Well guys I'm doing it
>visited the lady today
>inspected every inch of the car, minus some paint scratches it's literally all original
>runs great and has just been tuned
>carfax checks out legit athe 86k miles, basically 1 owner, never wrecked, passed emissions everytime, was in a warehouse for a little while out of the sun
>just filed for my 2500 loan so i can secure this car while I flip my current car and use that 4500 to pay off the loan and then some
>downgrading to FR V8
Welcome to America, Brother. Was it the gas prices that finally converted you?
If that is the car in the pic there is no way I would pay 2500 for it. I would also never take out a loan to buy a 2500 dollar car. Also I already have a turd gen camaro collecting rust.
>getting a loan to buy an old piece of shit
>paying 2500 for that
my fucking sides
I thought it was a good deal given the mileage and condition, interior was 100 percent original
>>14329385
You had to take out a loan for a 2500 dollar car? You do realize the second something breaks you are fucked right?
Nothing more American than taking out a loan to buy a beat up Firebird from a trailer park, congrats, you made it
>>14329426
>>14329440
I'm paying $4000 for it. I just needed the loan to cover the balance.
>>14329473
>paying 4,000 for it
>car your selling is worth 4,500
why take out the loan in the first place?
>>14329461
only a matter of time before he gets drunk and wraps it around a telephone pole
itll probably explode into a red white and blue firework show
>>14329473
>$4000
oh lord and I thought 2500 was lol worthy
>>14329455
I would rather not take a 2500 dollar hit to my savings account right now, this way I can pay it off once I flip my car, or if not Just pay it off in like 3 months. I put 1200 a month Into savings it's not a huge deal
>>14329492
Can't sell my car before buying this one. And I'm still paying off my old car anyway.
>>14329492
Not me, it's 2500 for it.
>>14329385
>4k
>for an 80-something firebird
pretty sure you could just get an 80-something corvette for cheaper, and then you wouldn't even have to pretend to be one with that body style.
>>14329454
That's the 305 isn't it? Why
I love my 89 trans am shes my baby. Had to put a bit of work into her but i grew really attached to it. Fun to drive and no major problems, only issue i have is t-top seals like a lot of people but fixed it easy enough. Only option i wish it had was the digital dash.
>>14329385
>>14329454
That actually looks really clean and well taken care of. I dunno about 4 grand, but it's not *terrible* for a car in that condition. Engine bay is nice and tidy.
>>14329537
Sort out your finaces. Christ. Do you have no savings?
>>14329454
Nice 150 HP
>>14329910
Saving's been hard since my girlfriend had a kid and I lost my job. Fucking /o/, I find a cherry american V8 and all they can do is be jelly and whine.
>>14329948
Then I wouldn't be buying another car until you have your finances back in order.
>>14329903
I actually paid 2500 for it, some guys just trolling. Like mentioned above though I did have the cash available but since I'm selling my other car anyways id rather just takeout a loan and pay 200 a month for it instead of burning through my savings in case of an emergency. Then once I sell my car I can pay off the entire loan in full, have the car off my hands, and still have savings
>>14329948
Get your life sorted you fucking spatic
>>14331047
I'm trying but it's hard since bubbles won't let borrow his cats to protect my weed plants
Am I the only one who thinks "hey, good for you"?
Why are you guys so upset. It's 2500$ - I'm not American, but it cannot possibly be that much harder to obtain this amount of dollars than it is obtaining the equivalent amount of my currency. And in any case, amounts like this are fucking miniscule. If he can pay it off nicely, why shouldn't he?
Anyways, good for you OP. Would sure love to see more pictures though.
You got cucked

He must mean 22,000
>>14329948
no one is jealous of your overpriced asthmatic pos
I can guarantee you that
>>14331192
nope OP overpaid
>>14331192
>$22,000
Um, no. Just no.
>>14331236
My point was that 2200 dollars for a pristine GTA is a fucking steal. Holy shit for 3 grand you could have a really nice car put together.
>>14331217
Nigga thats not even me that's some guy trolling as Ricky from trailer park boys. I got the bird for 2500 cash
>>14331109
More pics inbound
>>14331252
>cash
>took out a loan
If you can't get your story straight, don't bother telling it. If you plan on getting known on /o/ you're only digging yourself a hole.
>>14331243
I agree, $2200 for a pristine GTA is a good deal. But the car in that ad is far from pristine according to the description.
>>14331291
I paid $2500 cash after I took out a loan to pay off my old loan.
>>14331295
I would just slather it with rustoleum, get new shocks, dump some acetone in the gas tank and call it a day
I'm really, really jelly of you Americans getting these awesome 80's sports cars for so cheap.
>>14331321
They aren't that awesome. The car OP bought is dog slow and not a great handler.
>>14331330
So are the W123/4 Mercedes Benz, yet they're considered the pinnacle of automotive engineering whereas in reality they're horrible shitboxes outdone by REAL shitboxes made in Japan.
>>14331335
okay
>>14331335
The Mercedes is good at what it is. An 80's firebird isn't good at anything.
>>14331364
Well, you're right, the Mercedes is good at being a fucking terrible car all around with nothing going on for it except large expenses, whereas the Firebird is quite boring being reliable, simple and having a lot of potential for a fast car.
>>14329948
Good thing you're buying a fuel efficient well built car to help you find and get to work! Nyoro~n
>>14331321
Me too
>>14331401
>>14331420
Is that snek truk?
>>14331413
Do I spot a dent in the front fender, near the amber strip?
>>14331434
>op spent $2500 on a beat dirty auto Fireturd
>he took out a loan for this
kek
I can get cleaner manual 305s for that
even 350s arent much more
hell theres a nicer looking 350 with a T5 for $3k on the local CL
>>14331299
>I had to take a loan to pay off my other loan so I could buy an unreliable gutless piece of shit
Wow.
Americans, everyone.
>>14331442
No he didn't take out a loan to buy the fireturd
He took out a loan to pay off the loan on his old car.
He paid for this car with cash.
Oh and he's unemployed so he's not even going to be able to keep this thing fueled or maintained, and he's got a kid he's going to have to somehow pay for on top of keeping that piece of shit running.
>>14329948
>since my girlfriend had a kid
It's yours, right?
>>14329385
I never understood why people like this pice of shit. 4gs for a faded paint redneck mobile with cracked grilles... With a gutless v8 to boot. Enjoy the car I guess :/
>>14329948
>my girlfriend's son
Ayyyyyy
Good for you OP theyre fun cars and yours isnt the best looking, but still 2,500 cash for a good working fireturd isnt all that bad.
Everyone bitching about this is forgetting OP is probably 18-20
This is why you're poor and white trash. Save money and buy later.
>>14331192
OP paid too much. $4K will get you a 1995 with the LT1. Twice the HP of what the OP bought.
>>14331867
And better gas milage
>>14331321
>awesome 80's sports cars
You know how /o/ complains the BRZ is slow? This car's 5 litre V8 makes 50 less horsepower.
Meanwhile, in reality: http://providence.craigslist.org/cto/5414975919.html
>>14331701
>Everyone bitching about this is forgetting OP is probably 18-20
Which is exactly why it's a bad idea you knuckle dragger. We're trying to keep op from being impoverished white trash(though that's what he seems dead set on being).
I bought a '97 Lt1 T/A with no rust, mechanically good, needs a new suspension (drives fine but just old/beat) 8+ 32nd's on the tread on the tires, 116k miles. Radiator fan doesn't work at the moment, one of the previous owners broke everything you interact with in the interior, when I changed the oil and tranny fluid, they were both black and deep purple, respectively. Good oil pressure though, runs great. I paid 2500$, he paid 5k 2 years and 1500 miles ago. I feel like I got a steal. Pics incoming from my phone.
Don't worry, that is the old plate I drove home unregistered and uninsured on, it's all legal now. Of course that is a fictitious story, too, probably.
>>14332037
Spending 2,500 on a car isn't going to make him impoverish white trash for life. The whole loan thing is stupid, but really OPs likely a kid let him be dumb.
>>14331867
LT1 would have been way better than a 305 OP you might want to hold off if you can help it
>>14332097
>>14332079
>>14332068
Don't worry, it got a washin' after the snow cleared up, it's got a lot of love she needs.
I was told not to buy this car either, honestly I feel like I got a better deal, but if you like it OP, and you feel like you got a decent deal, and it's good to you, you'll love it anyways; enjoy it.
>>14329948
>my girlfriend had a kid
If it's not yours GTFO. If you stay for a few years the courts will ding you for child support until it's at least 18. Longer if it's a sperg.
>>14329846
There's no way at to distinguish a 305 from a 350
>>14331488
>>14331467
>>14332476
It's not mine. We had a rocky stretch a while back and saw other people for a couple weeks. But I'm helping her raise him.
>>14332554
Lmao OP confirmed for cuck
Why do you need a loan for $2500? Aren't you an adult? Do you have a job?
I also am thinking about getting a third gen trans am. This seems promising, although 140000+ miles is a lot.
http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/5375363165.html
Looks nice OP. Don't know why there's so much salt in the air tonight
