Pentacks were unusually common in one ws I taught some years ago, there were 3, I didn't even knew they were good at the time. Never seen one in use again, tho. Never spotted a sony a7x, tho. Only Canikon and Nex are officially sold in Br, I think.

I've seen a lot more Leicas than Pentax. It's fucking surreal when you start to realize how expensive but numerous they are.

In Germany there has been boom in the zonys and zeisses over the last two years. I think it's the reason why there is no more room for Samsung.

Lots of Olympus OMDs here in Australia. Mostly Chineseys though. Your typical tourist/photog has a Canon RABAL with the kit lens. Rarely Nikons.

I once found a bunch of old film cameras in the trash. Minolta and Pentax mostly, a Canon too.

I once hooked up with a q;t in Japan and she was shooting a pentacks.

Pentax cameras are mostly designed for outdoors people and the features reflect that. Why would Pentax design cameras with weather sealing and rugged build, also coupled with weather sealed consumer level lens? Their main target demographic is literally outside shooting photos, nowhere near an internet connection or a city center. No wonder you people don't meet Pentax owners when all you do is bitch on the internet. Go outside, to forests, parks, places with unpleasant weather and you will find a lot more.
