>>
>trying to drive your car with 4 inches of clearance through 3ft of snow

It's fucking awd, not a snow plow. Goddamn, why are people with AWD cars so dumb?

Subaru makes cars that are invincible, you probably turned the invincible button off by mistake, it's by the traction control. Common mistake.

P.s. the girl is the one pushing because the guy is like "the clutch is hella tricky sorry babe". Girl is a 7.5/10 with the emotional security of a 5/10

The snow is taller than the car. My truck would get stuck in that too. The reason to mock them is because the tards though "Oh, my SOOBARUUU is AWD so I can take on any snow!" and got the thing buried in the way of the snowplow trucks.

Tall-riding modified offroader with the proper tires could do just fine, but when you have a car like that you don't stand a chance as your tires just sink through and your car beaches.

>>14330548
>downhill
Now, I have some experience with cars on ski slopes, and the general gist of it is; downhill works alright, uphill works only under the best conditions with a rock-hard surface and good tires. The car you see pictured was doing stunt jumps at my workplace, but several times got stuck on the flats/slight inclines as the tires shredded through, and for the steeper areas we had to chain it behind a snowmobile to help it get up

Simply put; for snow that deep it doesn't matter if its an Evo, an Impreza or a damned Skoda; it will spin through unless the snow has an abnormally hard surface

If the snow in OP's picture was super fluffy and he had good tires it might have worked, but most normally it would have just sunk ontop of the snow, compressed it and lost all traction
>>
>>14329575
Tires and AWD don't mean shit when you run out of ground clearance.

>>
>>14331433
this. My XJ went through similar snow on all terrain tires without a problem, i had some slip on rare occasions, but never got stuck.
>>
Lot's of Subie idiots here in Colorado think they can go offroading because they have AWD. Do not know how many times I have seen a forester with a broken ball joint, control arm, cv axle or something else broken on a difficult rock crawling trail. Your car was never designed to do that.

Do not reply to me with some picture of a Subaru with 1 ton axles front and rear, different transfer case and transmission etc... That is offroading. It is barely a Subaru at that point.
>>
>>14329635
When it was snowing they were sliding around all over the place and just being really loud.
>>
>>14331660
Got stuck in the snow with one of our work-HiLuxes the other day... had to drive it out onto the snow as it was parked incorrectly and there weren't any actual places to park it.... Got it reversed onto the snow, but when I tried to get it going again five hours later it had sunk in a tiny bit and would not move no matter what I did. The shitty BFG AT's just packed up and became slicks, they were too thin and I'm not sure if the 4WD works properly on that car

A tiny tad embarassing
>>
>>14329575
>typical response

Whenever I tell the story about the time I was doing donuts around a stranded STI in like 4" of snow, everybody always starts making excuses just like that.

My Explorer had all seasons on it, and I wasn't even in 4WD.

"ALL WHEEL DRIVE BRO"

Doesn't matter if the snow's deep enough the car gets beached nothin can save from that kind of stupidity
>>
>>14331389

I also work at a ski hill. We have a pair of Polaris Rangers for doing errands and moving snow making guns - an 800cc on tires, and a 900cc with the track kit. I can drive the 800 anywhere on the hill as long as the fluffy snow is less than about 4" deep, and it'll go up any of the runs after the groomer's been through.

We sometimes get the 900 stuck (i.e trying to tow a Polecat up a 50 degree incline with fluffy snow), and then we break out the Prinoth Bison X snowcat.
