His Photographing the World series is pretty awesome. I learned a lot about post processing from his videos. Seems like a chill personality too.

No, I'm a transsexual and I cannot get erections
but this is a real problem for the male photographer community, and a key reason why most working fashion photographers are homosexuals
>>3078574
stop posting, Kurwa.
Also, girls also tend to get horny in some situations and screw up shots. But you shouldn't get an erection while shooting a hot girl or a guy. You just failed at photography
>>3078545
yes. usually the first time during the shoot that she has her clothes off. after that i'm focusing on the shot so it just goes away
How can one achieve the nolan IMAX 70mm look like in pic related on a full frame sony a7? not video just stills obviously
vsco or film presets? is there anything more to it? it just feels so much cozier
>>3075119
You can apply VSCO presets to B-Roll
perhaps by shooting scope
>>3075119
>70mm
>on a full frame sony
Joking aside though not all of The Dark Knight was filmed in IMAX, which is common for IMAX movies. The IMAX footage is not as as wide as 3:2. The image you posted is 16:9 so it is most likely just regular old cinema. It could be a cropped IMAX frame but I doubt it. If I remember my Dark Knight correctly, that is not one of the IMAX scenes.
The aesthetic from an ultra fast wide angle lens then the image was graded. Real cinema lenses can be really fast even when they are super wide. I'm talking 12mm T1.3. I don't see many ultra fast wide lenses on Sony's line-up because like all the other camera manufacturers they are for consumers not pros. Your best bet is whatever is widest and fastest on the Sony. Maybe a 25mm f2 or 20 f1.8. You just have to make sure the lenses are sharp wide open. If you don't have a fast wide lens and are not willing to buy them then you can try the Brenizer method (aka bokeh panorama) for subjects that don't move. For color just find a cold and saturated preset. They are everywhere, even instagram has them I think. It's not going to be as good but it will get you close.
I think you are more interested in the aethetics than the technical side of it but if you want to read some interesting technical stuff you can try this:
http://www.theasc.com/ac_magazine/August2012/DarkKnightRises/page1.php
Unfortunately it's for Dark Knight Rises not the first one but it is still interesting info.
TL:DR ultra fast wide angle + cool and saturated grading

It was always a gimmick, one with limited applications.
no one understood it.
Looks like an ergonomic cluster fuck.
Is a career in photography still an option /p/?
Or are they just earning through those workshops?
Planning to buy pic related and make a living as a pro photog.
Vanity industries will always want photographers, if you can stand to do that shit day in day out
>>3078747
What do you mean by Vanity industries?
>>3078745
dont buy shit.
go look for job as a photo/studio assistant.. learn and start from the bottom. You can borrow the studio and learn your craft and also learn from the photographers who you are assisting, they can give you advice and tips on lighting and composition an such. If they trust you, you dont have to buy gear.. you can even borrow your equipment for your own leisure.
http://konost.com/rangefinder/
So what do you guys think of this? Something worth considering if using M lenses but can't afford an actual Leica body? Or pointless when you can just use an adapter on a mirror-less body?
For me, its a question of whether or not that viewfinder is an actual rangefinder, or just a rangefinder-esque viewfinder like the Fuji Xpro.

So I know nothing about cameras and lenses and went to go repair a lense that broke for my sister; she put the strap on wrong so it fell off when I put it on my neck and landed on the lense on the fall. The rotating thing on the front fell off, but I remember attaching it to the camera when it was broken and the lense mechanisms still rotated when trying to focus on an image - just the front part was off.
Anyways so I took it to a repair store so they could glue the top part back onto the bottom, and when I came to pick it up they told me the electronics were fried.
Did they fuck something up? I remember the electronics were working fine when I brought it there. I'm fucking confused on how this could have happened.

It means they don't want to fix it. Fix it yourself, get it fixed somewhere else, buy a new one, or forget about it.
Learn to read and learn to think for yourself.
>>3074968
Nah I will never forget about it.
You see, if someone fucks me over I have a need to destroy their lives, in case their business.
I asked a different photography forum and they told me they most likely fucked it up by applying heat to seal the parts together and fried a chip.
I've already set up a plan to destroy their business, I also read the sticky and should have posted this on a gear thread.
Thanks for your input.

Either way, no. It's a common site in Japan. I wouldn't be surprised to find a statistic saying that at any point during rush hour, 1/3 of the people in a train are sleeping over there, especially on the busy lines.
