Another day, another infographics thread.

As some of you may know I've been compiling a library of books, videos, and infographics since 2015.

-Mega:
https://mega.nz/#F!idIVWQba!0U7rggYZADJnUmLk0d9v3g

-Google Drive:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2ILpxMxNOBzZGxpNmtQQzBfWlE

Please note - the library is formatted so that the user drills down to their situation at hand, so if you're simply browsing you will find redundancies. Enjoy!

Yesterday I bought a fishing pole for $15 off craigslist. I don't know much about fishing but was gonna watch a few YouTube videos to learn how. After thinking about it a bit, I started feeling bad about fishing. Think about it... You cast a line with a hook to pierce the lip of some living fish; God's perfect creation, a floating consciousness suspended in water, being baited and hooked then taken out of its natural environment. How do you justify this? Doesn't it undeniably hurt the fish? How can any moral man go fishing?

Fish feel no pain. Also you have to eat, don't feel bad one day you too will be food for others.
>>
Fish are very primitive organisms and jabbing a hook through the very soft tissue of their lips doesn't hurt. Some fish bite the same hook two or three times, if not more.

If you kill and eat a fish or any other animal, you should instantly feel better about yourself because you've proven that you can go out and put meat on the table like a man should be able to. Buying everything in grocery stores has neutered our society. Nothing is more satisfying than eating something that you caught or hunted and processed yourself.
>>
>>964649
>Fish are very primitive organisms
Fish today are just as evolved as you are, just under different selection pressure
>>964648
>Fish feel no pain
Yes, they do
Catch and release fishing is animal torture
>>964643
>Is fishing immoral?
Morality is relative and subjective

Please tell me about your Mess Kits. Where? when? how? why? do you recommend it? if you were going to replace what mess kit would you get?

Honestly just get whatever you can afford that fits into your pack with the other shit you plan to carry. Weight is negligible unless you're actually planning on some hardcore outings, and if that was the case, you wouldn't be asking a bunch of retards on 4chan's opinion on kit.

pic related is the messkit i have been using for the bast 17-18 years. I found it in my basement before a scout trip. it was my dads from when he was a kid. im pretty sure it was outdated when he got it. its well passed its retirement age. i'm so far behind on mess kits. i know there is atomized, titanium, stainless and all that shit. my friend uses an REI one that he spnt like 70 bucks and that just seems like overkill.

just looking to see a general mix of what people on here are using before i end up just getting some random sea2summit one i find on amazon.
>>
>>960141
My go to kit is a 2 pan kit from walmart that perfectly fits a medium isopro cartridge, my snowpeak titanium stove and a lighter.

I keep putting off buying the titanium snowpeak pot because these 2 little stainless pots wont quit and they cost me like 12 bucks at wallyworld.

The lid and bag even let you store a large isopro can inside.i wouldn't hike like that but i have it in my toughbox like that rihht now.

I'm watching a documentary about people squatting in the UK. I am wondering, how do people find houses that easily that no one lives in and they are abandoned? I live in the US and this seems like a good idea, but I do not understand how these people know a house is abandoned. Some people I know went into an abandoned house to hang out for a little bit, and four police cars and dogs showed up less than an hour later.

How do squatters know whats abandoned, how to get in and how to keep police from showing up? Keep the information about America. Thanks

Hey Swiss/French fags little help here. What's the best way for a foreigner to find seasonal agricultural jobs in your mountainous country?

I'm a fellow European and I'm feeling like work there for a couple months during spring/summer. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

If your in the U.K. Try to get onto daffodil picking work and talk to other pickers or strawberrys later in the year or apples in the autum you get these jobs through contacts and word of mouth not google but once your in its quite easy I have friends who do picking and they have been to France for work grapes are a good one as you often get free wine or just go to an area where there is work and ask farmers my friends got kiwi picking this way

What is the best region of North America to live off grid? With regards to climate, regulations, etc.

Personally I'm thinking Idaho, maybe Tennessee?

Appalachia, IMO

"Idaho, maybe Tennessee"

Georgias real warm, great gun laws, mountains in the north.

I'd prefer the adirondacks in ny though.

if you can survive the cold and hunting: northern quebec or any ontario province. southern territories.
if you can survive the desert: maybe utah or like arizona

Dear /out, which tent maker and model can you warmly recommend?

I'm looking to expand my myopic websearch filter bubble.

inb4 how u plan to use it: mostly 1, max 2 persons; temp range from -10 C to max +30 C, yes for winter but not coldest time, taiga/temperate broadleaf biomes; wind-tolerant, no alpine use, no climbing use

What's your price range? What do you prioritize the most: comfort or portability?
>>
Tents don't have temperature ranges.
>>
>>969265
Price max 1 k EUR.
Comfort vs. portability: I prefer comfort I guess, I can trade a few hundred grams in favor of comfort but not kilo or more

So my best friend and I decided yesterday that we're going to travel the world for all of 2018 and not return to the USA unless it's for emergencies or special occasions to visit family.

Already spent 6 and a half hours putting together information and tips on packing, making money on the go, countries to go to, tips for saving money, health, etc.

Have any of you done this before?
If so:
>Where did you go and what do you recommend doing that's exclusive to that part of the world, whether it be an event, activity, food to try, etc.

>How did you make extra cash to prolong the length of the journey?

>Do you regret not doing anything along the journey?

>Any other pro tips or things the average person wouldn't think to do or bring?

Thanks in advance homie.

There was a guy who did some thing like this. He went to 73 dif countries. Took him a few yrs, he did a lot of badass shit (Almost died multiple times)

Best thing I ever done was go over to the U.K. just travel to a few dif countries from there. Nothing as large as you and what the one guy I mention did.

Another guy visit 203 countries, did so without using ever getting on a plane. Now that must've been a epic trip.

Here's a bump friend. Good luck on your adventure and have fun.

Godspeed anon- Hoping to hear more about you later.
