How do they make this effect /p/? VSCO filters?
I really want to make these effects and is this film?
I've been looking at tutorials and I can't replicate this look.

This looks like generic tumblr but do they paint the skies photoshop or something? Photo Manipulation?

Most likely a combination of images together

Killed highlights, Dropped the shadows too much, possibly some green tint, heavy on the stupid vignette, color manip. Awful result desu
>>2747795
warm + pink color balance, killed the overblown highlights again
These are bad photos OP. Falls right into "generic hipster bullshit" Don't try to emulate
Shoot film or get VSCO presets for LR or PS
>>2747793
Fading the brains out of the entire photo and adding tint. I really doubt they used VSCO, cause these photos look like complete shit.

There alot of tutorials about it look up california hipster or shit like that. If i remember correctly it was on Photoshop(not in this order)
>Playing around with curves
>putting a gradient map to balance out the colours
>vignette like crazy
>new black fill layer then reducing the opacity.
you can also use VSGO to make it better

>is this film?
Holy fuck no.
>>2747869
>these photos look like complete shit
>Why all the hate? Those photos are usually what clients want for their engagement shoot.
These two things are usually mutually inclusive

If you're a pro bottomline is you provide what the clients want. This "hipster" style is what is "in" and what clients want. If you have a portfolio full of these hipster shots, you will be getting a lot of clients.
since I don't want to make another thread just for a "what is this filter" question, I'll post here, how to achieve this effect?

Bright soft light across your whole scene, add contrast, raise black point a bit. That one's really simple.
