First timers here have to post their picture so we can assess your capabilities
Where would someone start on eventually trying to own or start some type of permaculture or self-reliant farm?
Are there any tasks that prior to starting the farm would be useful to do or learn how to do?
Buy a book on permaculture.
Look for a place whilst you read said book.
best outdoor related add-on item from amazon under $10?
Something to do when camped. Good book, frisbee, tin whistle, etc
Map for an area you love or will visit soon.
Spare notebook/pens/paracord/safety items like bandages or disinfectants

Hi /out/! What drone would you recommend for under $150 with a real-time FPV HD camera?
Any ideas?
>>1085688
Ok, here it goes. Remember Defino? The private investigator from the big lebowsky? What if he had his own animated series? Every episode could be a different case that he solves. Getting into wacky adventures n shit. It could air on adult swim. What do you think?
>no prop
>no windows
>visibly decaying
it's a Very Expensive Mistake, hopefully made by Someone Else.
Just bought some lures on eBay. I know the mepps black fury and syclops and the pink rooster tail but have no idea what the rest of it is. Any help in identifying the brand and what not would be great

the plugs are Lazy Ike shape, but probably knock offs.
Sup /out/
I frequent /pol/ a lot so I'm sort of new to /out/ however recently the idea of a solo hiking/camping trip over a weekend has been really appealing to me. I'm not a NEET, I'm currently fresh out of high school with a job and getting ready to go to community college- that being said, I still have bare minimum experience with camping.
This is just a call for advice from /out/ on the ins and outs of a solo camping trip- where to go, how to pack, what to bring, where to set up etc. Any and all help is appreciated.
>>1085511
No one cares what board you come from, keep it to yourself rather than derailing the thread on OP.
As for the rest lurk more or just do as you would do while camping with other people. It's the same shit.
>>1085511
>what to bring
tent
backpack
sleeping bag
sleeping mat
clothes
rain gear
cook gear
water
small first aid kit
lighter
water filter if needed
food.
>how to pack
light stuff goes in the bottom of the bag, heavy stuff as close to your back as possible. frequently needed stuff in pouches or pockets.
>where to go
somewhere nice, as you are fresh to it don't look to walk more than 10-15 miles in a day.
>where to set up
not some where water will gather, dips in the ground etc. avoid places with standing water as they tend to be damp and have lots of biting insects. actually just watch this https://youtu.be/zCQuY_lAL1Y
Now get off the internet and go /out/ you will only learn so much from forums. You need to go out and make mistakes to learn. Just fucking do it already.
Ok here be the basics:
Leave no trace except for cairns
Don't use a vehicle to get there or have a fire you will kill the planet
Bring a minority with you to atone for your honkey privilege
Whatever you do, do not step on the ground as that is racist against mother nature who is a strong womyn
Don't hunt fish or forage that is literally rape of planet Earth
For food eat humus and barley soup and pemiccan
If you want to eat pemican you must get permission from all local tribes of the first and only nation's
Shitting directly in rivers is the only way to appease Gaia.
Have fun, but don't have fun because somewhere an oppressed minority is sad and it's your fault
How much would it cost (factoring in I do not have tools or any proper workshop/garage, and likely will not be living on the land I will be building on) and how difficult would it be to build something like these:

The last one is a video from a shed at Home Depot (but it's priced at only $12k). I see in the comments some stuff about it not being able to pass inspection/codes for a livable structure?
What do I need to know about those? Could I alter the shed in some way to make it acceptable, without raising costs too much?

I posted on DIY also.
Do you know of any of those sites? I'm not looking for super tiny. I liked these designs because they are more of a cabin, with a second floor and all, than a "tinyhome".
anyone in the 905 area need a fishing buddy?
don't need one but
>buying gf 10k
Sure but can I ask some questions? (I'm really random XD) what is your blood type and do you have two functioning kidneys???
Have any of you gone Innawoods to the Hoia Baciu Forest in Romania?
If so, share your experience!
I'm not sure why this forest has peaked my interest lately, I'm also asking /x/ about this
The stories I here make this fucking forest SCP-Tier levels of strange
>i here
fucking hell im retarded
>>1085284
>peaked my interest
Yes. Yes you are.
>piqued
>>1085284
Anyone interested in spoopy stuff is retarded , you probably are not fixable though so you should just go with it
Why on earth are you not driving towards the eclipse right this moment?
Do you think you are going to make time for the one in alaska in six years?
This is your only shot anon and you are blowing it.
>oh wow the sun is black
Go outside, put your thumb in front of the sun.
Wow, an eclipse.
>>1085201
Are you depressed, anon?
>>1085195
>why aren't u travelling to see this shit
Because i live directly in the path and all i have to do is step outside on my property tomorrow.
Thinking about diving holiday sometime in the near future.
Anyone else been? Where did you go? Did you go yourself/with a few friends or with some diving group? (The place that i'm looking at for the diving course also does group holidays)
>>1085149
I've heard Papua New Guinea is good but you have to watch out for the local savages. If you are diving in Indonesia, there is an island off the coast of Bali that is great for diving with manta rays.
>>1085151
The places that are still available for one of these group holidays is:
Sangat Island Dive Resort, Coron, Singapore
Marsa Nakari, Egypt
So i have these growing in my ysrd and i was eondering if anyone kmows the nsme of them or anything. From my understanding, mushrooms are pretty healthy, so if these are not poisounouns id like to eat them.
They look like Chlorophyllum molybdites or maybe Chlorophyllum rhacodes.
I've been trying to get outdoors a lot more so I'm starting to buy some gear. My problem is, I only go out with my cousin at the moment, but before long I'll be camping with my wife and son. What I'm looking for is gear I can get now, and then work my way into more gear for more people.
An example is, I went kayaking with my cousin today, so o bought a Coleman Peak 1 stove and a Stanley cookset. That's for for me and him now, but eventually I will either need to buy something else or add on. I need recommendations people, on all fronts. Tents, sleeping bags, anything that I might need. Shit from Amazon especially.
>>1084922
Make a fire
Build a lean to
Thatch grass or pine boughs together for bed
Use sand and charcoal to filter water
Make a knife from flint knapping
Rub two sticks together
Stop buying (((amazon)))

Gear changes can be pretty drastic from one group to another, depending on that groups' capabilities. For camping with a spouse and kid, you'll probably want to start small, big tent, comfy pads and pillows, big cooler for snacks and drinks, hell, get yourself a bug zapper if you think that'll help them adjust to being outside. Then start doing hikes while on easy camping trips "we're going to carry some food and water with us and have lunch on the hill", once that's not an issue, start talking to them about carrying some lightweight gear so that you can camp in nicer places that other people don't get to see. Don't make the mistake of throwing them in the deep end, because then they'll hate it and not want to do it again; it's got to be slow and gradual, like anal.
My 2 year old has a backpack that he uses to carry his own snacks and water, and he's pretty into it. We're about to start short hiking trips and work up from there.
I saw this clothes symbol in triathlon. What is this brand's name?
Looks familiar. Reminds me of the Snapdragon logo (they make spray skirts), but that's not it.
