i bought a cheap shitty zoom mju for like 15 bucks i take that a spare battery and a bunch of ektar and portra

That's great for certain shots but i found have a prime was very limiting when traveling extensively.
Hi /p/ !
I would like to make a caffenol recipe for films, as I have few days to kill...
I found a receipe with baking soda but it doesn't work.
What I have here is :
-caustic soda
-baking soda
-sodium sulfite
-coffee
-vitamin C pure
Do you know any recipe with this ? Can't find washing soda in my town...
>>3042179
ask at a pharmacy.. they usually have it
or
heat your baking soda to 200°C[400°K] to turn it into washing soda..
>>3042199
Really ? Washing soda ? Are you sure about that ? Sounds really strange to me... One recipe is kind of working, and I'm trying to improve it with sodium silicate found washing powder. Hope it'll be the same reaction as washing soda.
>>3042179
Give me the volume of your dev tank and the film you want to develop in it and I'll recalculate my recipe for you. Also, what kind of coffee and how fresh is the ascorbic acid?
Imaging resource did an interview, then pulled it from the site a couple of hours later, catch up on the juicy gossip.
>Some sensors are reserved for Sony (Maybe this is why no one else is using their 42MP Full Frame sensor)
>Sony invested billions in sensor technology and lensesThe Full Frame market is the most stable, but Sony wants to grow it slowly“Before 42 megapixels… nobody needed such a resolution……but right now, people enjoy 42-megapixel cameras.”
>“Now we are focused on three essential factors. One is of course the resolution, and another is the sensitivity, and third is the speed.”Sports shooters target one millisecond in time so they might enjoy shooting 100-120fps
>There is room for AF speed and intelligence improvement
>Nikon/Canon use two systems for AF so their system can’t be intelligent. Our system can be intelligent because our sensor manages the AF.
>AF and Exposure could benefit from Intelligence (AI)The real advantage of mirrorless is direct information not the lack of a mirror.
>An early problem with mirrorless was getting the data off the chip fast enough. Now the problem is interpreting all the data.
>Sony a7RII mainly brought in customers form other systems, but Sony hopes to growthe ILC market beyond current DSLR/ILC users.“I have said, too, that amateurs, people who don’t consider themselves photographers, like moms and dads, they need more advanced technology than the pros, because they’re the ones who more than anything need smart cameras and intelligent sensors. So maybe that will come.
>”Full frame is their primary area
>The price difference between Full Frame and APS-C could get closer together with time.
>“I want to show our technology. The technology can change the future.

>Right now, I think American people still think the DSLR structure with mirror and shutter is best. But the technology can change that kind of way. And I think only Sony can do it. So I want to explain why the future is changing. And sensor is one aspect, and the lens is another one. Of course, intelligence is another aspect, but there are many technologies we have, so these things I want to tell your users. And of course [by combining] these technologies we create new cameras. So I want to show you the new camera…mirrorless can take a photo that the even professional DSLRs couldn’t capture.”
So there we have it, fuji, pentax and nikon can't compete in image quality unless they start their own fab. Sony are miles ahead of the competition when it comes to innovation.
How can anyone catch up?
>>3042126
Sony are ahead because they are perhaps one of the few companies in the world that can not only make digital sensors suitable for digital photography that are up to modern standards, but are also capable of "fully vertical" product design; meaning everything from research and design, to manufacturing, to distribution, can all be done in-house.
Not only that, but they are a multi-purpose sensor fab, and make chips from everything including cellphones on up to medium format, so any new developments in one area will trickle down or up to every other product. Who would have thought that BSI would be implemented in a full-frame sensor so quickly?
Practically every other camera company except Panasonic and Canon have to buy their sensors from someone else, which is usually Sony, although Leica have chosen CMOSIS. This means they may order custom designs or make modifications to some aspects like the CFA, but are not in any way in charge of technology advancement.
This is not a bad thing by any means, if sensor design were to be handled strictly by camera companies, we would still be stuck with 11.5 stops DR on our digital cameras like Canon had for a decade. It's because Sony has a dedicated sensor design department that can focus on making the best chips possible that we got a disruption in the form of the D800 way back, and now everyone has to follow or buy their chips. As far as I know, they haven't directly put anyone out of business yet, so the competition is still on.

For me personally, the black makes it look like a cheap toy. The lack of contrast reminds me of a toy out of a cereal box.
>>3042016
Are you talking about just in general? I only posted that photo to set the theme of the thread.
>>3042015
I love black bodies (Nikon fe and D7000) for up close street for stealth.
Is there a camera below $1000, that isn't a DSLR, that has XLR mic inputs so all sound can be recorded straight to the camera? What is the best in this price range?
I've shot with a DSLR for years and I'm over it, it's too much of a hassle.
I don't really care too much about interchangeable lenses if the cam comes with a zoom lens. The biggest things I'm looking for are direct sound, battery life, maybe low light performance too but not expecting too much in that regard. Never shot RAW or S-Log before but I assume it isn't too hard to colorize. Thanks.
>>3041943
>Filmmaker
>direct sound
Can't spend the 3 seconds syncing it in post? Or is this for personal use? In which case you don't need external sound get yourself a $700 camcorder.
>>3041949
>Can't spend the 3 seconds syncing it in post?
It's more of a pre-editing deal. I'd just like to save the time it takes to organize it all since I'm doing everything myself.
>>3041951
Syncing audio is literally the shortest job in production. All you gotta do is clap.
If this is too much for you, you'd be better off with a pleb vidya, like a gopro.
>he uses porta instead of fuji proH
thats because portra is better
proH compares with the old worse generation of portra
>>3041869
>portra NC/VC/T
>bad
kys faggot.
I stopped using that shit with the death of VC. New Portra is forgettable mediocrity.
Can anyone orient me on how to achieve this look?
i really like this exposure and colorization, what can i do while shooting/in postproduction to get near this?

What do you want us to tell you? Those photos are just snapshits and your film is grainy as fuck. Honestly looks like some instagram filter rather than actual film.
>asymmetric encryption in conflict zones
>continuous uploading of pictures
>normies can download filters and upload directly to instagram while looking like a hipster
>ARM processors are dirt cheap
Why isn't professional cameras running android a thing?
Because Canikonsonyfuji want to lock you into their ridiculous upgrade scheme where they unlock features that should cost nothing.
It'd guess because it requires giving up too much control over the camera's functionality. You don't want to have a bug introduced because you're dependent on another company's software.
>>3041810
Great idea!
>something happens
>switching on the camera
>waiting fucking 2 minutes for it to boot up and log into Google and finish updates
>moment is gone
>everything is gone
>at least I can play angry birds on my camera
Even if it is in stand by you will need to do the arbitrary connect the dots to unlock your system.
I take it back, it is a bloody hideous idea!
Why does digital seem to have such a problem with rendering highlights? Especially in night scenes?
