Long story short, some pillhead stole my shit a couple years ago and I want to get back into it. Still have a couple Nikkor lenses, so I'd like to stick with Nikon.
Picture= shit I used to shoot.
Been looking at the D750 or D800, but the D700 is about half the priced. I can't find the 750 used on fleabay (I have a major hardon for the 750)
Talk me out of buying a D750.

If you're taking photos of flowers, get a D5300 and save your money.
I'm a fucking idiot... Title should have been "Tax Return"
Sorry, sorry.

Fuck that. I want full frame, lots of dynamic range and clean low light performance.
Mostly for landscape. Some portrait and street stuff. But mostly natural and urban landscape.
I don't want some half-baked soccer mom camera.

if you want those things nobody's going to talk you out of a D750, it's a wonderful camera. i own one and it's everything i ever wanted. if i was looking for a complaint i'd say the picture playback loads a bit slow and the shutter isn't ever quiet even on Quiet, and there's an anti-aliasing filter which i don't appreciate. and vs. a D700 it's not built as robustly, i think; the D700 has all the sturdiness of a D3/D4S/stack of cement bricks.
the sensor is amazing, the autofocus is amazing, the feature set is amazing (flippy screen, wifi, 2 card slots, battery life for centuries, non-CPU lens metering and great functionality with AI/AI-S lenses, great buffer, great burst).
this photo is slightly cropped and edited for white balance but i'm leaving it at 2048px to help you pixel peep. this is ISO 4500 and other than what I mentioned is straight from the camera.

TL;DR, buy d750, be happy, and post pics
