What the fuck is with all this diversity crap? Everyone keeps talking about "minority this, minority that" when I feel like the fucking minority here.
I live in a town full of white people and our police chief talks about how he is so excited to hire a black female. Why?
Not only that but I when I find jobs/careers and check their websites it all chock full of "We are so happy to have diversity in our ranks :) Did you know we have programs to help minorities get into managing positions?" What?
This was the same for when I was in the military. CONSTANT talks about how we should be so euphoric to have gays, women, and "minorites" in our ranks, even though half the officers were full of Puerto Ricans and Blacks. There are actually programs for people who are black and hispanic that help them get jobs and promotions in the military. What a load of crap.
The worst part is when I look up people being against diversity I find nothing except an article or two. There isn't any valid explanation for diversity besides languages. What makes a black man from the suburbs better than a white man from the suburbs?
Go and look up "Why we should have diversity" and you will find nothing of value. All the arguments are "You don't want to be racist" or "It helps people feel more comfortable". What? What does that matter to a company? How could an employee/customer feel uncomfortable if a worker is white?
Someone explain this garbage.

The thing that fucked up their budget and therefore all social programs is not that the oil price dropped, but their lack of adaptability to this situation. In a normal free market a company would have to take action to counter this, as you don't see the USA collapsing because of lower oil prices. The fact that oil is state owned, makes it inefficient by default, as with all government programs.
After that the Venezuelan government made it worse by not only blaming other companies, like demanding bakers to sell bread for the price before the crisis, making them bankrupt, but by also not fixing their own mistakes. This caused the deathspiral they are in today.

Yes. I've seen it firsthand at my University (Waseda). Every week or so there is a truck that drives through my school with pro-China anti-America propoganda on the speakers.
Also, there are Chinese who pose as Japanese protesters in Okinawa to protest American influence.

I'm an American, so take that how you will. I'm half Chinese by ethnicity and went to Waseda, so I have plenty of Japanese friends. I've seen and been a part of plenty of things here, some of which disgust or sadden me. I know I had to deal with a fuckton of Anti-American sentiment from the Chinese, to say the least.
There are times when Japanese will get upset about a rape or something that occurs in Okinawa on a military base, but it is really the Chinese that are fanning the flames and say "see? look how terrible the Americans are...the Chinese are much better!" They are the ones staging protests, blasting propaganda everywhere, trying to spread anti-American attitudes however they can.
Its a phenomenon you don't really see in American identity politics. Here, the Chinese use their ethnic similarity to pose as other Asians. Its probably more like medieval Eruope politically.
