Under the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution Equal Protection Clause, the standard of review for a law that discriminates against sexual orientation is rational basis or intermediate scrutiny. However, its arguable that Transgenderism is not a "sexual orientation" as gender dysphoria is classified as a mental disorder by the DSM IV. As a side note, laws discriminating against disabled people is subject only to rational basis

Rational basis review is the minimum standard a law must pass to be constitutional. This means that the law is rationally related to a legitimate governmental interest in fact or hypothetically. The burden would be on the transgender plaintiffs to prove the law is arbitrary, irrational, or capricious.

Here, excluding transgenders is rationally related to the governmental interest of saving military costs associated with fielding such service members. These costs would include medical for hormones and transition surgery, sensitivity training, and insurance. Because the law meets rational basis review, it is constitutional and the burden is on the plaintiff to prove otherwise.

Isn't the natural solution to this problem to make men the caretakers and women the providers? It only makes sense:

>An increasing number of men, dissatisfied with the status quo, are dropping out of professional life ie. they have a lot of spare time
>Men are better caretakers than women (compare the children of single mothers to those of single fathers)
>Househusbands would remove the biggest factor holding women back from having multiple children, as they'd be the ones tasked with childrearing

Women benefit, men benefit and above all the nations of the West benefit. Why isn't this a thing yet? We could even co-opt feminist "girlpower" bullshit and subvert it into a mirror image of traditionalism centered around the nuclear family.
