They're persistent, I guess. Can't think of a better way to waste your time while /out/ but if that's what they like to do they're not hurting anybody, and they look sort of neat.

I'm thinking of getting a camera drone to take nice pictures and videos when I go backpacking/hiking/camping. Anyone have experience with that kind of thing? I would need something relatively compact and lightweight, and being cheap is a bonus too

I assume some of us here do bare minimum farming on our land to qualify for ag tax breaks and such, usually meaning we have to make 1k-3k a year in gross income. Usually while having a full time job as well.

I've been haying my land and raising a few hogs in the spring to meet the requirements for the past 2 years. But I've legitimately been looking into making a profit as a small farm for a while now and most things on the surface seem pointless.

Does anyone have any experience or ideas on how a smaller operation could make some real side income farming ~20-50 acres while still having a full time job?

That's a handsome knoife OP. I'm a Huntsmanfag myself. No big difference †bh, although I do prefer the traditional handle to the ergonomic design. Also the Hunty has two blades which has come in handy - the big one for everything and the little one strictly for foodstuffs.

>on March 12, 2007, the Colorado General Assembly made "Rocky Mountain High" one of two official state songs

Now his life is full of wonder but his heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend
>Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more
>More people, more scars upon the land

Anyone else find it ironic with the population growth and influx to Colorado that this is one of their "official" state songs?

No cooler thread. Thinking about getting an Rtic cooler. New line rolled out yesterday. only $175 which beats the hell out of a Yeti, only problem is there's still only a 30 day warranty.

Anyone have any experience with the coolers?

1: go to yard sale/garage sale/thrift shop/salvation army store
2: find a 100 quart to 200 quart cooler for $10
3: buy said cooler
4: go outside
5: use cooler for cooler purposes
6: spend remaining $165 on cheap hookers and blow

Hey /out/! Longtime hiker/biker from the Appalachians here. I've recently been offered a position with the conservation corps for a six month stint and I was wondering if any of you have any experience with it?

It's in Utah, near Mt. Zion/Bryce Canyon/Canyonlands. It seems a great way to see a part of the country I wouldn't have seen otherwise. What do you guys think? Any of you old CC volunteers?

Hopefully this is the right place for this, since last year at about this same time, i've been anxious about Thunderstorms, i've gotten a little better about it, but i'm tired of still being a bit of a little bitch about it, any advice for not being anxious about them anymore?

>>
>>1007488
What makes you anxious about it?
>>
>>1007504
i don't really know, i used to have a phobia of them when i was little, it went away for awhile and it returned last year for no reason, when i heard there was a possibility of one i'd get all anxious, the one time we actually got one last year i didn't even care about it, thought it was kinda cool actually, but i still get a little anxious when i hear about them being possible
>>
>>1007515
It's really hard to fix the problem if you don't know what's causing it. Is it the danger it represents, or the actual sound and visual atmosphere?

Is the Missouri ozarks a good place for wilderness camping? I live a bit north and I was wondering if it'd be a good place to go out with some basic tools and set up camp in the middle of the woods or is there too many people?

I live right in the middle of the Ozarks and it's insanely easy to leave civilization and not see another soul. Just go to any Ozark Trail Trailhead and walk ten miles and you won't see another soul.

If the location is anything like the Walmart brand, be careful. You're going to ruin the /out/doors on the first or second use.
