New to film, since around late December.
Got a Pentax Asahi Spotmatic and soon after I got myself a Zenit TTL. I have three lenses 28, 35 and 55mm.
So far i've shot about 13/14 rolls. Both cameras are without a working light meter, not sure if they can be fixed with ease or not.
Here are my favourites so far

Of course you all sent your best photos to the ZEISS Photography Award® 2017, right folks?
No, why would I bother with some gaywad competition?

Why? This is just a free way of them using people's photos in their ad campaigns. If they want my photos they can pay for them like everyone else.

Just get over it.
Not your fear of strangers.
Get over street photography. It's a dead genre with nothing left to say, pursued only by gear fetishists and by guys who are just moving out of their zoo photography phase and who feel like they need to be in danger to give their work some narrative heft.

Sorry I didn't really mean "street photography" just photography that happens to take place on the street. I should have said in public or something.

these were shot on kodak vision 3 500t, which is the same stock. first off, although its tungsten balanced, there's no need to filter when shooting in daylight since you can change the balance when you scan. second, I've heard that it can have pretty bad grain, weird colors, and lower speed in c41, since it's technically cross-processing. mine were developed in ecn-2 so I can't comment on how accurate these claims are but most pictures I've seen on flickr don't look too bad. It's not actually 800 speed but 500 and color negative film always prefers over exposure to underexposure, so err on the side of caution and shoot at 400 imo. I don't think the grain is too bad, my shots were shot on half frame and I still like the grain structure. if you like the stock, I'd recommend buying 500t in bulk, loading and processing it yourself in its native ecn-2 chemistry. better results and way, way cheaper, probably the cheapest way to shoot color film period.
Post just one digital photograph with good color.

too general a question. studio or outdoors/mobile stuff? what camera/format? which technique? what country are you in? (chem/supply laws/availability/prices)

Just a regular 4x5 tintypes in America. Indoors, but I can probably build a set up for outdoors myself.
Any beginner camera. With regular chemicals that are available online for like $30.
3k budget for a new body and lens. What do you buy and why?
I'll answer your question anyway but use the gear thread next time you fucking cuck.
Really we need to know what you plan on shooting but if I had 3k to blow I would get an a7ii and 55 1.8. You really cannot go wrong with this setup. 55mm is good for nearly anything and the a7ii is more than adequate for anything other than sports.

I just don't know if I'd be happy with the autofocus coming from an a6500
Opinions about the Xpro2?
I'm very attracted to it but I'm apprehensive about a few things
-Not full frame
-No touchscreen which would be useful for focusing, given Fuji's notorious slow AF
-no image stabilization
I don't care about no 4k becase I don't want it for video
What are your thoughts on it?

>-Not full frame
You won't miss it, and once you hold an xpro2 in your hand you'll realize that adding all that bulk needed for full frame would be a hindrance. low light performance, dynamic range and image quality are all top notch/
>-No touchscreen which would be useful for focusing, given Fuji's notorious slow AF
touchscreen won't help with the slow AF.
>-no image stabilization
This is true.
>>3017174
>crop sensor
My biggest problem with crops was mostly the fucked up focal lengths due to the crop factor, but luckily Fuji makes lenses specifically for Apsc so I don't think it's a huge disadvantage (although full frame would be better)
>no touchscreen
Idk about you but I don't think touchscreen focus has ever been a huge advantage, I think it's a feature you could at least live without
>slow af
I'd agree that Fuji af isn't on par with a lot of other companies but ask yourself; does whatever your shooting really require super fast autofocus and does 1/10th of a second really matter to you?
>no image stabilization
Yeah that sucks, image stabilization is awesome but do you really need it?
Maybe you could buy one and return it if you don't like it
>>3017179

>image quality is top notch
XTrans sensors produce shit color and you pretty much have to shoot in JPG to get anything worth while. Thus fucking you over for post process work.

Wew. The best camera is the one you have with you. Do you think 8x10 shooters get all bitchy about the size of those cameras? Lmao grow up.

Also lenses are autistic-ly priced. If you have any self worth you won't buy one of these pieces of shit.
