give them up immediately.
Since these things will prevent him from doing as Jesus did and being a disciple and thus saved. Only disciples have faith in Jesus, the rest are just cheerleaders paying lip service.
Unfortunately the fuck you I got mine mentality is so ingrained in today's entitled that they cannot even imagine untangling it from their mind. So they weave it into their belief, until even a place in heaven is viewed as an entitlement. For if we all lived as Jesus taught, we would already have heaven on Earth.
I am involved in no such debate.
I am saying that the bible supports knowing whether or not you are saved, before you die.
You say that is impossible.
But with God, all things are possible.
I am not impressed with either your faith or your works, to be blunt. I'm not even sure you know Jesus, or what the work is. Maybe you should post your bona fides first, then talk "faith v works".
Trips = gospel truth.

>yes, even hate his own life.
It's funny how people like Francis of Assisi or Father Juniper or the Apostles are seen as these bizarre anomalies in Christianity, when they should be the average. But people are too attached to their lives, their money, their worldly goods...they think Jesus set a standard too high...
"For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." - Jesus
how can a person know if they're saved when people are capable of lying to themselves? you say you believe. do you? really? are you so certain that works are dead, rather than the extension of faith? do you love God? you neighbor and enemy as yourself?
do you see how impossible it is to answer these questions? who can be the judge of whether we love God? who can be the judge of whether we love our neighbor? who can be the judge of whether we have faith?
you don't, and the bible doesn't. God alone
work out your salvation in fear and trembling, but not without hope, faith, and love, and the greatest of these is what?
Do you think that somebody like George W. Bush, a devout christian, has a guaranteed place in paradise simply because he believes in Jesus? What about somebody like Bill Gates, also a very rich man, but an athiest?
1 Corinthians 4 So look at Apollos and me as mere servants of Christ who have been put in charge of explaining God’s mysteries. 2 Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful. 3 As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point. 4 My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide.
5 So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time—before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.
6 Dear brothers and sisters, I have used Apollos and myself to illustrate what I’ve been saying. If you pay attention to what I have quoted from the Scriptures, you won’t be proud of one of your leaders at the expense of another. 7 For what gives you the right to make such a judgment? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?
>worshiping dead kike on a stick
>inb4 le hat joke xD
>It's best to let stupid be stupid anyway.
"I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars--I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you."
"who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone"
referring to jews, read previous verse.

I'm afraid you've got it all wrong, brother.
Hate is not the 'Evil,' 'negative,' emotion that you perceive it to be. Do not be blinded by the "Church of Nice," modernist heresies.
Allow Kai Murros to explain:
Deus lo Vult! Hail Victory!
Can you or anyone else please give me a reason to stay as a traditional Catholic instead of embrace Orthodoxy. I need a better reason than the Pope, because his claim to supremacy has always been half a faith principle in the first place. I can barely take it anymore--I don't want to be mocked and marginal member of my own Church.
Don't give up hope, brother. The message of globalism coming from the Vatican is disheartening, but there is still Traditionalists out there.
God keep you.
>The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
You do not manage how you hate, only why you hate something.
>Prominent members of the SSPX, including Lefebvre himself, have, at various times, expressed approval or support for a restoration of an absolutist French monarchy; the Vichy government (1940–1944); and the party of Jean-Marie le Pen.
>On the basis of statements made by Bishop Richard Williamson, the Anti-Defamation League has accused the Society of being "mired in anti-Semitism".
>It was in an SSPX priory, where he had been granted asylum as "an act of charity to a homeless man", that French Nazi collaborator and war criminal Paul Touvier was arrested. On his death, in 1996, a priest of the society publicly offered Requiem Mass for him.
>mfw the bible makes it okay to crusade and destroy degenerates
Oh shit son.
I've never understood how this kind of groups continue to exist. Why does the Church allow them, and then preach completely contradictory beliefs? Do these Bishops have ANY influence in the Vatican? Do the Knights of Malta have any respect anymore.
It just all feels like a reenactment museum that the Church pats on the head, and otherwise ignores. Clearly the Pope doesn't give a shit about actually keeping Catholics in line (unless they're conservative), so why shouldn't I just be a Schismatic?
The bible makes it perfectly clear that we should be centrist and not be pulled with the polar opposites of left and right.
>Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
>Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
>Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Yes, it's perfectly okay to hate deviancy. Yes, it's perfectly okay to hate those who propagate degeneracy but we should also love them and try our best to lead them back into the light.
>being this buttmadd
dude what the fuck, athiest here who is enjoying reading this thread for the intra-faith discussion. Go blow yourself.
