If you are shooting on a camera with a 4:3 aspect ratio how does that affect the picture compared to a 3:2 aspect ratio?
Like let's say we have 2 cameras, a M43 (in 4:3) and a full frame (in 3:2) and ignore the iq memes.
We put a 25mm lens on the m43 and a 50 mm lens on the full frame. The crop factor for m43 is 2.
Ok so if we take a photo with both cameras on the exact same spot using a tripod with equivalent f stops and iso.
1. The M43 will have more distortion to fill the 4:3 aspect ratio?
2. The M43 will have more image on the top and bottom of the picture?
3. The M43 will have less image on the side of the picture, effectively making the image more cropped
good lord you are fucking stupid
the image you posted literally answers your own question
have been doing photography for a couple months now and would love a bit of feedback/ criticism

Do you even like them?
few weeks ago my leica M4 got fungus inside the viewfinder so I sent it to the service and got it back all cleaned
but I'm afraid if this will ever happen again
I never put my camera anywhere like a closet or something
I was always carrying my M4 in a ever ready case
and maybe that ever ready case caused the fungus?
because it's summer so the air is pretty wet here
so if i carry my camera around without any leather case would it be alright?
I'm so fucking scared of fungus
>>3128576
Try to keep you're M4 in direct sun light when no in use/ "Cleanly with a body cap on so you don't run the shutter. Do the same with lenses too. UV light kills fungus and can prevent it.
Just put a couple packs of silica gel in your case and it will be a-ok anon.
Got this camera at a garage sale for cheap and I want to ask why it takes shitty photos. I turn the ISO to 3200 and it's full of noisy shit.
>>3128137
higher ISO means more noise. set it to 100 and only shoot when your eyes can see the object, or use flash, or shoot RAW so you can edit without reducing the quality
>>3128137
>gh4
>garage sale
nice try, m43 troll
Not too well versed in editing so I'm wondering whether this is a specific type of filter, or for that matter, any editing technique to get this type of image

Op I think you are colour blind.
What are your preferred iOS/Android apps for editing photos that actually allow you to do proper fine-tune edits?(RGB curves, HSL, resizing, brush adjustments, etc etc. no fucking VSCO filters)
I've been looking for years and the best iOS ones I've ended up with are Lightroom Mobile and Polarr. They have more or less the same feature set, but I mainly use Polarr due to it's more comprehensive UI.
>what's your favorit trashtier shit editing app :^))))
you edit photos on a computer if you shot digital. you edit photos in a darkroom if you shoot film.
Lightroom mobile -even the free shit one- is pretty goat. Other than that VSCO. Then again, I'm talking about apps for phone snapshits.
>>3127798
>being that guy
>>3127798
How is a simple curve adjustment on a phone shittier than a photoshop curve layer?
You'd be surprised how much better these apps have gotten over time, but that's not what I was trying to talk about anyways.
What's the cheapest used micro 4/3s camera I can get? I want something small and light as a secondary camera, probably just going to adapt my current lenses to it and get some different focal length options with the smaller sensor.
Is the e-pl1 trash? Super cheap on ebay.
>>3127494
>adapt my current lenses
why bother? the whole point of m43 is small lenses
>>3127494
GX85 if you like video, O-M5 Mk.I if you want photoy only
Everything else is either too new or too old. That's the sweet spot right now
>>3127494
Why do you need a secondary camera?
is it worth buying? is there something better for the same price?
>>3127451
I considered it since it was in my price range, but I ended up going for the Nikon D7200 - cheaper and better - like, INFINITELY better.
http://cameradecision.com/compare/Canon-EOS-80D-vs-Nikon-D7200
I'll never understand why the piece of shit still has buyers at that price.

>Comparing 2 cameras solely on the base of some website
>Only talking about some characteristics
>Not trying both on hand before purchasing
ISHYGDDT
>>3127685
"some" website? a website that compares literally every relevant aspect of the cameras? besides, i wanted to offer a little insight, not list him every physical comparison possible
you are a retarded fucking pleb if you think that testing the cameras at a store irl will help. limited environment and time for an investment that will last years? ok then
why would you ignore specs you fucking shitbrain
Worth it?
They're having a 1/2 off sale, so this is actually 30
Got it anyways

What do you think of my photos. Combo of film and gr. On phone can't resize sorry
I've been pretty busy shooting shit with my Nikon F. I got a 105 f2.5 which I enjoy using.
When will digital cameras catch up to film? Will they ever be able to expose a scene properly? What's taking so long? None of this shoot for highlights fix it in post Bullshit.
its what i ask myself everyday. maybe in 50 years?
at least i hoarded a hundred kilos of mammography xray film so i can endure the wait.
I feel like a solution (I'm not an expert on sensors so this is pretty simple minded) would to have something of a multi-ISO sensor. As in an ISO value for a bright part of a photo and an ISO value for a darker value of a photo. And I'd guess the user would be able to set a minimum and max for each. Obviously there would be multiple settings for contrast, etc. and what not, and it would probably be a RAW format only option. It would also be pioneered mainly by mirrorless cameras. Like I said, im not expert so does anyone think that's actually possible? It'd fix a hell of a lot of dynamic range problems that's for sure.
>>3130748
What's the fucking issue here? Why hasn't it been done yet?
hey /p/ what are your thoughts on the Sony Sel 30M35 30mm f3.5 Macro as a starting macro lens for an a6300 shooter? I know Sony has a 1000 dollar macro lens that is likely better faster sharper but I'm just looking to get stsrted with Macro.
Thoughts?

if you want it as an all rounder as well as a macro sure, but if it's just for macro AF is pointless and an older manual focus lens might even be better.
>>3130807
I agree.
If you just want to do macro, use an old manual lens with a reversal ring, extension tubes or possibly even bellows.
