Anybody want to get a cheap camper or boat?
We have a few locations up and down the east coast of the US and make our own units so we can sell them for a good price as well. Also, as of March 10th, we have our Pre-Summer sales starting and you can get a good percentage off of your purchase if you decide to get one here.
At our Ridgeland SC location alone we have over 150 Campers for sale, as well as our factory direct Caravelle bowriders and center consoles. We carry pretty much every brand of camper except Airstream and we also service and detail every unit we sell before it leaves the lot, as well as those we take in as trades. This weekend, the 18th and 19th of March, if you come in and decide to purchase one, we will provide a rain-check for unit winterization at any of our locations due to the fact that summer is right around the corner.
I'm not being paid to do this either; I genuinely enjoy working here because the atmosphere is great and we tend to satisfy everybody who is looking for the perfect boat or camper, save for a few unhappy customers who do end up satisfied after we help them out. Thank you in advance if you decide to come in this weekend

Also, if you have had an experience with us before let me know and if it was bad I can see what we could do to assist you, and if it was good we appreciate the comments

Any anon's getting ready for turkey season this spring?
>>968710
Turkey is a pain in the ass but i will go try one weekend. Atleast it isn't sitting in a swamp for ducks.
I can barely shoot my whitetail limit waking up before dawn is bullshit.
>>968766
how is it bullshit?
>>968710
Naw. Got shot last year pullin red man out my back pocket.

Taking my kid /out/ for the night, got marshmallows and that dough on a stick, what other diabetes snacks go well on a fire?
If you have a grill you can place over the fire, cut an orange in half and then eat the fruit, leave the peel shaped like a bowl.
Bring a roll of the refridgeratdd cinnamon buns, cut off a piece and put in the orange peel, and then set on the grill over the fire. It'll Cook that way and add some orange flavor to it.
You can also get some waffle cones, and fill them with marshmallows, chocolate, or any other treat that will melt. Wrap in aluminum foil and set number the fire upright. It'll all melt together into a gooey mess, kids love it.
You can also buy a pie iron for the fire. There's dozens of ideas for them.
>>968629
Also man, how could you forget s'mores?
Have fun with the kiddo, hopefully he/she will love it and we will have a future sc/out/ in the making.
>>968632
Fuck yeah I love pie irons.
Maybe make some hot cocoa over the fire, super cozy especially if it's chilly out. If you want more of a meal kabobs are fun over a fire, might be easier if you throw a grate over some coals but you can just roast the kabobs like marshmallows too, if you put them on a long stick.
Hey you, yes you in lack of adventures. I'm loocking for someone to go on an adventure in all North America :D it could take a fiew months or more. Discover/hicking/a lot of walking/bungee and stuff
coment your snapchat
>>968457
If that's you in the pic, you look way too high-maintenance for the type of traveling anyone who would take several months off to travel could handle. Those of us who do travel long-term don't stay in hotels and go out to eat, you need to be able to handle creek bathing, roadside camping and hitching. But if it's your first time doing that, you're probably right to not want to go alone.
I don't snapchat, but I'm going to be traveling the rest of the year, starting in a few weeks. I'd be happy to answer any questions or whatever.

I live in georgia!
Spring is almost here and that means its mushroom season.
Anyone have any tips, advice ?
>>968393
Spores samples learn to take them. And don't eat LBMs little brown mushrooms. They are hard to identify and most mycology experts cant agree on how to class them either so its the wild west of mushrooms.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i couldn't find any information from anywhere else, but...
What is the purpose of Tattoos like these?
Also what are they called?

Thanks bro
Im going on a NOLS course in April.
65 days. Half in British Columbia doing sea kayaking.
half mountaineering in the northern Cascades of Washington State.
Any advice/tips on getting through the 65 days?
This is my first major outdoor trip. I've done small 2 day stays in the Poconos and Adirondacks at the most.
>>968284
Tips: don't be stupid, don't freak out and don't cook inside your tent. You'll do fine.
>>968284
There's going to be a lot of snow that early in the Cascades. Expect even longer approaches because of it.
Should be a lot of fun still, wish I could have done that.
Bring warm clothes and extra socks
Metal detectors are prohibited where I live.
Is there any other way I can find little treasures like coins etc. outside without a metal detector?

where the fuck do you live?

Baden Württemberg, Germany

Or let me be clearer. It's prohibited to search with one without an approval, as far as I know.
What does /out/ think about this type of shoes? Obviously interested in the practical use vs shoelaces and not their aesthetics.
>>968197
>post /fa/ggot shoe
>expects people to talk about velcro vs laces and not aesthetic
maybe go find an /out/ velcro shoe, and when you can't think about why not. retard.
I like velcro.
However I don't think they are made for outdoors.
I don't think it works well if it gets wet, and snow sticks to it, also might get icy, also if you are extreme it might not give proper tightness for long outings.
But I these are just speculation.
Bonus part of laces is you have string in emergency.
Just curious what all of your idols and role models are? Who you aspire to be or hope to follow in their foot steps.
As someone looking to thru-hike after the military (yeah militaryfag) one person I aspire to achieve the same accomplishments is Andrew Skurka(pic related).
Here is a national geographic interview post hiking the Alaskan wilderness.

"Any dictatorship would be better than modern democracy. There cannot be so incompetent dictator, that he would show more stupidity than a majority of the people. Best dictatorship would be one where lots of heads would roll and government would prevent any economical growth."
Primitive Technology is my role model. Fucken love his videos, many of which have inspired me to start a garden next year, and maybe even try and mimic one of his shed designs if the time ever permits.
Also Frederick Burnham and of course the obligatory Proenneke.

Snow.
Anyone here worked wildland fire before? Just got hired on a fuels crew in R4 this summer, 1st season. Worked a few years of trails and ecology/forestry stuff so I'm not totally green but still a very new experience. I'm in need of new boots, hate the big logger styled ones, would much prefer a more modern hiker design. Any recs or general advice?
>>968148
I did a season on a hotshot crew a couple years ago which was extremely fun. Just make sure you get on the good side of your crew. If people like you you'll have a great time, but if you aren't likeable you will hate life. Also make sure you are in good shape it will make the job much easier.
Get you a pair of whites
As you know, you'll need nails in the sole because glue will melt out there
See ya in the hellfires brother!
>>968205
Have you had any experience with Scarpas? I'd prefer to stay away from loggers but I do love the option of recrafting them. My unit isn't designated IA so I'm not going to be in deep shit every day, mostly prescribed and thinning.

>Using two legs when you could have four
I won't walk in the woods without them again. Pic related, my Alpine Ergo Corks. When you get used to them, you move much more efficiently up, over, and down mountains, on flat sections they push you forward and pace increases. I fly past hikers that don't use em
>>968070
>having to find secure places for 4 legs when you could be looking for only 2
and the reason you don't see me is because i'm already up and over that talus and scree pass while you're still at the bottom timidly poking every rock to see which ones you can brace your sissy sticks against.
learn to move with the terrain instead of wasting money on frivolous toys trying to conquer it and you'll move twice as fast.
>This thread again.

Trekking poles are great if you're in the mountains with a heavy pack, or need to cross rivers. They double as tarp poles, you can put up a clothesline between them, use them to defend against feral dogs, or as a monopod for your camera.
If you """""hike""""" with them in flat terrain with a light pack, you're a faggot.
