How to achieve this effect, /p/hotography?
>>3004734
Best guess - pinhole camera, and you'd better take this to FGT and ask about the development process.
No way of using

my 2008 mirrorless?

You can try a slow shutter speed and deliberate camera movement during the exposure, then oversaturate the colours, go nuts on contrast, then an extreme application of BW filters (red, green, blue, yellow etc), but you'll more likely get a pixelation/banding effect rather than that lovely grain and washout.
That said experiment and you could find yourself with some unexpectedly pleasant results.
Also someone else may have a better approach, but that's what I'd do.

don't want to afford a new dslr, too expensive (said the guy who spend 20€ for 24 pictures).

okay guys i'm lost. new to photography in general. say I want to do street photography set iso to auto (limit 3200) daytime shoot aperture F16-F22 night try to open it up to F3.5.
i'm lost when it comes to shutter speed.. what's a good shutter speed to be shooting handheld eliminating motion blur? I have pretty much everything else figured out.
By the way i'm to poor for a leica. shooting on a Fuji XPRO 1 with a XF 35 F 2
>>3004466
>set iso to auto (limit 3200)
>daytime shoot aperture F16-F22
Study more before pressing that shutter button . I sugest you to buy a film camera, you will be more selective since you're spending money per shot.
>what's a good shutter speed to be shooting handheld eliminating motion blur
Do you even know what you are asking? Motion blur depends on the subject too. You can shoot static subjects at 1/60 on a SLR 1/30 on a Leica and 1/15 on a leaf shutter camera.

The problem i'm having is i bought a x pro 1 (digital rangefinder) it has a shit auto focus system no phase detect only contrast.. I love the feel of the camera but it's very limiting to someone new to photography..
not sure if you're familiar with the fuji system but the x pro's are basically poor mans "leicas" so it's set up like a old film camera
Some of you are alright.
HOWEVER....
...the majority of you have no business even operating a cell phone camera.

2017 - 70 = 1947
Late 40s is not exactly the dark ages of photography. Still very impressive.
I don't know what's shocking you about it.
Consider the following:
70 years ago was 1947
in 1947 people were shooting large format
large format still eclipses what can be done with digital most of the time.
People act like this shit was small miracles, but photography regressed before it advanced and refined lens design.
How could I edit these photos to make them more interesting, artistic, or plain better? They're so boring but I feel like they were good opportunities. It would be amazing if I could find out what I did wrong here, or even if I could edit it as is.

Is there any way to salvage these for artistic values with Darkroom, VSCO, etc? I made the mistake of not shooting in RAW, but still.

Can someone help me out? I'll make it short, image from the left is my picture (in red cicle) in a instagram hashtag feed seen from my account, but to all other accounts its hidden (picture on the right) I tried from a friends account and a couple more and the picture.
Im getting 0 likes! When I used to get 100+ in the first 10 min using the same hashtags. Any idea why this is happening, its been a couple of weeks now.

A few questions
Is this occurring with every photo that you post?
Does it happen on every hashtag?
Does it happen with all of your new photos?
How many hashtags are you using?
Do you use bots on instagram?
Can your friend even see your page?
Give as much info as possible. It seems like there was some setting switched that made it so that your posts are hidden? Or something like that. I'll try to help out the best I can

Hi Kaz :^)
Hi /p/
Recommend me a flatbed scanner that doesn't trim the edges of the image!
I've tried two scanner/printer combos at my workplace, and both of them trimmed 1-2 mm from the edges when I aligned the paper to the corner of the glass, so I had to place it slightly inwards. This meant that I could not get the paper perfectly straight, and had to correct the slight rotation error via post-processing...
Also it would be nice if it didn't suffer from banding.

It would be for archiving album artwork from CD's.

You lucked into a potentially great shot but unfortunately missed focus.
Also crop that shit down. Nothing happening in 3/4 of the frame.
never posted here before (I am not a photographer I just did this as I was on vacation), but I took these photos with a Canon PowerShot A2300. I am traveling to Japan this summer and I was wondering as a non-professional (just someone who likes taking photos some times) is there a good compact camera (for travel) under $400 that will be better quality than this? i think these look ok but it has a bit of a blur to them.
