I agree, its pretty hard with buildings. I try to steer away from getting the full building in the shot and try just doing shots. (i.e. the bottom floor of a building, typically backyard/courtyard shots look better i think.)

Overall, the shots seem decent, but I would suggest working on finding more interesting scenes and/or subjects. And consider cropping less aggressively, please. I can't say for sure (after all, I wasn't there), but I feel like you're depriving yourself of a ton of interest[ing visuals] when you crop so tightly on buildings and random objects and shit.

interesting, do you feel that the ones taken with the phone are more prone to this, or all the photos?

With the phone, I always frame it in 4:3, then crop back to 3:2, so that may be it.

You're right my framing is really tight more often than not, but most of the time there's nothing interesting surrounding my subjects. I'll try to look for different compositions next time
