>Preventive state of calamity decreed
>Still mid August and even higher temperatures foresee for this weekend
>+60 deaths
>Hundreds injured

What an amazing clusterfuck. Honestly, the only place that is not burning right now is the Atlantic other than that we're a massive barbecue.
Also, thank you Spaniardbros, huge assistance you have been giving to us, if weren't for you it would even be much worse. If NK decides to test an ICBM please feel free to use us as target and end this joke of a country.
Sorry for the rant, /out/.
>+90 people arrested for setting criminal fires alight
Why do they do it?
>>1083226
>Why do they do it?
A small % are legit retards that should be in a mental health facility, the rest are often revenge, and people who directly benefit from the wood and firefighting industry. It's not unheard of having fireman setting fires.
>>1083229
>It's not unheard of having fireman setting fires
Controlled burns, right? RIGHT?
How are y'all homeless anons holding up? Do anything fun recently?
my plug had some fentnyl cut into my h, slammed up this morning and just got to starbucks, not a bad day
>>1082923
I just got done masturbating all over the sink and faucet handles in a Burger King bathroom. Didn't even wash my hands when I was done. I went right back to eating a whopper that some old lady bought me.
>>1082923
Question: if you're homeless then how are you using the internet?
Hey /out/
Hitting the lake tomorrow and lure color has always been a difficult selection for me. The conditions tomorrow will be low 80F, sunny, in heavy green stained water, Lake max depth is 15 feet (small man made lake). Very high pressured.
What colors should I be tossing morning to afternoon? Size Im not concerned about; since its so high pressured Ill be throwing medium sized lures at a very slow space, either carolina or dropshot.
>>1082921
First, please check the catalog. The fishing general was literally right next to this thread on the first page.
>>1082857
Second, this time of year in those water conditions, I'd try
-weightless 4" or 5" senko
-dropshot with something like a Roboworm, Z-drop, Dreamshot, Finesse Worm, etc
-T-rigged craw or 4" lizard
-topwater frog or punch rig around heavy grass or lily pads
-football jig or swim jig
Fish slow, fish deep if you don't get there right at dawn.
As for colors:
-morning dawn
-black&blue
-baby bass
-watermelon red
-green pumpkin
-brown
I just moved to Bellevue, what's there to do here? I like fishing and would like to try out hunting but I've never been
>>1082880
Boating on Lake Washington is nice. There's also quite a few places to hike in the surrounding cities like in Issaquah. Marymoor park is a nice park in the north east part of the city in the Overlake area.
Iowa? Washington? Be more specific.

>>1082852

>>1082765
I wonder if the person who made this thread already knew the answer
>>1082765
>>I stack em where you pooshies coulnt never get too anyways
Oh look, a website.
My friend was out climbing cliffs earlier and found this. Googling yielded no results. What is it?
>>1082700
Brown recluse eggs.
It's some kind of fruit that came from a short plant that had 2 stalks each ending with three broad leaves. It was found in the Western New York region. The size is about 5.5 centimeters tall.
>>1082700
It's the immature fruit of a jack-in-the-pulpit.
Any surfers here?
What's in your quiver?
Where's your go to spot?
All I have is a 9'6'' Magic Model by Walden
When I'm home I go to C Street in Ventura, and Bolsa Chica in Huntington Beach when I'm away at school
I just started, been like 3 times now
Skated a lot as a kid so it came pretty easy. Riding a 5'9 currently.
Favorite spot so far is San Onofre
>>1082600
You're starting out on a 5'9"? Godspeed dude
Some of my favorite local spots: San onofre, Swamis, San Eleijo, and Blackies
I ride almost exclusively a 9'9" longboard I shaped a few years back, but also an 8'0" Simmons inspired flat bottomed board I call "the sidewalk"
I really liked a 7'4" takayama egg at topanga, but the crowd is a bunch of faggots there
I'm looking for some essential /out/ book recommendations. Primarily non-fiction, like wilderness how-to's, backpacking best practices, and general outdoor guides. I remember some of the Boy Scout books from childhood were actually great reads. Relevant memoirs are acceptable too. I'm not looking for what an /out/ neophyte might consider niches or subgenres such as hardcore survivalism, bushcraft, and prepping (not meant as an insult).
I realize there's already a thread for this going here >>1080056 , but the OP is looking for bushcraft stuff.
Whatever you post, try to make sure your recommendation is great quality.
THANKS!
A copy of any military training guide would be good. I found a few in second hand bookstores when I was younger. Probably what led me into joining years later.
>>1082243
Good idea going into a used bookstore. I bet there's a ton of /out/ books in there.
Mentioned this one in the other thread as well, but Ray Jardine's Trail Life is a litteral goldmine.
Hey /out/, where do I find really dark places? I looked using a couple dark spot maps but they seem out of date and shitty. I live in virginia, and I plan on making a day or two out of going to a place to see what the sky actually looks like. Thanks
You can pretty much forget it unless a plane flight is involved.
>>1082210
Interesting... if that's how it is it's how it is, i guess. Thanks
>>1082205
Try anywhere in Nevada that isn't Reno or Vegas
Do i have to go outside in a place like this?
I don't think this is the correct board for this. Try /k/
>>1082152
Yeah, looks more like /k/ or /skout/ territory
>>1082135
Looks comfy as fuck, way fewer people around.
Anyone been on an RV cross country? Anyone own one?
I am increasingly obsessed with the idea of doing this next summer to the major National Parks.
Are you 70?
>>1081864
Are you retarded?
>>1081877
Are you retarded? RVs are for old people and pussies afraid of sleeping in tents
Help me locate Juggernaut, largest coastal Redwood known publicly.
http://famousredwoods.com/juggernaut/
I wanna find Hyperion but part of me feels like I should just leave it well alone.
>>1081652
That not Hyperion, you can find the location of Hyperion online at famousredwoods.com and the locaton of hyperion even has a photo sphere next to it on google maps if you look at the location
Post about what ever the hell you want about lightweight backpacking or whatever the hell I don't care.
Hammocks are gayer than your dog
Hey /out/, I'm not from here but I need some mycologist help.
These giant shrooms are growing in my lawn. I've tried to identify them through internet references, but it's not helping.
So far I think I've narrowed it down to two... One is delicious and has recipes I can try. The other is deadly poisonous.
If it's edible I'm gonna eat it.
The biggest one is wider than my hand, friggin huge. It's soft on top and has little scales. Spores appear to be brown or dark green, I can't really tell.
Underside
Post a spore print and I can give a solid answer
