The US military spends more money on Viagra alone than it would spend on the medical services for every trans person in the military. most of whom don't even ask the military to pay for their treatments or surgeries anyways.

There are many thousand non-combat jobs in the military. Further, even if there weren't, as long as they can continue to pass the physical exams everyone else has to pass to serve in the first place then why does it matter?

There are 2 posibilities. This is bigotry on the part of "the most Pro-LGBT administration in history" (maybe Trump is a bigot, maybe he's not but he's willing to throw trans people under the bus to get support from the far right, maybe something I haven't thought of ) or Trump has no idea the actual scale of the costs involved and is thinking this is some big cost saver when it's not (maybe he watches too much Fox news, maybe an aide is actively misleading him, maybe he just decided it and didn't bother to check.)

Take a long hard look at how much more often people who are bullied kill themselves and try to tell me those things aren't related. Or even just look at those same trans suicide numbers. The simple though that people can tell is linked to a 6% increase in suicide rates. Trans people who report being bullied see the suicide rates go from between 35 and 45%, to 50% for more typical stuff, up to 63% if it gets to physical attacks, and up to 73% for sexual assualt Negative work experiences (say, being thrown out of or denies enterance to the military) jump the average rate of attempted suicide from 45%, to 53%.

So there are your numbers. Feeling or actually being descriminated against (in work or in regular social interactions) are directly linked to large increases in suicide rates.

We have 8 weeks until the German election and our chance to get a new chancellor. It is also the last chance to get rid of the EU democratically.
