Hello /out/. For a while, I've been dealing with depression. I've decided to take one of those 'spiritual journeys'. Sometime this week I'm going to go out in the woods and live there for a few days. What should I bring, if anything. How to do a spiritual journey?
>>920637
step1:
>acquire some high quality marijuana
>acquire mushrooms or ayahuasca (optional, but would help greatly)
>think
>relax, just think, breathe, reminisce
>look at the stars, and start seeing youself from a birds view, zooming out through the galaxy, realizing that all problems are relative and are relatively unimportant but just hinder your happiness
>enjoy your life and smoke some more weed as you're coming down
//mdma is also good, just don't forget to drink enough water
>>920640
I'd love to do this, but I can't get drugs. I will definitely write this down and do it when I can. Anything else I can do without them?
I saw your post on /b/
So a lot of times when people have severe depression they want to do something extreme with their lives. Like they wanna go on a cross country road trip or go mountain climbing or something. Anything to beat the hopeless feeling. Now when i was your age i didnt really have depression of any kind to be honest, but ill tell you that as you get older you will regret the mistakes you made when you were younger and you will regret some of the things that brought you to where you are today. The only thing you can do is start TODAY. Not tomorrow. Youre still young. You have so much opportunity. But what are you going to do with it? A spiritual journey might give you a different outlook but usually no one thing will change your life like that. Its a process and you have to respect that
Sorry for the very late update guys. I just emailed everyone on the /out/ Secret Santa matchup list. So if you filled out the google form, I will be pairing you, even though it'll be a late round. I just want to double check that everyone previously interested is still on board, so please reply back to my email and I'll try to get you guys paired up tomorrow night.
Anyone still wanting to join up, this is your last minute chance. The link is in the OP image, if you still have issues email me and I can send it directly.

I am excited for my MGTOW related gift basket!

Sorry for the late updates folks. I sent out an email to everyone that originally signed up to verify they were still interested. Of those that replied, I have paired up and sent target emails to everyone but 3 people that I'm still coordinating matches for. Everyone else is good to go.
just sent off a pretty good package to flordia!! enjoy gave you one thing that was exactly what you asked for, another was (what i think is) a better version of what you asked for the the third something that i hope comes in handy for you!!.
>tfw too embarrassed to go outside
>>917716
That's not embarrassment, that's mental illness.
See a doctor.
>>917716
Why embarassed?
>>917722
You don't know that. Maybe he was in a horrible fire or something and is self-conscious about his melty face.
>>917716
you can do it anon i believe in you
So, /out/ are these worth buying? Thinking about getting a pair.
>>917474
For creek shoes and post hike camp shoes, hell yeah!
I wear Merrell sandals all summer long at work.
I would not hike, run or fight in them.
>>917474
get sum chacos u cheap nigger
You're walking on the edges of your land when you see a young man with a backpack full of stuff approaching you.
>"Excuse me sir, but would you allow me to pitch my tent on your property for tonight? I'm a traveler from Europe."
How do you respond?
(I'll be traveling for a while as a vagabond, and I'm counting on the kindness of strangers to let me camp on the brim of their properties.)
I've done this many places around Europe, no problem at all.
Would like to hear experiences from people abroad about this. I've heard that land owners in the US are generally very protective about other people "tresspassing their property".

Shoo, hippy.
Why is the only public land in Nevada? I live East of the Mississippi and I don't have any options for camping except at overpopulated camp grounds
>>923845
Goes back to the Civil War. Our silver was needed to help fund the Union war efforts. In order to be accepted, Nevada had to give almost all of the land to the government.
This is also the reason behind the Bundy stuff that happened awhile back.
Alaska has lots of public land.
>>923845
Whats blm? It tried google & all i get is #blacklivesmatter.
Has anyone from /out/ been or hiked through this state? Tell me everything you guys know about Montana
>>923758
We're full
>>923769
This. The state has gone to garbage since liberals started showing up. You might as well visit Colorado instead or Oregon.
Yep, just did a trip from California through ID, MO, OR, and NV last year. Like most rural states it's quite beautiful but full of worthless, annoying locals that will never do anything with their pathetic lives and whine about everything. Fortunately none of these people make it past the easily accessible by car areas so once you make it about 1/8th mile past the trailheads it's great, and you will only run into people from successful states/Europeans. Glacier is the obvious place to go but I found some nice stuff around Polson (Flathead leak is really underrated), Libby, and Bozeman.
Greetings /out/
I'm planning a trip from Mongolia to Ukraine in June 2017. Would any of you have any recommendations for equipment or care to join? Ill be spending some time in Mongolia then catching a train from Ulan Bator to Kviv. This costs nearly $2k and takes about a month, lots of day stops in Russian cities and villages
Pic related my gear
>>923611
Judging by the gear you appear to be retarded. Good luck!
>>923613
What makes you say that?
>>923611
>Shitty flask
>Shitty nylon bag
>Old fashioned camera(?) box
>Tiny knife in sheath, curved, probably useless
Come on, now.
Sup /out/. Was planning on doing my first ever trip to the outback. Ive read plenty of articles and learned a bunch of shit but I wanted to know if there was anything I should know particularly.
>Take enough food
>Take enough water
>Take enough fuel
Otherwise travel as light as you possibly can.
>>923588
Well first let me as you these questions:
>Where are you planning to go
>Are you sticking to the main roads/highways
>What time of the year
>Are you driving (rhetorical)
>What are you driving
>Whats your camping set up
Of course this >>923593 is relevant as well but its a bit more than that. Overall you just need to NOT be retarded. Like I said though, Id be able to give you better advice if you can answer these questions.
>>923644
>Where are you planning to go
I thought Id play it safe for my first time and just drive from Port Augusta to Alice Springs. I was initially planning to drive from Vic to the outback (live in Horsham) but that idea now seems pretty retarded (or not viable at the moment).
>Are you sticking to the main roads/highways
Yeah Im limiting myself to the Stuart Highway (though I'll obviously do a bit of exploring but no serious offroading).
>What time of the year
Probably winter. I dont want to be there on peak season with fucking gooks everywhere and all the rest/camp spots taken over by hordes.
>Are you driving (rhetorical)
>What are you driving
>Whats your camping set up
Borrowing out a 4WD camper from a mate. Manual of course. Its not a very flashy one though but it'll do the job. its similar to pic related just without all the luxuries (fridge etc). It does have a UHF radio and storage so thats good.
Why does everyone here hate California? I'm an /out/ist from the San Diego area and consider myself relatively inoffensive - maybe it's because I was a boy scout? Can I get a list of shitty behaviors to avoid?
>>923332
I am mostly because I'm going camping in Colorado this summer and don't want to accidentally piss someone off
>>923333
nice quads
don't foist your ideas/politial affiliations on anyone
most of what people form CO/TX/OR seem to be concerned with is people moving to their state from CA and voting ultraliberal.
>camping in CO and don't want to piss anyone off
don't shit up the campsite or tell everyone how great kombucha and tofu is
>>923341
So be a decent human, got it. Awesome, thanks.
Is there a job where you just fly people around in the wilderness
>>923167
I live in Canada, we got lots of reserves and towns up north, during the summer most stuff is brought in by pilot as there are no winter roads over the lake. There is also a plane base about 3 hours north of here that takes people up to the north of the province and to the yukon
the only destination they don't honor is outbound to the mountains of mordor for some reason, but they will pick you up there and bring you back
Millenials like you are so fucking hopeless.
What do you do when you see people keeping undersized fish ? Do you become the outdoors Chris Hanson?
>>923126
I mind my own damn business and secretly wish for a game warden to show up and start checking licenses and stringers.
>>923126
always fucking illegals and I'd bet unlicensed. I've only once seen a white dude do it and when I said something after he pulled out his 3rd undersized striper the response was "I gut hooked it" I dialed Environmental Police, they were there in less than 4 minutes and took all his gear and him in cuffs. Towed his truck off, don't know if they kept that. Stupid fucker.
>>923127
You're as bad as they are then.
Hello from California!
If I respond will you promise to stay in your own fucking state?
If I respond you promise to show your tits with a timestamp or fuck off?
>>923013
That's not nice -____-
Anyone have experience with geigerrig hydration systems?
I went to a gun show and a fat guy was jumping on one of these to show how durable they were, but I didn't buy because I haven't seen this flexible material used before and I'm not sure if it's safe to drink out of. I don't want xenoestrogens giving me mantits.
Are they safe? What's the best system for as little chemical leeching as possible?
> I'm not sure if it's safe to drink out of. I don't want xenoestrogens giving me mantits.
Did you know, if you take estrogen, your body compensates by not only blocking estrogen but increasing testosterone and DHT (the more powerful version of testosterone) DHT will give you a lot more muscle mass and increase your libido.
Having more estrogen is only bad if you have an overwhelming amount and taking androgen blockers.
>>922964
Broscience/10
>>922964
It doesn't work that way bro. Xenoestrogens can be chemicals that bind to testosterone receptors and don't allow them to function.
There's tons of stuff related to the outdoors hobbies that do this.
Flame retardant products, especially clothing and sleeping bags that touch your skin. That shit is horrible for your health.
Hydration bags, obviously. Plastics in general, including plastic coated metal canteens/bottles. There are also bottles made of aluminum, though that doesn't act as a xenoestrogen, but it's awful for your brain.
Another, I was reading the ingredients to an outdoors food bar thing and it had soy, quinoa, flax seeds, and dried apricots all in the same product. Those are all phytoestrogens, and there's so many in one product it can't be coincidence. I thinks they're purposely trying to turn outdoorsmen into sissy boys or boost revenue to the breast cancer foundation.
Next summer I'm planning a 40 day bike tour. For sleeping I have a hammock, tarp and sleeping bag. And 2 sattlebags for storage.
I have never been out for so long.
What do you reccomend for hygene?
And how do you stay clean that long, and keep the sleeping bag from becoming a dank mess?
>>922663
Are you traveling roads?
>take a whore bath at gas station bathroom.
Are you traveling on hike and bike trails?
>get a solar shower.
Bring a separate set of clothes for sleeping in.
>>922663
How about wash your stuff in the morning, attach to bike while riding and dry it ultra fast?
I dont get why people dont wash themselves - you can get all kinds of diseases, plus remember that noone will want to contact with you if you stink.
Now listen closely....
Make a fireplace with a lot of big rocks around and inside the fireplace....
Burn the fire for few hours so the rocks get extremely hot.
Create like a tent type box with some sticks and tarp or anything you have.
Prepare bucket of water.
When the fire dies out get naked and put that tent over the hot rocks and get inside.
Start adding portions of water on the hot rocks and enjoy the hobo sauna.
Its easy, cheap and you will feel much cleaner...
Rub your dirty body down so all the sting gets out and yeah the main part is you need a water nearby.
When u think you are heated up really good just run to water jump in and enjoy.
You need.
Water source,
Tarp,
Sticks, (tent poles are great)
Rocks, (prefer river rocks so they dont blow up in your face when apply water)
Firewood....
I've done this and that shit is the best out you can get for no cash... Ywah and i prefer to add fresh green birch and oak (or whatever you have) branches on the ground for soft ground and good smell
>>922663
Once in a while you'll probably wind up in a motel, so take a shower there. Use a sleeping bag liner.
