>In the wake of the recent events of Charlottesville, I thought I would just write an Op;Ed on the current situation of the American political system.
For the last two decades or so, the American political system has been plagued by Identitarians on both sides of the political spectrum that have sought out to employ their own form of authoritarianism whilst damning anyone who does not conform to their ideologies. While for the longest time we have seen the left in control of everything from government to culture, there is a new strand of Right Wing Authoritarianism that seeks to simply replace the current authoritarian system. But who are these Nutjobs who are trying to occupy the positions of power?
The left has the Social Justice Warriors, who everyone has felt the influence of to some degree. It is a broad term that describes movements like Intersectional Feminism and Black Lives Matter. They believe that Western Culture is being controlled by a White Supremacist Capitalist Patriarchy. They believe that the only way that people will have true equality and peace is to actively go against anything that remotely looks like a Western Ideal, and discriminate based on arbitrary characteristics such as race (White) and gender (Male). They're communists and socialists in disguise as Liberals. They believe that only when their ideology holds a hegemonic control over society that they will obtain the peace they deserve; whist failing to understand that the majority of these "activists" will be oppressed by the very system they strive for. Any idea that is "Too right wing" for them is considered Hate Speech and must be shut down to protect the feelings of some.
The right has the Alt Right, a upcoming movement seeking to take the throne of power. The term is used to describe a conglomeration of several far right wing ideologies ranging from White Nationalism to Nazism and, to some extent, extreme Constitutionalism. Simultaneously, the Kekistanis became both a thorn in the sides of these radical groups and a method for centrists to mock these radical people without having to resort to violence. The fact that both the Alt-right and Tumblrites have responded negatively to such people is evidence that they don't take kindly to their ideals being challenged. However, I believe that Kekistan is another domino in the progression of current politics. I am not saying that a new "Centrist" party will be created by the time of the next election; more I am saying that it will be something that will eventually occur given these trends and the fact that the people currently occupying the seats of American Political Parties are - by the majority - stuck in their own little radical bubbles.
