thanks. desu i was blown away when i went to the lab to pick the processed slides. last time i tried color in my half frame it was some ass iso 400 fuji bullshit film and of course it was shite. i stared at the small frames like a little child over his first optimus prime toy or something.

that said, i scan with my old v500. then i color correct them by eye. using mostly curves, and a bit of color balance. levels too. sometimes i use the auto color eq, but not that much because it fucks the highlights. i do two corrections: one by the night, the other when i wake up. then i tighten the color balance, with fresh eyes.

my first slides were medium format squares, i had that reaction. yesterday it was exactly the same, its not something you get accustomed to. a friend gave me a slide projector so i cant wait to project these miniatures into the wall.

the canon is sharp when you focus properly, otherwise it looks soft/fuzzy, but i like these too, my sight is not so good, so its more or less how i see the world: colorful as fuck and a bit fuzzy.
