What's the best SUV I can get for 15-20k?

The bigger the better. I love the Toyota Sequoia.
>>
>>14324898
Do you tow anything?
Do you haul around a lot of your demon spawn?
If the answer is no, shut up and buy a civic.

If you tow, get a tahoe/burb
If you have to haul around 2+ kids, get a minivan.
>>
>>14324910
>you can't buy what you want, uou can only buy what I think you need.
>>
>>14324910
Nah, one kid.

I just like big SUVs. I obviously can't afford a 2016 Sequoia, so I want the next best thing.

tbss is also amazing if you want to go fast
worst gas mileage of all time tho
>>

Yeah, I'd love it. But I really doubt I could find one in my price range.

My uncle has a Sequoia and lent it to me to drive to Orlando on vacation. I fell in love with it.

I'm sure Fords or Dodge are better though, I should test drive them to get a feel.

So I found this with just a quick search, it's less than $10k. I literally have that much cash in my bedroom safe.

2004 GMC Yukon 4dr 1500 SLE

https://www.autonation.com/miami/used/2004/gmc/yukon/sle/1GKEC13V54R225885

Are Yukons dependable enough to buy one that's more than 10 years old and 91k miles?
>>
>>14325087
>miami
it might be worth flying somewhere to pick up a nice one that was never owned by minorities.

>Sequoia
>not a proper Land Cruiser
>>
>>14325219
OP has no use for a Land Cruiser, so the abortion that is the Sequoia would suit him.
>>
Just get a Tahoe. They have one of the best drivetrains you can get in a full size suv. Good build quality and they will do just about anything you need them to do
>>
Why not a Crown Vic? You want a truck capable car? I hate Crown vics as regular commuter cars but does fill in that truck niche
>>
>>14324898
Just get a wagon faggot
They are super comfy, get better gas mileage, handle a bit better, won't flip over in a crash, can carry just as much stuff, easier to get in and out of, and can make ultimate sleepers if you shop around for the right ones
>>
>>14325510
Some of them can also tow alot too
>>
>>14324898
Ford motors just don't die. Got a 2004 Expedition with the 5.4 Triton with more than 300k KM and it doesn't make a single noise. Obviously I take good care of it.
>>
>>14325525
Hmmm... so far I'm considering a Yukon or a Ford Expedition... do Expeditions come with a V8 engine?
>>
>>14325733
If you want biggest you might like the excursion. It came with the same 5.4 v8, a gas v10 and the god-tier 7.3 powerstroke
>>
>>14324960
Apparently owning a used Q7 and saying it's unrelaiable is a myth. My dad bought a used 2010 Q7 a year back and it still runs fine.
>>
>>14325733
>do Expeditions come with a V8 engine?
No. The new ones come with an EeecowBeust.
>>
>>14324898
Nissan Armada
>>
>>14326114
Both the Sequoia and Armada looks so outdated and I highly doubt that they will even get a small facelift.
>>
>>14326131
The sequoia might and not the armada.
>>
Why... precisely, is the Sequoia a bad SUV?

Online all I can get is "hurr durr buy American not chinkshit".
>>
>>14325918
A 6 year old car should still run fine. Just wait till something breaks and the parts cost a fortune
>>
>>14326283
Because the tundra I'd the worst in segment, so an suv based on it is worst in segment too.
>>
>>14324898
>Duraburb
>Suburban
>Yukon XL
>Excursion
>Escalade ESV

>>14326283
It's everything bad about "American SUVs" with none of the good.

>>14326514
Also this.

>>14325525
Expeditions are shit
>$15k Expedition
>$3k in warranty work
>stranded multiple times
>$5k in out of warranty work
>less than 150k miles

>>14325918
>vehicle from 2010 runs fine for a year
IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE IMPRESSIVE?
It's not. It's not at all. That doesn't mean it's reliable.
>>
>>14326514
Yet the Hilux is the greatest most durable vehicle in the world.

The terrorists' choice numero uno.
>>
>>14327044
It's reliable, affordable and available over there, that's why.
>>
>>14327044
>what terrorists buy has everything to do with deciding on the single best vehicle on the planet and nothing to do with price and local availability

Believe it or not, not every terrorist is a supreme enthusiast or desires the image of one
>>
>>14327112
I don't believe that.

I'm also retarded.
>>
>>14327044
what does that have to do with the Tundra or Sequoia?
>>
>>14324910

>Tahoe or Suburban

Yeah and he can replace the transmission 3 times during its useful life.

Tahoes are especially shitty vehicles, one of the worst and least reliable. You're a nigger and a cunt. Fuck off.
>>
>>14325087

>GMC Yukon
>dependable

Kek. Is that a serious question? It's a GM product with almost 100,000 miles. It's fucking shit on wheels. Have fun with the repairs.
>>
>>14328396
Aww boo hoo. Someone had a bad experience so they think all of them are shit. Fuck off. If you didn't buy it new your opinion is irrelevant. And I bet you replaced them with shitty used transmissions instead of a reman.

Actually I've never owned one, but my mechanic has. He keeps buying Suburbans because he needs something that will haul 6 people and tow a boat. Sequoias are too pricey to use as a workhorse, so he just buys Suburbans and replaces the transmission every 2 years.

Keep sucking that Yankee dick faggot, maybe GM will send you a free Cruze in the mail. Bitch nigga.
>>
>>14328430
>buys a Suburban for towing
>doesn't buy the Suburban designed for towing
80e is about as strong as you'll find behind a gasser in a pickup until they started putting the Allison behind the 8.1s, which you could also get in a Suburban.

>>14328396
That's not that bad considering they've got triple the useful life of similar vehicles.

>>14328401
>hurr durr all GMs are the same
No, your Cavalier is not as reliable as a 1 ton pick up. Sorry.
>>
>>14328430
Your mechanic is probably stupid. Towing too much weight including people, or buying a mechanics special and wondering why other shit breaks, or just replacing transmissions willy nilly because he thinks they're shitting out.
>>
Can anyone without autism comment? I want a big suv. My eyes were on the sequoia but maybe I'll go American and get an older model escalade.
