To compound the problem, this system has been in place for multiple generations. Those parents, as products of the same system, lack the necessary skills and maturity to impart anyway.

Consume, obey and pump out another generation to be raised by the democracy of the playground. No adults present or desired.

Basically a 2 degree increase for world tempratures doesn't sound like much but it will cause much hotter springs/summers, and more violent storms. The reason for more violent storms is weather patterns feed on hot, moist air as fuel for hurricanes. Even small temperature upswings can lead to category 4 and 5 hurricanes, a lot more of them.
