Any guesses as to how these were done?
ya they stood in front of a bigass lit background in a studio. it's easy. Just get a bunch of lamps behind a good quality backdrop white cloth and illuminate it like you're at the damn dentist with the light in your eyes, and then take a picture.

photoshop, lots and lots of photoshop.
Found a small box of slides from 1955 on my latest antique shop run. I scanned them, and thought I'd share some of the results.
Starting with a shot from the 50's army service. This stuff is pretty rare to come by, as you'd imagine few servicemen in the 50's Finland could afford anything other than a box camera.
You'll never look as dank as the cine guy here.
Next up are some photos from the guy's vacation to Bangkok, before the time Thailand turned into a disgusting tourist hellhole.
I'm new to /p/. Are there any memes I should be aware before I start posting here?
Nah just buy a Sony A7II and you're all set
as with all boards all trips are memes and hold no relevant information and only post to gain attention.

Sony cucposters endlessly shitting up the board.
Fuji cucposters posting their zombie people and jpegs everywhere.
This board might as well be film photography general.
Endless gear fagging but no pictures.
Is there any pasta on film dev? I learned it sometime ago but forgot the steps. Halp.

i'm going to an ISMA race this weekend, and i want to get some long exposure shots of cars passing through a corner. any tips?
>>3069963
I envy you OP. Post best pics desu.
get an olympus and use the live composite mode. it will expose the scene correctly at first and then will only add stuff that is brighter than the initial exposure (e.g. car lights, moving stars etc.)

Maybe this meme of field shot I got in the city at night. I got it at 75mm eqv. on a Nikon d3200 handheld, so the only reason I kept it despite being a snapshot was my amazement I got that sharpness handheld on a prime.

Paterson.
I built myself a light/flash stick
(Monopod + radio controlled flash)
However I'm not sure which diffuser to get for it.
This is basically what my stick looks like currently.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnyiQgAHcQA
The guy uses a Cloud Lambency diffuser it seems like.
Having a diffuser that shoots light everywhere is going to be quite beneficial, as I'm moving around at events and taking pictures fast.
Often I will not aim the flash correctly as I'm framing my shots quickly
So now I don't know which diffuser to put on my off camera flash.
Either a cloud lambency, the clear lambency, or maybe some meme like GARY FONG LIGHTSPHERE?
Pic related, the stick from the video.

I discovered this board by accident 3 years ago. Somehow you guys sparked my interest in photography. I quit my job a year later and started studying photography, these are some of the pictures of my last term project.
I wouldn't have taken them without you and my life changed for the better after picking up a camera, thank you.
