I want to build a log cabin and neet in the woods, I don't care about electricity, I just want to reject society and supporting it, and live on my own. where can I do that?
You need to buy a large piece of wooded land and build in the center of it. For electricity you'll want min 350gal propane tank and with that you need a propane generator. Consider installing a thankless water heater to cut back on your electricity usage. No fridge! Cure all your meats/can your vegetables. install a wood burner stove for heat in the winter. Water? Hire a drilling company to drill you a well but honestly I'd just pay for a water hook up or gather your water from a local spring.
Have some kind of income coming in to keep up with the cost to maintain your cabin and necessities. You won't be such a neet living that kind of lifestyle because there's a lot of work involved when to comes to being self sustained. You're much better off getting on autism bucks and living out the rest of your neet years in a run down apartment
you misunderstand, I can't work with people, I don't want to, I don't want to even see them. What kind of income? I can't do anything that would generate income, but I could survive in the wilderness
I genuinely hope you can make it work. I understand the need to avoid social situations. If you can work for any length of time to save money though, do it. If nothing else, you'll want to buy shoes and clothing. Synthetic materials are hard to find in nature. Your best bet is to buy a small trailer and live out of that, because the odds of just disappearing into the woods and not being found is pretty slim. If you look like you're just out camping, the worst they'll do is tell you you've been there too long and you need to move on. If you build a cabin on someone else's or gov land you face jail time, losing the cabin etc.
You could sell firewood or dumpster dive for scrap metal or haul off old cars nobody wants. I believe its almost impossible to live without some kind of human interaction. If it could be done surely someone would have done it by now or maybe they have any we just haven't heard of them?
Avoid as much as possible, but inevitably you'll run into somebody.
If you're hunting or fishing, not only will you still need to resupply which will cost money, but you'll need licenses as well, or risk getting arrested, and that'll be very close quarters with very undesirable people. You need to do something for money before you start this.
You should be asking how to fix your social problem instead of running from it. If you continue the path your on you'll only end up as some crazy homeless person or if you're lucky you'll be locked up in a state hospital
People like us fall through the cracks, OP. We're not meant for this life because we're not machines like everyone else.
I seek the same answers, and have been considering an hero as well.
You might actually have it better than me. I'm trapped in a shitty job that I need to keep to feed myself. You seem to be able to afford a NEET lifestyle, which means you have the time to undergo a training program. It's very likely you qualify for a free pre-apprenticeship program that can lead to a high-paying trades job, and unlike me, you have the time to do it without being out on the street.
>I've seen doctors, therapists, exposed myself, taken medication
Because those aren't meant to help you. You're being controlled by the medical jew. I was once like you. I was a seeing therapist and a psychiatrist. I had tried every pill in the book and nothing seemed to work. Answering the telephone was like a nightmare come to life. Going to the store? Fuck no that was impossible. I was so socially fucked I didn't leave my room to shower or shit. On the 2nd week I actually had to leave my room to go to the e.r because I was constipated from holding my shit in for 2 weeks. the trip to the e.r was so nerve racking I thought about jumping out of the car on the way.
I finally just faced my fears. I embraced the ideal of being social. I took small steps like going to the store. I didn't speak to any I just went in and purchased something and then I finally realized these people don't give a shit about me, why did i ever think they did? It took a while but I finally quit the doctors and meds and joined society. Everyone is different but don't let it control you.
Society supports you, not the other way around. This is a concern because it is untenable.
Do not get a cabin, its useless.
Acquire a tribe and live as nomads. Follow the deer.
This is what I want to do, but I don't know where to begin. I don't want to go and live on my own, but I don't know how to convince others to come with me when I don't even know if it works.
I'm on the verge of getting kicked out and I can't even talk to people to get a job
yeah, the facing your fears bullshit does nothing, that's what I meant by exposure
even if you convinced people you'd be arrested and plopped right back into your position of government dependence and support
Holy shit, this thread is the most depressing thing I think I've ever read, you guys are on /out/ but never leave the house? OP how much outdoors stuff have you done? Like camping, hiking, fishing, etc?
So you have no experience living outdoors, you won't work a job to get cash together to buy some decent gear/supplies, you want to put in zero effort and just run off into the wilderness without preping and again with no experience. If your only choices are this or killing yourself, you might want to end it painlessly as dying out in the wilderness due to injury, exposure, starvation, dehydration or animal attack is no way to go. I'm not sure you are mentally strong enough for /out/.
All this stuff is fantasy, especially if you intend to do it with zero experience or knowledge living or even doing anything outdoors. I get that it's a tempting idea to just run away and leave it all behind but you're idealising it in an extremely immature and naive way. It's not going to solve your problems, and the problems you'll face out in the wilderness will be a thousand times worse. You said you've run the whole treatment system and it didn't work for you, which is fine. It doesn't work for everyone. Try to understand why you feel the way you do. Get some clarity. Go outside and breathe for a while. I get the feeling you're pretty young. Just give it time. Stop thinking about 'the system' and 'society' and shit like that. Take it one day at a time.
All this crap about going off the grid is stupid, dangerous and extremely immature.
How the fuck do you want to feed yourself? You'd need to farm, hunt, and maintain your tools, dishes, etc. Where would you get new material from when your pan or pot breaks? How would you repair it? What about clothes?
One man alone can't do all that. There's a reason man always lived in groups.
>everything it means to be human
Oh please do go into detail what you mean.
Where are you from, op? Australia here. I feel the same way. I've paid with welfare/my parents money to do a course over the next 6 months. But I know I won't make friends there. I don't know if I'll even finish it. I just want to drive away and never come back. I really just want to go off the grid. I've wanted it for years. I can't live in society. I don't want to work in this system. I'm fine with working hard for myself though. I want to grow all of my food. But I have no money to start. So considering I can't do it with no money, I think I'll just go exploring nature eventually. But I'll never be able to save up much on welfare, maybe a few months food. And I don't even have the other gear I'd need to camp indefinitely. I'd have to resort to illegal activity to sustain myself because they'd cut my welfare if I wasn't around to full fill my obligations for it.
There will be a few MGTOW scholarships available for people like OP but not for a few more years.
Keep the faith anon, you can survive this world a bit longer.
Insufficient data for a meaningful answer.
the only way you're doing that anywhere outside of alaska is illegally
but you don't need a cabin
you can just build your own tent.. i know rich people who live in tents as their permanent home
buy some land, or just set up on public land somewhere.
you can pack an entire portable operation with you in a fucking compact car.
tent, military wood stove, solar + wind electricity + portable water heater + food + misc. supplies... you can spend a whole winter being neet out in the woods, then go back to moms house when you're done playing davey crocket
I meant fantasy for OP specifically. A lot of people can and do live out on their own, but OP has no experience or skills or equipment and his motives for doing so are shit. By the first week he'll want to go home.
I don't know how to process this thread. WTF is wrong with you people? This NEET movement is absurd. I'm probably more fucked up than you are. I mean I'm so fucking asocial it's pathetic but I understand concept of work to get what I need and excel there. Basically by spending a bit of time in the system it allows you to spend MOST of your time outside of the system.
>then go back to moms house when you're done playing davey crocket
Hey op, if you want I'll abandon society with you and we can try to mgtow it. I was planning on it in a few months anyway and having an extra hand could be helpful.
Unless your dead set on doing it alone that is...
Can't we just be antisocial fucks together though? It'd be easier..
I'm in BC Canada atm...
Empathy with this thread.
NEET for five years
drunk/stoned hiking in college
dropped out one credit left to graduate
living in dyke aunts' mother-in law apartment for the second time in three years (they left our red state for lib-land ten years ago)
Two years ago year couldn't muster a conversation, just ate raw roadkilled venison, honey and coconut oil, slept and read nutty healing shit online while coming to terms with being an autist
only way to afford food i deserve is to forage or grow it
tons of gourmet food in the wild (meat, greens, acorns)
realized i could provide something people wanted
had a reason to interact
made money selling foraged food to fancy restaurants; pruning apple trees
people around here buy land with QTs and live in temporary structure till they can build timber frame
planning to live in a diy yurt in a hippie's back 40 during spring
work in gardens/paint houses/wash windows/grow shiitake mushies while saving for cheap land
shit's getting better each year
best wishes OP and others
Hope you all find things you like and get by sharing them with others
I honestly hope people are still on this thread.
I want to do the same thing, but here's the catch, I get 12000 in student loans by the end of these week, give me a budget plan anons, I'm going off the grid!
Why don't you just start living like you have nothing to lose? Do you still have some sort of inexplicable need to maintain your own identity even though you want to reject society? Start taking risks, be on a constant look for opportunities, there are other ways to reject society than not being a part of it - it does not need to define you either. Someday you just might get luck or at least die trying.
A wageslave is several hundred times mentally stronger than OP.
OP would just die in a couple hours, or the most likely -- shit his pants and go back home. If he's taken irreversible measures, then he'd become a homeless surviving off street charity.
Both those fates are far, far worse than those of a "wageslave".
You could become my apprentice, im starting up a small remote cabin setup out west NSW, you would help harvest the crops, and in return be used as my sex slave, raped 2-3 times a day for a roof over your head and secure land.
>That guy who loathes being alone with his own mind so much that he thinks being alone would make someone "go insane"
How do you break a pan or a pot? I mean seriously are you superman or do you get cookware that's made of glass?
> maintain your tools, dishes
These are not arduous tasks for the most part, modern metelurgy and manufacturing have created tools that will outlast their owners with only mild maintenance. Also I don't get what you mean by dishes.
And clothes I really don't see how this is much of an issue. I've worn the same clothes for nearly a decade now with very little degradation, and they are mostly thin punjab shit. Even use outdoors wont see good quality cloth that much worse for the wear, and maintenance is usually just a needle and thread.
The only legitimate concerns you have raised are food concerns, and how well OP can live off of that really depends on the land and climate. Substance farming may be work, but it is by no means impossible for a healthy male. Of course if OP stocks up on various amenities before divorcing himself from society it will be that much easier.
