How the fuck did you manage that. Are these like scans of slide film or something?
Alright guys, rip me a new one. I want to know what's wrong and what's right with my photos. I've been doing this for about a month, but been lurking a while. These photos are the best (I think) from this week... I don't really have a certain style yet, or whatever.

holy shit. just saw a facebook contact posting that he was robbed of everything in his appartment. all cameras, all cards, bags with negatives, work in progress, computers, everything. he lost it all.
bone chilling shit.
have you taken measures for not getting stolen the fuck out, /p/? if so, which ones?
He's a fucktard if he didn't have insurance.
My measures consist of owning a 15$ film camera

How do you get over people acting weird when they see you with a camera. Any tips
Most people will tell you to carry around a smaller camera and be more discreet. I say do the opposite. Walk around with the biggest lens you've got, strap on as many useless accessories as you can. And just pretend like you know exactly what you're doing. People would be less likely to question you if they think you're a professional photojournalist or something as opposed to some random amateur taking photos for God knows what reason. Also print out some photography related business cards. if they get suspicious, just hand them a business card and it's free advertisement for your Instagram or whatever.
>>3010209
Sounds like a good idea honestly. Thanks
>>3010197
>>3010209
Why would they get suspicious?? What are you guys doing with your cameras?
My advice, don't worry about other people, just go out and shoot whatever you want. All they can do is just look at your weird and you'll be on your way.
As for the business card idea, that's just a good thing to have in general. But I think it would seem more odd to approach people supposedly looking at you in a strange way and hand them a card.
tl;dr, just shoot
Hey /p/,
Just been out with my camera. Some 101 stuff, on the hunt for contrasts.
How did I do?
Light was flat as balls. Kind of desaturated. Kind of nice.

Canon. Only because you listed it first.

>>3009271
get the panasonic g7cif you want videos
its relatevily cheap with lens kit and goes for £499 and has amazing 4k
So i send my super 8 film to get revealed and the majority of the footage came back like this... what should i do guys
Try to run everything through neatvideo, then usual stuff with levels, contrast, color balance, etc.
At the end add some noise, because without it picture would look unnatural and very soft.
>>3008912
That's ghastly. Was the film expired/exposed to a lot of heat?
>>3008912
Looks like it's been solarised by something. You could try convert to b&w and add a filter to counteract the red.
This is either yours or the labs fault
What camera should I buy?
I want one that can autofocus
>>3008252
if thats all you need, get a bloody phone
>>3008252
can't disposable cameras auto focus?
yes but if you buy an expensive looking camera, people really believe you are some kind of artistic person and you get invited to all the school event for free to take stupid pictures
Hey /p/
I just got a cool new camera but i live in a shitty ghetto so i'm scared to take pictures outside.
What do i do ?
>>3007732
don't worry, mirrorless cameras are the future -- a nikon strap around your shoulder is ghetto code for "my camera's obsolete technology, don't even bother"
Go somewhere where it isn't a shitty ghetto. It's not fucking rocket science.

Would it kill the mirrorless market?
There are nice lenses, built by the likes of Schneider and a few others, but they're relatively expensive, to the point where you start to wonder what the point even is. You can spend $300 on a complement of lenses and they're still attached to your iPhone.
Flush your snapshits down the Recent Photo Toilet, but be sure to resize first
