When I was 15 in highschool I couldn't wait to drive. Unfortunately for me, I grew up poor. My mother was diagnosed with leukemia when I was 12. A year later one of the disks in her lower back were damaged and she lost her cdl.

My freshman year of highschool I had enough. I road my pedal bike from business to business looking for work. Living in rural Michigan didn't help matters at all. Nearest village (~560 pop) was 7 miles away.

I was constantly turned down due to my age.
