>SHO isn't AWD or RWD
This car is amazing and fuck you for saying different. Two of these would have been quicker and cheaper than any similar performance sedan and it made the pony cars look like slow dog shit.
They oversteer like mad you stupid bench racer. They honestly need 235/17s instead of 215/15s or 215 or 225/16s.
I chose luxury and passenger space over a slow overpriced econobox and they still can manage 32 mpg highway.
>1980s emissions requirements lol 200HP 350
Nigger you made it a drivetrain thread
Literally nobody except thr shitposter is autistic enough to care about a few inches of wheelbase. Wheelbase-width ratio is what matters.
>Wheelbase-width ratio is what matters
>inb4 he starts shitposting about that
that's not true
the 6th generation civic is inferior because it's 103.2
the sho is bad because its 106
cars need to be in the 90s to have good handling, or even lower
did you not notice that that's why all sports cars are in that range? even the mustang is sub 100 inches
3200lbs is not bad for a mid size sedan, and they do oversteer very easily, even the sable with soft ass suspension did too
Euros talking shit about American cars that Americans can actually afford. Hilarious. The only cars they gloat about they will realistically never be able to afford. Even more hilarious.
Keep that delusion going you stupid fucks.
I really like the way this looks but I'm just not into FWD.
Maybe I just need a Falcon.
>tfw none of them here in Finland
Wow, it has this giant, extravagant wheelbase guise!! All shitboxes are god-tier handling machines and GOAT!!!
Why are we falling for this obvious bait again?
>Struts on every wheel.
>24mm front swaybar
>26mm rear swaybar
>Higher ratio steering rack
>Stiff, non economy springs from the fucking factory
>passive toe-in on the rear suspension setup
>engine doesn't want to over torque the wheels because 3.0l
>4 SHO specific struts
Pic related bench racers. We drive FWD for 12 months 'cause weather. A Prelude. Type-SH had Better handling cause torque biasing from the factory, but FWD all sucks.
Europe needs a revolution.
And then we'll gloriously copy-paste the Second Amendment and add another amendment:
"The right to drive cars shall not be infringed in the form of excessive taxation"
Head gaskets are a blight on the world! Together we shall DESTROY THEM ALL!
>implying takumi wouldn't destroy civics with the glorious Yamaha power
>implying the car wouldn't have amazing tires
>amazing suspension set up
I'm tellin it would kick some weeb ass if he upgraded it like the 86 in the later seasons
>24 valve DOHC V6
Not sure if this is relevant because it's a new car but still
and then they had to give it electronic adaptive steering because fuck nissan
can't put the power down as well as RWD
the list goes on
all you did was post one on the track, that means literally nothing, did it win? what was the time? how did it compare?
Also I asked for togue, never one did I care about how fast it is in a straight line.
So, fuck off.
That's the wrong engine, fgt.
That glorious 3 wheel motion
>Implying these things don't drastically oversteer at speeds under 60.
>Implying they never heard of the Torque Biasing differential that puts up to 80 percent of the power to the outside wheel
>Implying these forged internals can't more than double the amount of torque at every RPM.
>Implying this isn't the early version of a 2JZ and double thanks to Yamaha
>implying people give a shit about some shit back roads other than adding speed bumps because weabs that can't drive.
But really though, the SHO community is all into some other type of cars and they'll shoot the shit about whatever.
can i go over 250 miles per hour in a first gen taurus SHO?
Can I race in a taurus SHO and win?
I don't give a shit about drag racing, asshole. Backroads matter to me, I want handling
the wheelbase is 106, the curb weight is 3,300
it is bad
My 89 (no ABS or airbags) was ~3225 lbs with a quarter tank and the power front seats weigh 92 lbs a piece. The back end sliding was fucking awesome and I love being able to seat five adults.
I'll buy a $300 EG and paint it if some color that screams fart cannon if I want to fly around blind corners and pretend I'm not driving a Cavalier tier commuter vehicle.
>Engine should've revved to 8k RPM
>Chassis, whilst an improvement on norm, was still American
>People genuinely thought this was better than an M5
>It's as ugly as a rotten cum-sock
I don't mind Fords, but honestly this one just doesn't work for me.
Because I'm taking the piss and I can't be bothered being intelligent.
The car doesn't rev 8k from the factory like Yamaha designed it to.
It's not better than an M5, the M5 was faster around a track, however not in a straight line, I'll give you that. The M5 was better made and had a better interior, of course it was dearer.
The car is a by-product of American design values at the end of the day. The fact is it was ultimately a Camry competitor that they put a nerfed rocket motor into and made the thing completely floppy on the back-end.
>The car doesn't rev 8k from the factory like Yamaha designed it to.
Cars don't rev, engines do. But the engine will spin to 8.5k, the factory accessories won't like you for it though.
>The M5 was better made and had a better interior
Have you seen how many E28s have cracked dashes? Also, the SHO had better seats.
>The car is a by-product of American design values at the end of the day
Like a lot of bang for the buck? That's a bad thing?
>The fact is it was ultimately a Camry competitor that they put a nerfed rocket motor into and made the thing completely floppy on the back-end.
The aero Taurus was the best selling car in the US at it's debut, it was a game changer in it's day. You're absolutely delusional if you think a first gen Camry is comparable to the Taurus. Also, the Taurus had very good road manners for a highest powered FF of it's day.
This gen escort looks like a squashed taurus.
uh, ok, whatever, I'll let you live off in fantasy world where it's not damn quick, but what does that have to do with whether or not a well-sorted car with an axle at the back handles decently or not?
>Not 30% smaller
>Turbo instead of a further-developed S65
>No LTW version
What's so hard to understand?
First point: BMW's have become bloated
Second: They ditched one of their best engines (S65) for the soulless turbocharged S55.
Third: BMW no longer offers their LTW trim level which is less pigfat and more track-oriented.
They just fixed all your issues.
>small by today's standards
You took the goalpost to the next town over.
The Gen 1s can easily hang with the S197s stock and the internals are forged and ready for crazy boost. The Mazda Transaxle in thrm is a shit and will through a differential pin if not welded or replaced, and 3rd gear starts to die at 400 ft lbs. Just removing the power seat racks save you 80 lbs.
This is bait and you don't know what gearing is and I kek'd. We needed the SHO in TXR.
Could the sho beat a fifth gen
How do you get more power out of it NA?
How light can it be made?
Can it overcome the FWD disadvantage?
We will never know
If it was rwd it'd be better , even pepsifag knows
Alright let's get real here folks. In 3-5 years (highly dependent on location) police SHO's (mostly AWD) will be leaving service after many years of idling and hard launches. Is /o/ hoping to snap one up?
D E S T R O Y E D
>can't meme sideways and down anymore because of spambot
It looks good but appearently the build quality is shit.
>Double wishbone front suspension
>multi-link rear suspension
>attached to THIS car
There isn't anything necessarily wrong with MacPhearson, but double wishbone is better in a performance car. Double wishbone suspension moves the wheel into a more optimal position for maximum grip under hard cornering load. Also with McPherson, wheel travel compared to suspension travel is a 1:1 ratio. With short arm long arm double wishbone it could be a higher ratio, meaning you get more wheel movement with the same amount of shock travel. So that means less chance of bottoming or topping out with shorter shocks.
Double wishbone does add negative camber under hard cornering, and McStruts don't and sometime will lessen the negative camber und full cornering load.
lel I have never played Forza and I don't even own any racing video games.
