Death Valley National Park, Spring 2016.

Is this it...
ok, well, it's quite a boring photo.
>Midday lighting as well as that flare
>Distracting camp
>Blown highlights
> ~1x1
>Uninspired composition.
4/10 and that's only because I like dunes.
>>2996239
not a bad snap but the compisition is boring as fuck. a more "abstract" composition to capture the essence of the nice gradual light and rolling dunes woulda been better. Death valley isnt going anywhere so dont sweat
>>2996239
>Well Mom....
>Here I am!! ;))))
Fuck you OP, I hope you get killed and your pathetic corpse gets picked apart by the wildlife.
Can anybody help me identify the model, name, or make of this camera?
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you ever use settings like these on your camera or do you prefer Photoshop, and does it really matter which method you choose?

Those settings don't matter in RAW. Mine is set to Bright if someone would want to look at the preview JPEGs
>>2995648
If you just have a point and shoot camera you will end up having to learn the difference between these settings because they are the only way you have any control over the camera settings. Portrait and Landscape have different depths of field, for instance.
>>2995648
The neutral setting is your friend if shooting RAW
https://luminous-landscape.com/hasselblad-acquired-dji/
What does this even mean
>>2995538
Image-stabilised medium format that can MOTHERFUCKING FUCKING FLY!!!
>>2995538
sometimes weird things happen inside companies. it could be that they wanted into the markets DJI sells to, or that they wanted DJI's technology, or that they thought DJI would compliment their present offerings.
Or it could be that they've had a shit year and their executives are playing hide the fucking peanut and making a huge expensive acquisition to cover up their own failures and claim they have a way forward, like when HP bought Compaq.
>>2995614
Didn't read the article? The link is misleading, DJI bought Hasselblad, not the other way around.
Can we get one of those threads ?
Not talking about technique (triggered triangle guy ls go away) but more like collection of work ?
Pic related, I'm about to get this one.

Tfw it's been a warm winter thus far.
>"When I shoot with my fisheye, I'm using angels that no one can even imagine."
>"If you dont know me, i'm predominantly a wedding photographer."
>"Someone came up with this rule that you can only shoot right handed."
>"The fisheye is the only lens you can buy that you don't have to look through it to make it work."
>"I use five angles, and within those five angles I use another five angles that no one can envision."
Wtf is this guy talking about.

Self gratifying /p/haggotry by the sounds of it. Just another of many that are legends in their own minds. It is a form of delusion that is taking over the world with the advent of the interbutz being the center of many peoples worlds.

So, my boss asked me to take corporate portraits of the 135+ employees for the company website.
I asked if I could rent some equipment, and he said no. So it's a t5i, on camera flash and some projector screens to act as backgrounds.
Any tips for doing this acceptably?

that means they will be web sized ant images aka. could be shot with a cellphone and look good anyways.
your boss is a jew and you should get the fuck out of that place. please tell me you are not doing this for free.
Turn your flash compensation all the way up, set the aperture to 5.6, and zoom to about 50mm equivalent
Do it uncle terry style

Anyone used Affinity Photo with Fuji RAWs? How does it perform in comparision to Lightroom? I was going to order Lightroom but Affinity could save me some bucks, sadly they don't have trial for windows users

Nobody buys Fuji to shoot in RAW
>>2993772
affinity is quite basic for a raw editor, whatever gear you use, be it fuji or sony.
>>2993772
The only software that works correctly with rafs is fujis own and iridient. Everything else looks like shit.
If you wanted to use professional software, sell the fuji, buy a sony.
what is this aesthetic called?
http://whitelight-collective.tumblr.com/
seems like it's snapshots of "vintage" looking subjects, with muted colors
I'm sure I've seen it done already somewhere else (e.g. Eggleston) but there's a different feel to this, a bit kitsch maybe?
pls no "hipster who found a film camera in the attic aesthetic" comments

What's wrong with Lo-Fi? No point reinventing the wheel.
most of those pictures are badly composed and boring because of that imo
I believe it's called formalism.
As far as i understand formalism it's all about the contrast of colours, shapes and space. If you want i could try and dump a bunch of instagrams that i feel fit into this category.

What's up /p/haggots? Happy cum guzzling new year.
Why can't we take two slow motion camera and film the same thing with them next to each other, except start one recording just after the other shoots it's first frame, then splice the footage together to get twice as slo motion footage?
